honestly this concert is still one of the most solid female rock vocals, she is SO good!

It's pretty stupid how people love to trash this band because they are doing their own thing as opposed to remaining in a band that had become Amy Lee and Evanescence. When one member of the group decides that she wants to call the shots instead of collaborating with the other three members it's no longer a partnership.
Amy is a fine singer and is quite successful in her career as a solo artist with a backup band. Yes, that is what Evanescence is now, make no mistake. To ridicule Carly who is a fine singer and make comparisons is again silly and childish. Grow up.
I absolutely agree. Everyone should just go watch Amy's acoustic performances, when she doesn't jump around. She sounds so freaking brilliant.

I agree :) Here we can clearly see that every singer has different qualities in different areas. We can't compare Amy and Carly, not because one is far better than another, this is not the case. We can't compare them because they're both different and brilliant in their own ways.

Carly wrote the lyrics to this entire song by herself BEFORE she joined We Are The Fallen -_- She even explained what she wrote the song about in the beginning of this video, Ben just helped with composing the instrumentals.
Seeing them with Cirque Des Damnes, it enhances their Gothic vibe. This band is much darker than Evanescence.
The Open Door era Evanescence is probably as dark.

I like the way Carly sounded on American Idol. Fits her voice. What I'm talking about is that she started dressing different and all that. About being compared to Ev I mean everything they do they always mention they were in Ev and are Grammy winners... Even on the official website. They said they don't wanna be compared to Ev and they are completely sepated things but talk about Ev as a way to describe them.
My first post was a response to those who said Amy sucks and Carly rules.
You know who else always jumps around on stage? Carly :P The difference is, Carly can have both pitch control and showmanship, while Amy can have one or the other.

Amy plays the piano in half her songs. She doesn't jump and play at the same time. And of course she doesn't ALWAYS jump on stage because a) it looks stupid and b) it affects performance quality. She doesn't have to bounce around like she has ADHD to have good stage presence. Carly has improved exponentially. Her performances from a few years ago always had pitch problems, but every song she did at Cirque Des Damnes was even better than the studio :D Watch out Amy, Carly's catching up with you!

well just the majority of this band is Evanescence , with a different singer,, Same reason there will be always be a Debate which Van Halen is better ,, ?? they made more powerful songs with roth but Brought a bigger Fan Base with Hagar, and they sounded way better with Sammy in concert

Went for the same thing? The vast majority of this band were members of that "period". They didnt try to sound like evanescence, they just continued making the same music they made before.
There's a reason evanescence sounded different after the first album as well.

Amy is a perfect singer live, don't even go there. And you can sing as many praises as you wish about Ben, but even without him, Amy is successful. She recently won rock goddess of the year, is that what a bad singer would achieve? She alone is more real than the whole of 'We Are The Fallen'
Soooooo to the person who is convinced that WATF will ruin her voice..... No. If she knows how to properly utilize her upper range and her head voice the jumps aren't bad, nor is it really that much to ask.

The thing that is sad about this is that it isn't literally "live." The audio sounds like it was tweaked in the studio and doesn't line up at some points. Ex- 2:04 when she sings "save you this time."
Carly sounds really great live, but you also have to take into consideration that Amy does a million things while singing, while Carly just sings. I would love to see anyone of you guys play Amy's rhythms while singing and belting out those forever long notes. I'll be the first one to say I can't do it. lol

Gordon Gekko Amy usually can only pull off her high notes in the studio versions. She isn't very good live - she strains a lot. Carly's really good live.
Mikhail Cazi There are actually quite a few exceptionally good live acoustic samples of Amy's singing, which completely contradict her other crappy live performances. To be honest, I'm not sure what to believe any more... Anyway, Carl's voice sounds like a slightly lower type, so it is natural for her not sing as high as Amy. Also, she sounds quite good and on pitch (even though I am not really interested in the band in general), which is very important.
20419943002 I don't disagree. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge Evanescence and Amy fan. And I've seen plently of great performances by Amy. I love her voice, too. But Carly seems effortless when you compare her to Amy singing live.

