YES make a video showing to sit at the bonfire and get people stuck there so they have to make a new save and go all the way back through without resting at the fire. You are fucking awesome at making tutorial videos bro nice job!!
I have made a video on how to leave the Catacombs, but generally you want to go where the big skeleton is, take a right and climb upstairs, you'll eventually be led into going to the upper parts of the Catacombs which are near the exit
Man I just wanted to grab this to do a run but of course it’s worst place. Almost makes me not even wanna try for it. Doesn’t help I did a skip for the catacombs my initial playthrough so I don’t know the layout at all. DS1 has great atmosphere lore and charm but oh boy can I feel it’s age. Coming from DS3 and ER (not to mention playing Nioh) everything is so clunky it hurts.
@@TREVORVADER I kind of like the clunkiness although it is evident that the newer games are more fluid. I do recommend going slow with a blunt weapon though!
@@Giaki I’m a fan of old games but not really a fan of that clunkiness. Some games I’ve played enough to be used to but others not so much. I didn’t play DS1 until post DS3 and ER so it’s always kind of rough adjusting. Funnily enough after complaining though I just finally managed to get to it with a sliver of hp left. Now my run can begin.
@@TREVORVADER Oh I absolutely get that! I've seen this happen to many sagas. The same applies to those who play Monster Hunter World and go back to the earlier ones, that is a WILD jump!
Yeah it sucks! But you can generally escape just fine by holding something to block their first attack with, not even necessarily a shield, a two-handed weapon can work as well
I have made a video showing just that! But you generally have to go upwards as much as possible. If you find the cave with the big skeleton, take a right and climb the ladder in there, you'll be at the start of the Catacombs in no time!
First of all you must find the boneward. Home in one of the 4 chests. Just go up to the lift. And after finding you can go to the Great Scythe and get back easily after finding.
I made a video on how to get back from the Catacombs to Firelink shrine! And there's also a guide to levers, bridges and doors if you need it! But generally, try going to the cave with the big skeleton, turning right and following the path
Haha you can get it! If you're having issues I recommend you use the Astora Straight Sword to avoid their respawn or a blunt weapon to K.O. them and have more time to run
I made a video on how to go back from Vamos to Firelink, it should help you out! Else, you can go in the cave with the NPC message, find the Big skeleton and take a right, that should take you to the start of the Catacombs
I've made a guide on how to get out of the Catacombs! Also in general you just gotta go upwards. Tl;dr find the cave with the big skeleton and go to his right until you climb a ladder and continue from there
I also have a video on how to get back to Firelink, but generally speaking you need to either go slowly by killing the necromancers (fire shooting dudes) and then everything else, or run upwards as much as possible
I have made another video on how to get back to Firelink from vamos, who is on the bottom of the Catacombs! Generally speaking though you gotta backtrack the way you came, either by killing everything slowly (or rushing the necromancers since they don't respawn) or by trying to suicide run until you learn the way back up haha
For anyone having issues with the spiked bridges or levers, I finally made a quick guide. HERE YOU GO:

They're both amazing and have different uses, I like the uchi more personally because it's faster, but I like upgrading both weapons as the scythe works much better against large groups of enemies
YES make a video showing to sit at the bonfire and get people stuck there so they have to make a new save and go all the way back through without resting at the fire. You are fucking awesome at making tutorial videos bro nice job!!
I made a video on how to get back from the Catacombs!
there were other ways to get out, no need to be an ass he was just helping
Great now how do I leave
I have made a video on how to leave the Catacombs, but generally you want to go where the big skeleton is, take a right and climb upstairs, you'll eventually be led into going to the upper parts of the Catacombs which are near the exit
@@Giaki thanks but I got out on my own
Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Your the man tyvm!!
I hate skeletons
@@d3athfromab0ve70 understandably so, haha.
Hit em with a blunt weapon and you'll make short work of em!
Same man. They’re like the worst enemy in like every video game I’ve encountered them in.
Wait there was a bonfire here and im only finding this after 100 hours damn lol
@@nischalb5479 Yeah that is imho the most hidden bonfire in the game, even more so than the one in Sen's Fortress
Does this weapon exist in the base version of the game? other than the remastered
Yes it does! I actually used it for most of my first playthrough when the game came out
@@Giaki Thank you very much bro!
@@GiakiI just got it here, thanks for the tutorial!!
@@king_nuby3641 you're most welcome!
Gonna be honest, f*ck Dark Souls 1 skeletons.
