Cannot imagine that Oliver and Stanley are no more with us. They were such superb comedians that you cannot see their likes anymore. They were God' s gift to humanity to forget its woes and enjoy life. Adieu Ollie, Adieu Stanley!
Performances of Laurel and Hardy should be lessons for all comedians today that how without hurting any body's sentiment and without any vulgarity comedy can be created. They will remain in our hearts for ever.
Beautiful and heartbreaking. So often, you hear years later that people you enjoyed watching couldn't stand each other or there was bad blood between them. Not true with these two icons. They truly loved each other as only best friends can.
Curly Howard, also nicknamed Babe, died on Oliver Hardy's 60th birthday 1/18/1952. Funny that the first half of the 20th century had 3 heavy set celebrities nicknamed Babe, Hardy, Howard, and Ruth.
Still bringing laughter joy into our lives as I at 70 watch their movies with my young grandchildren- introducing them to my own childhood favourite movies , memories in Delhi India
God bye, great man, you and Stan Laurel have given happiness to all the people of the world. You are forever in the hearts of your lovers and we will not forget.
Ollie had weight problems most of his life and died from a stroke in 1957, and Stan died in 1965, two great comedians that will keep the world laughing for generations to come 😂
John Candy also had weight problems, but died of a heart attack in 1994 at the age of 43. Being a heavy smoker didn't help, plus ➕ his unhealthy eating habits.
"El Gordo Y El Flaco", in any language it still evokes memories of joy & laughter forevermore; may they both rest in peace for a job well done while here.🙏🌐🏞
I think it's because making one laugh is a very tough job, an actor who can do that should be the master of his craft. So he can easily manage us to cry.

Babe died at the age of 65 and Stan died in the year 1965. Cosmic, just like the 1-in-a-million connection between them, on and off the screen.
