I think both are equally good for different reasons 😊 I like listening to the power and depth of this one but I also like the arrangement of VoicePlay's which is very creative and fun to listen to
Guess I'm a little selfish as Voiceplay is my favorite group. I'm a huge huge fan of theirs. They are the only Acapella group I listen to or watch. Voiceplay, Geoff Castellucci and Pattycake Productions.
That Bass Voice and Colm Macguinness both have voices from the tectonic plates of the earth. Colm isn't always in the depths and some of his recordings of Irish traditional music stays higher.
Its too bad they can't sing below a middle 'C' 😉 Love me some bass!!!! Would love to sing that low and have that amount of clarity in the vocal. It appears they broke through the basement several stories down. They might need help getting up to the ground floor. ❣ Fun reaction and glad you found it to review with your reaction.
Even more bassuf you listen to Misty Mountains by the Wellermen. Bass Gang and more. 14 basses belting it. While I prefer VP and Geoff there is no denying the Beauty and epicness of this and the Wellermen. There is also Valhalla calling first by 1 Bass, building out with first 2 then 3 basses.
Avi did a Short, doing a quick bit of this song in the acoustic loveliness of his cabin in the woods west of Nashville. ruclips.net/user/shortseZc4qiE91Ww
Good version. Voiceplay's is my favorite, but this was something. I thought Peter Barber was part of the Bass Gang, or is it kind of random? Oh, I see, it's not them.
This was a trend on TikTok where every person added their own voice over the original. After a while there was a whole chain of them, people went crazy for it. So therefore this was created in a more professional way.
*Hoist the Colours - The Bass Singers* The King and his Men Stole the Queen from her bed And bound her in her bones The Seas be ours and by the Powers Where we will, we'll roam Yo, Ho, all hands Hoist The Colours high Heave, Ho, Thieves and Beggers Never shall we Die! Yo, Ho, all together Hoist The Colours high Heave, Ho, Thieves and Beggars Never shall we Die! Some men have died And some are alive Others sail on the sea With keys to the cage And the Devil to pay We lay to Fiddler's Green! The bell has been raised From it's watery grave Hear it's sepruchal tone A call to all Pay head the squall Turn your sail towards home! Yo, Ho, all together Hoist The Colours high Heave, Ho, Thieves and Beggars Never shall we Die!
Go to the bottom of the Mariana Trench...you'll find Eric's voice rumbling back at you. :)
That face you made at 3:35 when hearing Eric sing was PRICELESS.
What’s better than one bass solo, but a whole crew of basses harmonizing down in the depths. Just what I didn’t know I needed, but its so good!
One of the best, best covers of this song EVARRRR !!! LOL
I could not agree more! 🤯

Voiceplay adds all these extra high notes that shouldn’t be in most songs and it’s annoying
2:18 seriously love this guys voice, who is he?

The one from thatbassvoice has collaborated with Marwan and a couple of other good songs.
The operatic voice you hear is “Big Brevv”, whom is a trained opera singer.
