Beautiful. The song, the video, “Glory glory hallelujah”on that rock at sunset, Erik in that jacket...the whole thing. Perfect 💜😁. Melted me. This video and song were both played on high rotation and it’s still so effective in making me smile. You’re such a great remedy. Xx
I have no idea how I discovered these guys. I’m 25 and from the USA. I had never heard of them before and from what I can tell, they stayed pretty obscure. They should have been a worldwide sensation though. This song is so good.
Saw them on the Fairstar cruise. Actually the mate and I were in the next cabin to theirs. Seeing them play on the decks at night was magical. The night stars were glowing out somewhere in the Pacific and everyone rocked. Best times ever.
1927 Should of been Australia's Big World Wide Success after INXS had Charismatic good looking lead singer who could actually sing & some great great songs Shame something went wrong after 2 Albums
Awesome video! Believe it or not, I actually caught a glimpse of this video as a baby and when I saw the part where they're walking up the road, it all just came back to me!
I have to waited for 24 years for see this MV back in those they I just got their cd its awesome... This song made a good memory with my wife . We always listen this album while we drive to the Collage....
love this heaps! one of my faves of theirs!! this came out when I was 12!! 1927 forever!! :) so glad I met the band about 15 years ago then Eric on his own & got a photo or 2 with him! :) :) Eric!!!
i completly forgot bout this song till i saw em at roxette in melbourne great song they shoulda been bigger was great to see they sound exactly the same well the lead singer did anyways
music videos like this is what made me want to become a sound engineer!! I miss the 80's and 90's when bands could actually play instruments and didn't rely on women in scanty outfits fingering themselves in time to some repetitive piece of drivel!!!!!
@roxcharlie i fully agree with you. too many bands/artists in the eighties and early nineties didn't get the recognition they deserved, and very little can be done now to rectify that. what a waste!!
One of the MOST UNDERRATED Aussie bands in history!!!! They some some of the most iconic tunes and I’m so fkn proud to have grown up with them
They don’t make music like this anymore
I want to go back in time
I was a 1927 fan when I was a teenager - still listening 30 years on - timeless music, awesome band
Was this big in Australia?
Yes it is timeless. Listening and loving it still First heard it when it was released. Still loving it now.

This underrated band is one of the best Australia ever produced, just excellent.
Erik is one of the greatest Australian singers & songwriters of all time. This song should be Australia’s National Anthem.
this band never got the recognition they deserved
Totally agree

Beautiful scenery . nice song !
Love this song!!!!!
i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric Weideman had the highest vocal range in music at the time. Much as I loved INXS, Eric was the better singer
i totally agree! I just realised Eric looked liked and had the same high range singing voice as Morket Harket from Aha.
Although, I thought Jon Stevens has a Fantastic voice. Noise Works
31 years the song still on my minds...
From 🇲🇾👍☕🚬😎🙄😄👍 love😍too..

Would love to have been an assistant director on this.
Sick as band I was 20 when they were at there peak, dam this music takes me back in time, its like being on Dr Who's TARDIS. LMFAO...
Don't forget me
Anybody here old enough to remember the "ghost" story associated with this video??
Think you can take me ?!
can't seem to get this on iTunes :(
You can still get it, you just have to go to one of the bigger retailers and specifically order it. I did
I'll second that
thanks for that annoying bit at the beginning🙄
not like...... LOVE!!!!
I forgot this was 1927
Christ I love this track.
Don’t forget allah and Buddha 😉
Australia has kangaroo, boomerang, iguana are signification and also 1927!!!
Great song, great clip, but Eric - MULLET
Like the song except for the "glory glory hallelujah" in the middle.
then you suck
Similar to Ice house
Back in the days when music was actually music, and not just computer generated crap with mumbling
This was a good song until they launched into "glory glory, halleluah"
* * * * *
Africa?
That African crap ruined the song 😮
