    The movement of the rotor turns the electrostatic generators (the 2 round things at the bottom) generating electricity which is stored in an accumulator. This electricity is used for 1) power for the electrostatic motor that powers the sweep hand (the round thing at top left), 2) power for a standard step motor to drive the minute and hour hands and 3) power the integrated quartz circuit that controls things to keep everything accurate.
    It's been compared to the Seiko Spring Drive but really it's more accurately compared to a Seiko Kinetic movement (rotor spins, generates electricity, which is stored and used to run and control watch).

    Imagine if they did a Chronograph or even a complete Calander with this movement.

    Marc at Long Island Watch did a "Watch & Learn" on this movement late last year or the beginning of this year. It was pretty interesting.

    I'm thankful they made colors besides green, I just wish they'd make the hands bigger and more visible, if the whole watch is skeletonized you don't need tiny skeletonized hands (I'm looking at you RM!)

    All this effort was put into this interesting movement but it’s hard to see the hands to see the time. They kind of blend into the parts of the movement.

    Getting out in space and having to RE PLACE the capacitors is knot a good thing. For the money EYE hope Teddy B. is mistaken but if he's correct, EYE wouldn't pull the trigger. Accutrron may bee on to something but right now its worth about $300 to me if that.

  • @ronaldwilliamson7963
    @ronaldwilliamson7963 Год назад

    The generator makes electricity which is stored in the capacitor. The precisionist is a much better Bulova buy and has more accuracy.

      @@RandomRobReviews I do not blame the watch, The point is that Bulova charges about 60% of the cost of the watch to repair broken crystal. It is ridiculus.... 2,700usd for a crystal????? come on!!
