Great tip. I have been using the traditional carolina rig. I have had lot of success with it, but it's time consuming to rig up after each snag, not to mention being costly because of the all or nothing proposition on gettimg snagged. This will save a lot of time and increase actual fishing time.
@MartinVSmith6334 I know some people would disagree with me on this, but I've never had an issue not wetting the knots on 40 lb leader, as long as I am not burning it from clinching it down too aggressively. I don't use 50lb+ leaders b/c it's hard for me to tie without completely soaking the leader. For 20-30lb leader, you might have to wet the knot because it could burn right through.
I can see a couple of major issues with that rig at the jetty where you are at. But i am not telling you why, just like you dont explain why your rig has edge over others.
I added some advantages and disadvantages in the video description. I was pretty tired after fishing all morning so the overall quality of this video is poor. Either way, I respect everyone's opinion including yours.

Yup! 30 minutes at home can save you over an hour at the jetty

Definitely give it a shot!

Useful info, THX! Noticed you didn't wet your knots before cinching down. Deliberate or oversight?

So much easier to just tie on a bottom sweeper jig to a 3’ piece of leader.
A bit more expensive but I can’t argue with that!
