Deutsche Reichsbahn Classics - Märklin trains in motion

- Опубликовано: 5 июл 2024
- By popular request, I took some Deutsche Reichsbahn stock out for a running session on my automated analogue Märklin M-Track layout.
We have an eclectic choice on the track, I think the video featured an example of every Deutsche Reichsbahn model produced by Märklin in the 1980s.
I’ll try a slightly different format for this running session, in this video you'll find:
- a quick overview of the models as they go over the ramp,
- some station traffic with a few short shots of what is happening elsewhere on the layout,
- a few engine swaps so we can see the shunting yard and turntable in action.
I hope you enjoy the video,

Schön. Alles, was ich am Märklin-System liebe, genau dort.
glad you liked it. Thanks!
I love the imperfections of analog operation
🙏
Magnificent! Your videos are informative and a pleasure to watch.
Thank you very much!
My friend Pierre's M Gleis layout is also a superb exemple of pure Märklin atmosphere!
Outstanding! Sir, You amaze me!
Glad you liked it!
As always it’s a joy to watch running session on this most perfect layout, and hear the Märklin humming of the trains, thank you for sharing this. ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your time today.
Hi, that‘s the way I like gaming with modell trains, watching at running trains but also changing loco‘s and waggons 👍
Cool 👍
Echo the sentiments expressed here, marvelous! The coal looks particularly fine. I can relate to the Rheingold as have one, the bijou in my collection 😁Having a particularly nice loose leaf tea as I enjoy😁
Cheers, enjoy your cuppa.
yes please make a video on how to fix loose wheels i have the exact same model with same problem. Thanks again for a superb video..
Noted!
Oh wonderful! What a nice selection of equipment. I especially like the two large (and strange) freight locos. The Mallet is really curious. Always nice to put my feet up, sip my whiskey, and enjoy your entertaining videos. I would love to see a video on how you fixed the big red streamliner but thanks for this splendid video. Cheers.
Thanks for the visit, thanks for the suggestion, but i;d have to break it again to show how I fixed it ;) I have a similarly broken loco of another type I might dig out at some point though. Enjoy the rest of your whisky...
Hello. Video Super Klasse 🎥🛤️🚅🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌👍👍👍👍👍 Thanks........Fim👮🚂🤚
Thank you very much! 🙏🙏🙏
Molto bello il video 👍👏
🙏👏
As the germans would say "Traumhaft"
:))
Die guten alten Märklin Klassiker...
@@The3rdRail Genau! :))
Enjoyed this a lot - nice to see the O-Wagen with the new coal loads in action! 👌
Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely stunning and brilliant! Another wonderful video and story-telling!
Thank you so much! Have good rest of your Sunday.
What a flabbergasting collection. Just wow 💓 We most definitely would like to see the 3089 fixed in a dedicated video. Would you happen to know if that wheel loosening is a recurring known issue on these models? We haven't experienced such with any model as of yet but we don't have the 3089 in our assortment. Cheerio.
Well, thanks for the compliment. I would have to break the 3089 to be able to fix it in a video 😀, but I have a loco of a different type with similar problems I can use. I cannot tell if it is a recurring issue, but it can easily happen when trying to move the wheels by hand on a ceased locomotive, so it is always a point to check when buying one of these if possible (difficult to do this online for example...). Cheers.
@@The3rdRail Very valuable helpful feedback. Thanks a bunch 👍
superbe !
Merci!
great session. I am now changing my plan for my layout to have something that is running rather than in perpetual build. I think a fix it on wheel quartering would be great too as I have a few models with "wheels" off which will need that and you have the knack of making these things clear and practical.
Thanks a lot and good luck with the planning
A fantastic video which made me wish I had the space to get my Märklin HO collection out. I do however think it's time for you to mount a camera on a wagon for some driver's veiws...
food for thought...
Thank you for this video. At 12:31 we see a small electronic circuit. It looks interesting Could you give us information about it.
no problem, this is a homemade wireless controller I use for my accessories, look on the channel where there are a few videos about the wireless controls I designed.
@@The3rdRailThank for your reply. However the 3 videos related to the wifi control seem to not be available anymore.
@@ppol4264 I deleted a few older videos a while back, that's possible... There are still plenty of wifi control related videos available on the channel though. Basically, I built circuit boards with ESP8266 microcontrollers, which I control with an application I developped using NodeRed. Each board controls and powers up to 2 signals, and is itself powered using the Marklin lighting circuit.
Firstly I really enjoy your videos and thank you for the uploads. I hope you don't mind me asking this question to you and your followers.
I recently purchased a Fleischmann ho 6652 turntable. Unfortunately I model DC and the person I purchased it from said it was DC but it's actually AC.
I live in Ireland so I don't know anyone who models marklin ac.
Other than eBay Germany are there any other modelling websites on the continent that people know of that I could try?
Sorry for this but thank you 🙏
No need to apologise 😉
I never touched one of these turntable, but I think the bridge motor is AC powered while the track is DC 2 rail for the base model. There is an additional kit that can be added for 3 rail, see www.gaugemasterretail.com/media/downloads/FM_Turntable.pdf. Are you sure your turntable is 3 rail?
To get in touch with collectors, look on marklin-users.net where there are a few collectors from Ireland, or you can try stummiforum.de for a german speaking audience.
@@The3rdRail thank you so much for the reply, I'll check them out 🙏
sorry disregard the details about the turntable, they would apply to model 6152... Apologies...
@@The3rdRail that's no problem. I'll get on the marklin user's site 🙏
Da Die Rampen zu Steil sind ( 4 % ), könnten sie ja ein Video für ihren umbau machen, Rampen Verlängern und auf 3%, setzen, PS: Schöne Züge 🙂
Glad you like the trains, the ramps are 2.9%...
@@The3rdRail Hmmm sieht sehr steil aus
@@kleinerfisch13 Schein trügt 😁
@@The3rdRail 😃
At 16:32 , is this the Marklin 3032 ?
Close, it is a 3031 😉
@@The3rdRail I just purchased the Marklin 2964 Delta train set for one hundred nine dollars. It includes the 3032, cant't wait for its arrival! thanks for the Great train Video!
I swear Marklin also made that turntable for fleischmann, and ended up having to pay fleischmann for the rights to make the turntable again since the tooling now belonged to fleischmann..
really?
@@The3rdRail The former Turntable 7286 was 100% Fleischmann's, despite originally designed by marklin, now their group has developed Roco's 42615 (both 2 rails and 3 rails with a 253 mm bridge) The deal was quite strange, as when Fleischmann quit HO in 2020 the turntable's tooling is once again owned by Marklin.
Ah, you were talking about the 7286, sure, this was indeed a joint Märklin/Fleischmann development, but that is not the same turntable as mine which is older and to my knowledge designed and made by Märklin only for Märklin.
