But that first EP was way more Metal than this material. Melodic or not.
This is very in the Instrumental Rock side of things, very little Metal in their actual sound, which many fans don't really like.
Their first EP "Separation Of" was metal as fuck. Some of you people believe Inspire was their first EP....
Zack Scruggs Yep. Very techy Metalcore during their first EP. Inspire was still Metalcore, but it was definitely the direction that took them to were they are now, playing lead-y instrumental rock.
I found them really really boring to be honest... very predictable melodies, licks and runs.

My grandma rocks out to Polyphia's albums! Since she doesn't know how to use streaming so I had to buy all their CDs for her.
These guys are easily becoming the premier guitar Gods of the future. The blend of melody and shred is excellent. Easily in the likes of Vai, Satriani, Timmons, and Petrucci. Cant wait to see you guys in Seattle.

The first 99 time i heard this band, I was picturing beards and long hair, like Dream Theater. Now i see this, and i realize my prime, and dreams of stardom ended 10 years ago.
Shame about the completely unnecessary sexualisation (and yes I know some people will hate on me for saying that) but it is really sad to see such great musicians adding to the already gender skewed problems with media image. You guys have composed a fantastic piece, again it is a shame that you have brought it down to the level that so many pop artists stoop to to replace their lack of musical talent.

deathknightish WYIT0 If that is the case then the appearance should be mirrored in that of a man who also featured in the video. My issue is the inequality of this appearance and behaviour. If there is a woman dressed provocatively and acting in that manner it is only right that a man be featured doing the same. There is a huge skew in all forms of media to sexualising women and not men and on top of that for no good reason. It is a sexist piece of media.
