4. The army and hybe one. From my perspective, I haven't seen ARMYs stand with the company. Other fandoms have been using that narrative because ARMY aren’t siding with anyone except BTS. just one thing: let's not forget that over the years the level of blackpink has dropped drastically, they were and are praised for THE BARE MINIMUM; however Lisa has always stood out compared to the others, and has always been highly praised for this, even if (I'm sorry but this must be admitted) she isn't a great artist either..... but the expectations for them are so low that it's enough to move slightly more than the others to become the best performer among blackpink. She's trying to give us more vocal songs like New woman and Moonlit floor, but lip syncing most of it, also trying to still rap but they aren't that impactful or just short verses, trying to give choreo but not show-stopping dance breaks as she used to do (yes, some people even billboard be saying that choreography was missing something in VMAs). So at the end, she's not excelling in any of these categories to be able to build a strong identity as LISA the soloist. What comes to mind when you think about Taeyeon, IU, Rosé? You expect them to sing, give you emotionss and some cute dance but it's not a MUST, they're known as vocalists and that's just fine. Chaeyeon? Chung ha? They're gonna singgg, yes, but mostly known for awesome choreo and dance breaks. Jessi, CL? not even need to explain it. I think her American label or producers don’t know where to put her. Let’s face it she is not a rapper. She is given verses, she practices how to say it and that’s it. That’s how is in kpop. Unfortunately Lisa showed lacking performances both on Vmas and the Global citizen festival. I don’t know why. I was on the Born Pink tour and it was truly amazing. The girls were fire and the audience too. I don’t know but I believe it has to do with the fact her new songs are full of autotune and she cannot sing without it (something like Jimin’s Like crazy encore which also showed that auto tune do it’s work for the song) and that’s not a bad thing but a fact

When I saw Lisa's vma performance on mtv I also thought she was lip syncing but she was not yeah her vocals are not great but she was not lip syncing I suggest watching her fancams there you can hear her voice after hearing you judge whether it is upto your standard or not. About her choreography I do agree that as one of the best dancer in kpop it does not show her skills but you know the choreo is so lisa coded like seeing the it will instantly remind you of her. The only reason why we are till this day tolerating HYBE it’s BTS trust the company, it’s because that have stocks there, it’s because they have staff there who they still trust. Lisa is a good performer and as long-time fan it is bothersome that the choreography/stage energy still doesn't feel like its doing enough to justify the weaker vocals. It is great to see her experiment though (new song is cute), so hopefully through that experimentation they fine tune her performance and give us more stages/material that suit her image and show off her strengths. It kind feels like she's stuck in low-power consider-the-other-group-members mode a lot of the time though, which would be very impressive is she weren't alone on stage... I think she needs to shake that off, cause its the opposite of energy people want from an artist in the West--especially from a soloist. I hope she's louder and more commanding in the next performance.

For me, lip syncing isn’t a big deal. When it comes to being an artist multiple factors play in and every artist is different. Lisa is definitely a case of an artist who put most of her vocal and rap abilities in the studio but on stage focus on dance and stage presence. I think it works for her most of the time as long as during the preformance she is dancing. When she isn’t dancing and just lip syncing it’s kinda awkward. I do want people to stop saying she can’t sing live tho. She can and have in the past but esp recently she been lip syncing more. I do also think y’all need to remember she is brand new to the solo scene and the freedom she have. She is having her rocky start right now but a year or two from now she will be fine

4. The army and hybe one. From my perspective, I haven't seen ARMYs stand with the company. Other fandoms have been using that narrative because ARMY aren’t siding with anyone except BTS. And let’s be real, the truth is, ARMYs hate HYBE ever since Big Hit first announced its transformation into a large corporate entity, back in 2020 or 2021 and that sentiment hasn't changed much over the years. just one thing: let's not forget that over the years the level of blackpink has dropped drastically, they were and are praised for THE BARE MINIMUM; however Lisa has always stood out compared to the others, and has always been highly praised for this, even if (I'm sorry but this must be admitted) she isn't a great artist either..... but the expectations for them are so low that it's enough to move slightly more than the others to become the best performer among blackpink.