There are some instances where the edit is like 3 seconds behind the song where the video clip shows her holding a note but the audio is lyrics.
She's def not lip syncing. First off, she diversifies notes from the album version in several spots. Second, the girl has proven she can belt live, especially in her old American Idol videos.
The editing job really is a shame though.... great concert.

Either the audio got off sync in every video of this performance that exists in the world or she's lip syncing.
I'm pretty sure the audio is delayed about 0.6 sec with the videio, same thing happens to Ben in the guitar. You can also see how Carly is breathless some times at the end of the song and she has to sing it in a different way and the audio does not change at all. It was an awesome performance.

Her voice does not fill like Amy`s voice does Amy fills everyone`s ears it is a voice that fills the whole place OK? and by the way... I couldn't disagree more. When I heard her on Idol I just didn't think most of the songs she sang worked for her. Like when she performed Blackbird, I couldn't help but think "Her voice sounds amazing, but this doesn't work for her". I'm glad she's being the artist she wants to be, not the artist everyone else wants her to be. Gotta respect that ♥

It's all a marketing game, Amy herself even said that those awards are stupid. Also, I literally lold when you said Amy is perfect live. Perfect? Are you kidding?! She's not even 100% perfect in the studio, much less onstage. She's amazing, but far from perfect. And you you can sing as many praises as you want about Amy, but even without her, BEN succeeded, too.

Actually, she is into metal/hard rock more anything else....What she did on American Idol was do songs that would give her a chance to win....Amy sounds good live, just like Carly does...they both have their faults and fuck ups....just tired of all the comparing and whining about both bands....And about the whole "trying to be compared to EV'....Shit, everyone but Carly was apart of EV...this is the music they like and want to create...
Nice live version... but disappointing to see that Carly avoids hitting the big note in the song.. it's a shame as I think she could easily hit it.

Voices of Amy and Carly is INCOMPARABLE!!! Carly does have a very nice voice, BUT really, AMY is AMAZING as long as she doesn't jump around the stage. Listen to her acoustic performances. I'd respect WATF if they weren't trying to be compared to Evanescence. And I'd respect Carly if she was true to herserlf. Any of you who watched American's Idol knows really well that this kind of music isn't the genre Carly was looking for and this just doesn't fit her. And for those of you who says Amy can't sing live... If you listen to this version of Bury me alive you can clearly notice that the voice melody was changed and that the highest notes aren't there.
She actually has technique.. something that is not present at singers that sing into a microphone. And she`s also a mezzo.. a real one. Not like Amy or Simone that are both sopranos.:))))

Carly is an amazing singer, but WaTF will ruin her if they keep writing songs like this for her. Because high notes is not her best vocal range, her skill might lead her to the right pitch, but it won't be better than she singing on the key that actually fits her.
I actually think this song is awesome but I actually feel that way with my old friend with there not anymore they just used me for stuff like if they can have some of my stuff animal that my dad or my mom or I got I give them but not any more because I have bitter friends now😋😋
I think it has to do with the fact that she went from pop music to a Gothic Metal band, she's not as familiar as she should be. That is a rather big stretch, American Idol and making a pop album to a metal music. In pop music a lot of the fans will always come off a ignorant due to the competition involved. Metal bands are much closer to their fans than the pop scene and I think she is probably just figuring that out that nobody in the metal community cares about her fame.
Carly's voice was fixed at the concert. You can feel the autotune. I like Carly. Just shouldn't compete with Amy cuz she CAN'T

Canta mucho mejor que Ammy, solo un sordo pensaría lo contrario quizás no sea tan linda como ella pero esto es música y además es muy guapa igual. La critica es para el look se ve mal con ese vestido y de gotica, claramente no es su estilo, la visto con gorro y pantalones y se ve mucho mejor.
