Cannot imagine that Oliver and Stanley are no more with us. They were such superb comedians that you cannot see their likes anymore. They were God' s gift to humanity to forget its woes and enjoy life. Adieu Ollie, Adieu Stanley!

Performances of Laurel and Hardy should be lessons for all comedians today that how without hurting any body's sentiment and without any vulgarity comedy can be created. They will remain in our hearts for ever.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. So often, you hear years later that people you enjoyed watching couldn't stand each other or there was bad blood between them. Not true with these two icons. They truly loved each other as only best friends can.

Babe died at the age of 65 and Stan died in the year 1965. Cosmic, just like the 1-in-a-million connection between them, on and off the screen.

Curly Howard, also nicknamed Babe, died on Oliver Hardy's 60th birthday 1/18/1952.
Funny that the first half of the 20th century had 3 heavy set celebrities nicknamed Babe, Hardy, Howard, and Ruth.

I used to watch and loved their comedy routine from my country (Iran) and I am now in u. s ,,, I still do.... Whenever I go on the RUclips to watch them,I feel like I am giving them a positive vibes when I smile at their talent... now these days it is sad to say comic need to use foul language to be funny... ...
Generally a good comic routine was until the late 50s and it went down hill since then...

@@seannorman9169 Hi Sean. No relation to Phil. My dad while attending elementary school in L.A., during recess they would sit on a wall a watch Laurel and Hardy film at the studio. It was near the school. I must say Sean that you being from Iran I was curious and impressed that Laurel and Hardy went farther around the globe. We're they subtitled? I've always wanted to be a Sons of the Dessert member. Are you? Again I totally agree with you. The talent then and now...well, I just miss the clean and simplicity of humor.
