- In the early fall of 2019, our friends Josh & Elle Garrels came to visit and share some songs with our discipleship school, The 18 Inch Journey. We filled Jonathan & Melissa's living room and house with some 5 dozen students and Cageless Birds staff and Josh shared some of his beautiful songs and stories, just him and a guitar. It was a special night that many of us still talk about today, and the memory has only been sweetened by the reality of the time we live in. I recently rediscovered my single camera footage and the board audio and felt the need to share from this evening.
We will all fill living rooms and homes with music again and the poets and songsmiths will tell the stories as only they can. Special thanks to the Garrels family.

By far my favorite singer songwriter. Josh's music has given me a sound track that helps me survive life as a PW. Spiritual warfare is real and we were taught in Bible college that good Christian worship music is an effective tool.

Josh has been such a blessing to me and my wife. So ironic that he is talking about what has happened in my life, as he talks about his. Only in my case, it's his music (and His words) that I have played and filled our house with to get through my tough times. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I lived/ born in Dubai, suddenly fired from my job lost almost everything and we had to go back to our country Somalia, imagine the changes from Dubai to Somali and how we felt, at the air plane I was singing colors, mom said to me yes I don’t understand English but I know that we’ll do good there, it’s been 10 months now and my life is colorful🌹 PS I’m singing this sing for 6 years 🌹 peace from Africa

I'm currently battling in despair feeling low, tired of the battles, but a few years ago the Lord showed me as we worshiped a huge camouflage canopy come down to cover us, I pondered and asked the Lord what it was, He said when we worship a camouflage canopy comes over us so the enemy can't penetrate or attack us when praise God up Glory comes down. I've been listening to your amazing music over 4 years I'm a singer songwriter but always seems to be a battle to get anywhere 😢.