Thanks for the guide man.
@@a.s.raiyan2003-4 Definitely hahaha
You're welcome!
can you make a tutorial for how to return to firelink shrine?
I did! It is on my channel, from Vamos to Firelink Shrine!
Why does the bridge have spikes now ?
It gets changed on your first visits, you have to find the switches that change the bridges back!
The actual reason would be a spoiler!
@@Giaki it’s okay I found the door to the right & rolled down & got the scythe then I ended up jumping off now I can start the game with it thank you
@@Uhh16 I'm glad you found that solution! It's probably the best way out, enjoy your run!
thanks i got this
Thank you
You're welcome!
Can you go back to Firelink Shrine?
@@laviedevantsoi2322 yes! I've made a video showing exactly that!
@@Giaki May the flames guide thee
I’m happy I got the scythe but now I’m being anally raped by skeletons when I’m trying to get out at lvl1
Yeah it sucks! But you can generally escape just fine by holding something to block their first attack with, not even necessarily a shield, a two-handed weapon can work as well
Don't rest
He did that to get views on his "way back to firelink" video. This dude is a real 5 head
And now I can't get out of that place ':( I memorized the route to enter, but not otherwise lmao
You could follow my "from vamos to firelink" guide! But it shouldn't be too hard to get out!
how do i get back to firelink???????
I have made a video showing just that! But you generally have to go upwards as much as possible. If you find the cave with the big skeleton, take a right and climb the ladder in there, you'll be at the start of the Catacombs in no time!
Or just don't rest at the new bonfire and just run straight from fire link to the scythe lol.
First of all you must find the boneward. Home in one of the 4 chests. Just go up to the lift. And after finding you can go to the Great Scythe and get back easily after finding.
Maybe I shouldn't have went down here as I just started the game because I don't really how to get out of here now
I have made a video on how to get out of there if you're still struggling!
Where is the video to return pls ?
ruclips.net/video/WO3c2oMoEbM/видео.html
Here you go!
How do u get out afterwards tho?
I have a video on how to get out of the catacombs!
Now how do you get back after
I made a video on how to get back from the Catacombs to Firelink shrine! And there's also a guide to levers, bridges and doors if you need it!
But generally, try going to the cave with the big skeleton, turning right and following the path
No fucking way there was a bonfire there
Hahaha I know right!?
This one to me was harder to find than the one in Sen's fortress!
Maybe I don’t really need the scythe
Haha you can get it!
If you're having issues I recommend you use the Astora Straight Sword to avoid their respawn or a blunt weapon to K.O. them and have more time to run
Yes this is almost impossible to get and will ruin your experience. Just don't
You can also get it slowly by wilting away the mobs with a Divine/Occult weapon, it makes getting the Scythe muuuch easier
@@Giaki I eventually got through but had to rage lol. Jesus what a pain. I forgot how clunky ds1 is, but it's still worth it
@@iHaveTheDocuments good job man, it's always worth it in the end haha
but the drip tho
@@AlexV-ye4ms the most important part
how to comeback ?
There's a vid on my channel about that! From Vamos to Firelink
Ok but how do u get out
I made a video on how to go back from Vamos to Firelink, it should help you out! Else, you can go in the cave with the NPC message, find the Big skeleton and take a right, that should take you to the start of the Catacombs
wtf man? why would you show resting at that bonfire - you can't get out again. you plunge down at the beginning
I fucking hate this area
It's probably designed to be as annoying as possible hahaha
Fucking nice, thank you
How do i get out im suck!!!! 😢
I've made a guide on how to get out of the Catacombs! Also in general you just gotta go upwards.
Tl;dr find the cave with the big skeleton and go to his right until you climb a ladder and continue from there
I tried this and I’m now stuck in the catacombs plz send help
I also have a video on how to get back to Firelink, but generally speaking you need to either go slowly by killing the necromancers (fire shooting dudes) and then everything else, or run upwards as much as possible
@@Giaki found the link in the comments, thank you!!
You fuckin rock.
@@pipelinethug you do too!
I cant get back😥
I made a video from vamos back to Firelink!
1:13 git gud m8
How the fuck do I get out after now 😂
I have made another video on how to get back to Firelink from vamos, who is on the bottom of the Catacombs!
Generally speaking though you gotta backtrack the way you came, either by killing everything slowly (or rushing the necromancers since they don't respawn) or by trying to suicide run until you learn the way back up haha
Lol 2:49
