My son just bought the silver version of this model likely due to his late father's love for the early generation of beetles, my husband would have loved this model
The decklid hitting the back bumper is an original feature that many bugs actually do that. Incredible car my friend. Great detailed video. That rc car ain't cheap. About 250$ on Amazon. Nice addition to the enthusiast.... 👍
Congrats Greg, excellent explanation of the little car and it's capacities Absolutely loved the scenery you choose to show it maximizing his features and overall the great look it has Well done my friend!!
Man this is a quality scale model. Thank you for driving it around. I know most people with that type of scale model would run from that muddy ditch, and just go the other way. And then that shot at the end looking out across the water with the snow and ice. Awesome man
does the fan actually cool the real motor or is it just for effect for simulation? I would think the drive motor being hidden in the fake tranny would overheat it quickly.
Great video, you live in a great area, nice! I don’t understand why this company that is building these scale replica r/c vehicles doesn’t include a driver figure. Tamiya does it correctly , I would like to see replica rc companies follow Tamiya on this.
Did you try turning the handle on the rear deck lid? I believe that would clear the bumper if it turns. Also could you imagine how cool a four-wheel-drive beetle would be in real life?
Pretty cool! A metal body would help with how the suspension works but that's way too expensive. There's a reason why hobby grade RC doesn't do metal bodies
Exactly what I thought too! This needs more weight for the suspension to work properly. Like this guy does for all his cars, lead wheel weights ruclips.net/video/MZcqoTKHlTg/видео.html
Nice review. Nice details. Another very niche model from Rochobby. Not sure why they pick 1/12 though....isn't rc military scale usually 1/16? Not into it myself but would be nice to match tamiya tanks scale. Personally would love to have in 1/10
You Need To Paint It As HERBIE. And I'd Like To See Them Make THE 1958 PLYMOUTH FURY KNOWN AS CHRISTINE (OO)====v====(OO) And K.I.T.T. FROM KNIGHT RIDER. 😃👍.
Toy grade, like you would see at walmart. Tiny motor encased in plastic.. Cheap drivetrain. It looks cool, but when it breaks, it's not going to be repairable
Seeing this adorable thing in action is just so satisfying
Another very scale model from Roc Hobby! The suspension looks exactly like you would find on a VW Bug! I just wish they would do these models in 1/10.
I'm going to weather it for Rc car action Magazine

Hope they make a Schwimmwagen next!
These days, Rock Hobby makes 1/12 size rc cars with great precision. This is also quite attractive. It's a wonderful video.👍👍👍

Well done my friend!!
I don’t have any of the FMS cars yet but I definitely want this one!
Great review! I’m glad you liked it !!
Such a cool little Beetle! Love the detail 👍 Great video as always✊
Liked and subscribed. Just ordered my 82e. Planned mods ahead. Thanks for the video.... well done.
Rally Beetles! 🤙
It looks very real
The vehicle looks amazing very little detail to do
🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Awesome! Looks pretty cool. Gotta love those old Beetles. Thanks
Can't wait to see some Rally Beetle builds off of this!
Wow , the grandpa of Sandscorcher NICE REVIEW !!!!
Great review and video Greg. That is a sweet little VW.
Love it! It looks a bit like mine, even though mine is many years younger than the one this is modelled after! I think the detail is amazing!
EXCELENTE VOLKs WAGEN PERFEITO 👍👍👍 🇧🇷
If 1/10 of probably get one. Great review, awesome storage case!
This is awesome. I would love to customize and make it a California Style Lowrider!
My boys slash 4x4 has a buggy body and a roll cage I built to fit inside the buggy body. Dad needs this to show off in!
They should a make military green on this one
Cool bug and great review brother

Looks nice, but would be perfect in 1/16 scale to match the tanks. Btw that blackout light on left side is called Notek. ;)
What's the wheel hex size. Wanna put some different tires on . 1.55 or maybe some 1.0 little guy mtr
Awesome!!

Is the pan/chassis the same as the kubelwagen?
Many a decklid Ive ever opened on early Bugs got caught an the rear bumper because the bumper always got bumped or pushed in slightly.

The handle didn’t budge and I didn’t want to force it.
This is based on a real vehicle which was 4wd. It wasn't technically a Beetle though.
@@coreyhalverson2126 KdF Wagen! See my New Comment
@@YM-rm7mh What?
@@coreyhalverson2126 You Correctly Said "It wasnt technically a Beetle" I just gave You it's Proper Pre - war name (KdF Wagen)
I’m just waiting for mine to arrive. I already have a driver for it.
Awesome! Enjoy!
I’d love it if they could eventually do a 1/6 FJ40 but with links not leafs
Those molded details are begging for a complete scale paintjob :)
Waiting for 1/6 scale to come out

is it water proof
Manda um pra mim no Brazil ..
It looks really amazing but it looks like it would be hard to make repairs

I think Tamiya still makes a 1/10th scale bug with a clear body you can paint
Kubelvagen its just heavily modified Beetle in real life , so models are similar to.
Now add an Autobot sticker.
It should come with rusted out floorboards
I learned how to drive a stick in a VW bug
Looks like the suspension is way too hard. Needs much softer springs.
If anyone has a birthdate of November 20th 1972, you better get one it's got a personalized plate for you!
How much is it?
$270

Not bad, but the suspension is way too stiff.
They dont come more realistic than that. Very nice model but I just wish they would stick with the more common scales like 1/10, 1/18, 1/24.
KDF bug!
Lol they all do that on the real ones 🤣
Toy grade, like you would see at walmart. Tiny motor encased in plastic.. Cheap drivetrain. It looks cool, but when it breaks, it's not going to be repairable
Looks like China
Pathetic suspension tuning. Come on, it's so easy!
How could they release a product that is so flawed?1
Great scale runs like shit
no lookd like crap sorry
Eh… no! The VW bug was in no way built for the off-road in this form… it was just an efficient, cheap commuter vehicle…
The Type82E was built for use on the battlefield. Research is always good before commenting.
