@@eeanpitcock874 This is for any leaf spring. I like the shackle to sit at an angle away from the leaf. How much angle depends on the rig and what you are trying to accomplish. Just be sure that the shackle will not invert backwards.
could you explain the rear shacked bucket please , wish you would have videoed how you built the rear shackle the rear bucket . dimensions ? . can this be used on road ?
U should get another military bed and shrink it and put it on the blazer would look sick and just curious what are u gonna really need the k10 for after this one is built and has a 350 with that cam and 3 quarter ton axles and short wheel base and being a stick too
Why didn't you just reuse the stock shackle Mount take the torch cut a hole where the shackle mounts to the mount and just invert the shackle put it through the hole it's pretty common and works well
Ray Flores no, but you might wanna consider buying a zero rate add a leaf to slide the axle back 1” since the shackle flip kit pushes the axle 1” toward the cab. the zero rate pushes it back to the center of the wheel well
I bet it rides like a dream with that 90 degree shackle angle
If you redrill and mount the shackle hanger forward, you can gain alot more travel. You lose a touch of lift. But worth it.
How far forward and is this for 52 and 56in springs

Heck about time been waiting to see this!👍🏻
Good job. Please get rid of the red paint on the axle, now!
Where did you get the rear shack plate? Or did you just make it from 4" , 1/4" wall angle?
Thanks, -Big.
It sounded like your skin sizzled when you touched inside the shackle
It probably did, I didn't know it was still hot haha
Ben Kraus whoops, after further investigation....it was just your air compressor lol
Did it ride much better after the flip?

Hey could you mount your go pro on the frame and record your shackle flip in action?!!
Jacob Ellis That would be a good idea for a video, I’ll have to do it sometime in the future!
Fantastics ..😁pip pips and carryon
Dad I'm going through your tool box again..

Exactly how we do it and use cheap lowering shackles from AutoZone for a few more inches
Doesn't that make the shackle weak?
Fedrick Wiley yes it does, cheap and easy to do but a few off road trips and they flex around and eventually break.
Hey Ben or anyone else out there, when doing a shackle flip, do you have to replace the front of the leaf springs shackles too?
Ray Flores No

What happened to the off roaring videos??? But great videos! Keep up the hard work
king keef When this things done I'll post some off-roading videos
Ben Kraus looking forward to it!
First you should clean the god damn rust
Uh that is not a Blazer...
davkenrem It started off as a blazer but the body was removed and now it has a truck cab on it
Lot easier than doing an actual Blazer with the body intact....
Glad you dont use that pointless inch-system. Centimeter/Millimeter rules. All the rest is unpracticable.
you just dont understand fractions
Metric is for people who count with their fingers. Computers haven't been using base 10 since the 1940s. Why is that?
we are american . metric drives us crazy .
