You can explore multiple sounds while also sticking to a theme. Cohesion doesn’t have to mean “it all sounds the same” but that it’s a complete package that is consistent in theme and narrative. Albums are supposed to be projects that have some kind of narrative and theme, some kind of story. If it doesn’t have that THEN it should sound sonically similar or be structured in a way that is cohesive.

If anyone wants to boycott new 50-50 and support the old members, or vice versa, that's fine. Fact is we'll have two groups with an implicit rivalry for a long time to come. To say the legal system decided anything is kind of dumb. One failed injunction then the company does what the members asked for anyway. It'll be fun to see them battle it out on the charts.

2. Agree, but there's more nuance. It's hard not to convey the idea that fans can't assume an idol's sexuality without homophobes screeching "He's not gay!!" like it's the worst thing they can imagine. Meanwhile no one said Jimin is gay, only that you can't assume he's straight. I think a lot of misunderstanding comes from that.
