2: 49 Yas :D My dad just asked: "What are you watching?" And I was like: "Egyptian Myths?" And he: "I don´t belive you!" Then he looked at the screen and was like: "Why does this guy throw the child in the water?" And I said with laughing tears in my eyes: "Because Set did it". I know the joke isn´t funny but I died laughing when I saw this.
That one is basically an inside joke between friends; I'm writing a story related to the Egyptian gods and the four sons of Horus (the canopic jar gods -- Qebehsenuef, Hapy, Duamutef, and Imsety) are prominent characters in it! I'm glad to hear you liked the jokes!
Noo, I've seen lots of people spell it that way -- and it can be spelled/transliterated in lots of different ways! 😄 I used to write "Seth" too, but I generally pronounce it like "Set" so just started writing it that way instead.
This was mostly created with fan-submitted ideas. No Bastet today! She also doesn't really interact with the other deities in the mythology very much, so there's not a lot of content to go on.
Ap/p is the censored name of the embodiment of primordial chaos in the Egyptian world -- Apep, the serpent (also known as Apophis in Greek). The Egyptians believed that speaking or writing his name would give him power, so they would either destroy the name/image of him or provide an image of another god (like Ra) to defeat the name/image of him. It's an inside joke between my friends and I that we "censor" his name in the same way the ancient Egyptians would have.
I appreciate your comment! I should note that the majority of these vines are based off of my webmedia series' use of the gods, so not all of them are present; the main characters of the story don't include Min, as entertaining as his mythos is.

No one ever includes Min in this shit. How many dick jokes does it take to get him included? ;-;
