I don't see why people keep saying "they sound just like Evanescence." Well wake up they are the people that made the music, Amy only brought in vocals, so it only makes sense that they sound similar. I've seen We Are the Fallen live and they are great. The problem that Evanescence has was it was all about Amy, at least with this band they get recognition as well.
For the technically ignorant. Please keep in mind that all music and video shown on RUclips is heavily compressed. Videos like this are recorded with a cheap hand held video camera using a microphone not designed to deal with the volume of a live performance. The result is not representative of the actual live sound. I saw these guys in Seattle and they sounded amazing. The mix, vocals and band sounded great.

People also compare Carly to Amy because they look alike. And if you don't see their resemblance, you may be a bit blind. I understand that they are two different bands, but you gotta admit that Ben had to not let go of Amy to get a girl that resembles her. When I seen Carly being interviewed on Idol, my exact words were "She looks like Amy Lee!!!" There are many great female singers who don't look like Amy, and I bet they'd want the shot to lead a rock band. I do like Carly, but why her?
@BumHaven If it helps any with my videos I posted I used a thin layer of tissue over the mic (or "mic" for that matter) to help with the distortion and a program called Vegas 9 to lift the vocals up a bit.
@x0xTarnIsh She didn't sing "Bring Me To Life" as her audition. She sang it on the American Idol tour. And she said in an interview that someone reccomended that she sing it, so she did. I honestly believe that Carly wasn't ever really an Evanescence fan. She didn't know much about them

@DzyandDoofs generally what you can take from the fact that someone sounds good on mixed and edited tracks, but crap live then they're probably not a great singer, but then edit their voice more in the studio. I'm not saying Carly IS one of those people, but it certainly appears that way! IMO if someone can't sing live then they can't sing. Full stop. I get that it's hard to sing when you're running around, I do it myself, so I know, but if you edit your tracks its the editors talent, not yours
Saw them in NYC with HIM. The guys completely overpower her. I couldn't even make out the songs until I heard them here, and they are not bad at all. I don't think she is going to be with them long. LeCompt looked completely pissed at the end of their turn, just threw his pick at the crowd and left. I really like their music though, but they either have to tone down their play or find a more powerful singer with some real pipes.

Have you heard Amy Lee live? No one can sing in tune when they can't hear themselves or the band at a superloud concert like this. Amy Lee couldn't stay on key when I saw Evanescence in Cleveland right after they hit

Or maybe she could learn how to project more, Opera singers learned it centuries ago, so why not? I have to agree with you theotheraccount3284, look at Ronnie James Dio. He is an incredible vocalist with a massive voice but he couldn't sing well when it came to singing Ozzy Era Sabbath. You just need to work with what's given to you, all in all she isn't bad and I think I like her more

Why is she struggling with those head notes..? Sorry but she's quite nothing to Amy..! Also, her technique isn't helping. Tilting your head back when singing high notes puts more pressure on your vocal chords so that's why most of those high ones were well... not that great tbh...
