I can recomment the Deepsea, a solid masculine watch, as good with a suit as with a T & jeans, though too precious to use as a professional heavy diver. And for the solid gold version...nah, a bit to much for that model. You'll never go wrong with a Steel one.

I own 3 Rolex watches : a 1967 5513 Sub (I consider it as "my" Rolex), an exceptional 1984 DJ presented to my father by Rolex for his work (with Rolex special engravement on the caseback), and a Milgauss that I bought in 2012 when starting my collection and feeling the need for a Rolex (not the best decision). The modern lineup, unfortunately, is all about hype, it is pure luxury without much character. I therefore find their 1950s and 1960s steel sports pieces very attractive and exceptional - true heritage.

It is sad, you go to a Rolex store, they don’t have a stock, you have to order and when it will arrive, the store people can’t give a definite date. I miss the days, you go to any watch store in Hongkong and you can choose and get your watch outright. How sad.

I’m a diver and would never take my 40k watch under water . There are plenty of $500 dive watches that do a far better job .
