@Kate 64 The airline pays 7000$ per each registered luggage in the case of a total loss. And knowing Indian families tend to pack several bags, Im sure they got more than enough compensation
@Kate 64 "Selfish"? How ironic that you use that word. I suspect most people would prefer to lose their belongings than their lives. Poverty is not an excuse, and airlines usually pay compensation. It’s really educational to watch (although the result of souls lost devastates me) and these incidents helped improve the aviation industry.
Thanks God. This plane was took off from my capital city in Kerala. Every passengers are survived. But One Fire fighting staf was died in this incident while the rescue operation time, who was a local Emirati man.
When the main gear touched down, software inhibited the TOGA switch, and the engines stayed at idle until the thrust levers were moved forward manually (and too late). Another accident caused by misunderstanding the functions of flight-control software, and the folly of "sharing" control between pilots and software in a critical phase of flight.
I was actually wondering why they didn’t throttle up upon go around, they obviously hit TOGA and presumed the thrust levers would just do there thing, but in that situation both pilots were probably bricking it. go arounds are always encouraged but no one ever wants to do one.
Not quite. But close. The AT is inhibited below 35' during landing for a short window. I forget now but its for several seconds. As a result of this fact (its contained in the Boeing Flight Manual, so not a surprise to anyone except these two) ALL crews are trained to manually "follow up" or indeed ADD the thrust manually before the Auto Throttle does. It was the crews JOB to manually add thrust when they hit the Go Around switch or at least ENSURE that the Auto Throttle did it. Yet they pitched up with zero thrust and then waited an eternity before they added power. Boom goes the jet. What a surprise! The 777 has literally an insane amount of thrust. Had they shoved the levers up even half way at that light weight, that plane would have flown out of that botched landing. Its a damn shame. Perfectly good and incredibly competent airplane reduced to scrap.
The crew had plenty of time to initiate go around at 300 feet when wind came behind aircraft. Once the mains touched ground way too late to initiate go around, that said, full throttles b4 retracting gear. Flight Channel what a great job putting this together for us. Spellbinding effects. Thank you so very much.

This is why I prefer 777's to any other make, because when survivable incidents like this have happened, in three cases that I can recall, nearly every passenger survived. They hold together like tanks!
Lakshay It held together pre-fire on ground impact at landing speeds, likely at 140+MPH. All passengers to escaped a largely intact aircraft. Post fire, once everyone was out, the aluminum eventually melted under the intense heat, which is what you see at 8:35 .. That's physics. Aluminum will melt under high heat. Hats off to the ground team and Flight crew who made evacuation so quick. The fire fighters came in so quick and the airhostess shouted 100 times , no luggage but lots of passengers were holding evacuation with luggage attempt. One Fire fighter died was a hero. I love emirates due to highest safety records and highest training.
What I don't understand about this are the following; 1. Why did the flight crew choose to retract the gear at such a low altitude following take-off. While I assume it was because deployed landing gears create extra drag, typically gears are retracted once there's positive climb. 2. The flight crew knew that the was variable wind speed and direction so a head wind could have turned into a tailwind at any instance so that means as they took off into a head-wind, a tail wind would have the opposite affect, i.e. airspeed would decrease as would lift.
As always, another great production from the Flight Channel. You forgot however to mention the 1 ground fatality, a local Emirati firefighter who sacrificed his life while extinguishing the fire. RIP Jassim :(
Am going on an Emirates airline with my whole family to Jordan, and I have been on different airlines I been traveling my whole life and I have too admit Emirates airline is the best from my experience there crew and the seats are comfortable,So when I travel next week I pray too god nothing happens
I have only recently started watching your videos in bulk, they are fantastically detailed and researched as well as well presented using the flight sim. Very interesting to watch. I am however intrigued by some of the language in the captions. Is English not your first language? This is in no way a criticism and doesn't detract from the video at all. My English, although my first language isn't that great!
The aircraft is on fire and the cabin is full of smoke but the passengers are worried about their bags and luggage and then a flight attendant suddenly said " leave your bags behind and jump on the slide jump jump jump. 😱😱😱

Bro amazing video... All passengers and crew members survived, but one person died during rescue operation... I don't know exactly but he was the airport fire fighter...
Bullshit. You are a liar. This was not Emirates first crash, or last. And the fake arabian captain panicked like a cow he is and made a lot of student pilot mistakes. Im a pilot instructor for 3 decades. A shame that guy was put there as a pilot. THAT SHOWS CORRECTION, AND CARELESS FROM THAT AIRLINE..
I'm a new subscriber and you absolutely captivate me every single time I don't know half the time if I'm going to be happy or cry but it's just hard to turn away I think it's a human Spirit praying that everybody's survives so I don't read the comments first but thank you for what you share and the hard work you do and putting these together definitely makes me look at flying a whole lot differently and so I know there's several things that I want to know before I fly on any aircraft now before you just finally think it's going to be fine but I think sometimes you have to listen to your gut if you feel that something's wrong don't get on a plane
B777 TOGA functions do not work when on the ground. They pressed TOGA switch on the ground and didn't check their FMA and did not check that the THR lever were still at idle. That is what caused the crash. Lesson: Actually advance the THR levers forward with your hand whilst pressing TOGA s/w, instead of just pressing TOGA with your index finger.
MN’s Avgeek Sadly it’s not true that every one survived the crash .... a FIREFIGHTER sacrificed his lift to save all of them may he go to heaven and live in PEACE 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 pls one like votes for heaven
this could turn out to be lot lot worse. The same thing happened with an aircraft in my country once, and the plane got obliterated into pieces because when the plane stalled in 100 feet altitude the pilot panicked, he increased the throttle ,his nose still points upward and he banks the plane to the left side causing the wing to struck a lamp then the plane crashed into pieces killing everyone on board. The emirate pilot here are more skilled even tough they made an error and yet they are very very lucky that the b777 have good structural integrity otherwise the plane would probably got torn into pieces after falling 85 feet right on the belly part of the hull.
That's my thought process. With the wind shers and lower speeds needed for landing the jet simply didn't have the engine time and speed to get back up again and the wind would make it all that harder. Seems to just be a few some what basic mistakes that lead to this
The best AIR CRASH INVESTIGATION I HAVE SEEN FROM YOU! WELL DONE! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP THE VIDS FLOWING!!! THE BEST IN THE BUSSINES IS TheFlightChannel!!
The Air Accident Investigation Sector determines that the causes of the Accident are: (a) During the attempted go-around, except for the last three seconds prior to impact, both engine thrust levers, and therefore engine thrust, remained at idle. Consequently, the Aircraft’s energy state was insufficient to sustain flight. (b) The flight crew did not effectively scan and monitor the primary flight instrumentation parameters during the landing and the attempted go-around. (c) The flight crew were unaware that the autothrottle (A/T) had not responded to move the engine thrust levers to the TO/GA position after the Commander pushed the TO/GA switch at the initiation of the FCOM ̶ Go-around and Missed Approach Procedure. (d) The flight crew did not take corrective action to increase engine thrust because they omitted the engine thrust verification steps of the FCOM ̶ Go-around and Missed Approach Procedure. The further contributing factors are interesting too.
seems rather obvious from an outsiders perspective what caused it: the pilots didnt throttle up the engines after the wheels touched the ground. The aircraft had lost too much airspeed and couldn't sustain flight when they tried to go around. Glad everyone survived. RIP the fireman