I think Lisa is trying to give a little bit of everything without actually focusing on a specific category or making an effort to be known for [something]. She's trying to give us more vocal songs like New woman and Moonlit floor, but lip syncing most of it, also trying to still rap but they aren't that impactful or just short verses, trying to give choreo but not show-stopping dance breaks as she used to do (yes, some people even billboard be saying that choreography was missing something in VMAs). So at the end, she's not excelling in any of these categories to be able to build a strong identity as LISA the soloist. What comes to mind when you think about Taeyeon, IU, Rosé? You expect them to sing, give you emotionss and some cute dance but it's not a MUST, they're known as vocalists and that's just fine. Chaeyeon? Chung ha? They're gonna singgg, yes, but mostly known for awesome choreo and dance breaks. Jessi, CL? not even need to explain it.
As much as it's great that Lisa is exploring a little bit of everything we don't exactly know her strong suit yet, we thought it was dancing but at least in her solo stages so far there hasn't been much of an impact or memorable moments, some people even commented that she's walking and doing hand moves more than anything and this kind of comments aren't common for someone like Lisa... Unfortunately Lisa showed lacking performances both on Vmas and the Global citizen festival. I don’t know why. I was on the Born Pink tour and it was truly amazing. The girls were fire and the audience too. I don’t know but I believe it has to do with the fact her new songs are full of autotune and she cannot sing without it (something like Jimin’s Like crazy encore which also showed that auto tune do it’s work for the song) and that’s not a bad thing but a fact

When I saw Lisa's vma performance on mtv I also thought she was lip syncing but she was not yeah her vocals are not great but she was not lip syncing I suggest watching her fancams there you can hear her voice after hearing you judge whether it is upto your standard or not. About her choreography I do agree that as one of the best dancer in kpop it does not show her skills but you know the choreo is so lisa coded like seeing the it will instantly remind you of her. But I do wish that her choreo becomes more creative showcasing her skills.

The only reason why we are till this day tolerating HYBE it’s BTS trust the company, it’s because that have stocks there, it’s because they have staff there who they still trust. After removing Bang pd from his CEO position everything has been managed differently in every label.

Lisa is a good performer and as long-time fan it is bothersome that the choreography/stage energy still doesn't feel like its doing enough to justify the weaker vocals. It is great to see her experiment though (new song is cute), so hopefully through that experimentation they fine tune her performance and give us more stages/material that suit her image and show off her strengths. It kind feels like she's stuck in low-power consider-the-other-group-members mode a lot of the time though, which would be very impressive is she weren't alone on stage... I think she needs to shake that off, cause its the opposite of energy people want from an artist in the West--especially from a soloist.

Some NK (which is actually called Popular Democratic Republic of Korea, there's no North in it's actual name) defectors are actually people who were kidnapped by the South Korean mafia or the government. They are sent to places that are much like a prison, then are brainwashed into believing that NK is a hellhole (when the bad living conditions are actually the result of so many years of sanctions, and still the government makes a huge effort into making people's lives as comfortable as possible. Everything you hear from western/SK media is a lie)

For me, lip syncing isn’t a big deal.
When it comes to being an artist multiple factors play in and every artist is different. Lisa is definitely a case of an artist who put most of her vocal and rap abilities in the studio but on stage focus on dance and stage presence. I think it works for her most of the time as long as during the preformance she is dancing. When she isn’t dancing and just lip syncing it’s kinda awkward.
I do want people to stop saying she can’t sing live tho. She can and have in the past but esp recently she been lip syncing more. I do also think y’all need to remember she is brand new to the solo scene and the freedom she have. She is having her rocky start right now but a year or two from now she will be fine
This attitude right here is why bp is so lazy when it comes to their music. You keep defending them for not singing live or bad performances. There are tons of actual talented artists who give everything when they are performing. Bp is all media play and no talent.

@@minnie-rk7ff I’m not defending bad performances since you can look at many videos about born pink from last year and I was calling them out in the comments. I am defending lip syncing because 1. I don’t care that much 2. I explained what I think Lisa case is.
The music industry is a tampered with luck game. They won at it and y’all are pressed. Saying they are all media play and no talents tells me you don’t know enough to speak. There is talent but y’all want them to be hitting KIOF type high notes so y’all can say their fame is justified.

Am i deaf? because i 100 PERCENT heard Lisa sing LIVE most of the time. The bactrack was loud asf and that was super annoying but i could deffo tell she was singing in most of her performances

The rules of the award state that they can choose the winner if it is in the sponsor's interest. In addition to being written for anyone interested in reading, artists have already announced that they won the award because the winner of the vote did not show up. It is quite obvious that they give the awards to those who are present and perform even if they lost the vote.