What happen to the baggages and belonging of passengers...
Thank God for your life.
@@zubibuubi7359 really?
Salil the cool cat got goosebumps, i would have had a heat attack.
@@zubibuubi7359 I saw a video of people trying to claim their bags during evacuation that really pissed me off
Hats off to the ground team and Flight crew who made evacuation so quick. The fire fighters came in so quick and the airhostess shouted 100 times , no luggage but lots of passengers were holding evacuation with luggage attempt. One Fire fighter died was a hero. I love emirates due to highest safety records and highest training.
What I don't understand about this are the following;
RIP Jassim :(
Am going on an Emirates airline with my whole family to Jordan, and I have been on different airlines I been traveling my whole life and I have too admit Emirates airline is the best from my experience there crew and the seats are comfortable,So when I travel next week I pray too god nothing happens

everyone survived? now this really should be called the great escape, miracle that no one died with such an impact

I think bye know you know a fire fighter died and you just want replies
Instant like because I know it will be high quality video :)
Not everyone survived. 1 fireman did die. RIP

Why am I watching this when the airport is right in front of me
Imagine if you were at the airport waiting to board ur emirates flight on a 777 and u see that plane burst into flames, I'd cancel my flight
Ye I know
Me too
I think if he didn't retract the landing gear so early in his effort to go around, thing would be different.
The pilot also didn't change the thrusts of the engines - so yes, most likely is human error.
wrong.statistically it would be more safe to fly.
I was in that flight and I still remember the last 3 minutes
Tell us the events .
The aircraft is on fire and the cabin is full of smoke but the passengers are worried about their bags and luggage and then a flight attendant suddenly said " leave your bags behind and jump on the slide jump jump jump. 😱😱😱

You saved the people onboard the plane
Great editing mate! Love it from Australia

WOW I FORGOT ITS A FRIDAY MEANS A NEW CRASH INVESTIGATION VIDEO!
Mate, this is amazing you really know how to create animations! I love this channel!
Thanks a lot! ☺️☺️
Is everyone else sitting and biting their nails off to find out if everyone (or anyone) survived? I don't think I am ever going to fly again LOL!
When i saw “Everyone Survived” Im so happy
The devil is a stupid ugly thieg, imagine people dying on ground after their journey. So painful
Captain: We ready for windshear? OK, let's focus!
*They focus t o o much*
First Officer: Wait, our descent rat...
*OFFICIAL RYANIAIR LANDING*
Amazing precision according to the actual events! So realistic!
Apart from the time...
Great video as always. But isnt increasing the throttle the first thing to do when you initiate a go around so the plane can gain airspeed?
That's my thought process. With the wind shers and lower speeds needed for landing the jet simply didn't have the engine time and speed to get back up again and the wind would make it all that harder. Seems to just be a few some what basic mistakes that lead to this
Back in the 1995 people will say Boeing 777 is the safest airliner but now..
The best AIR CRASH INVESTIGATION I HAVE SEEN FROM YOU! WELL DONE! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP THE VIDS FLOWING!!! THE BEST IN THE BUSSINES IS TheFlightChannel!!

Thats the first emirates malfunction ever...6 of my friends from my church were coming back from their homeland..God blessed them
I'm glad everyone survived.
Why did the nose stay in the air on the first attempt?
The Air Accident Investigation Sector determines that the causes of the Accident are: (a) During the attempted go-around, except for the last three seconds prior to impact, both engine thrust levers, and therefore engine thrust, remained at idle. Consequently, the Aircraft’s energy state was insufficient to sustain flight.
(b) The flight crew did not effectively scan and monitor the primary flight instrumentation parameters during the landing and the attempted go-around.
(c) The flight crew were unaware that the autothrottle (A/T) had not responded to move the engine thrust levers to the TO/GA position after the Commander pushed the TO/GA switch at the initiation of the FCOM ̶ Go-around and Missed
Approach Procedure.
I always go on Emirates, because i trust it and it’s more safe than any other aircrafts ( in my opinion )
MoonlightDropss ‘ agreed brother I’ve flown with emirates for a very very long time no incidents all flights were smooth
