The “right seed” is the tiny behavior that you choose. The “right spot” is the sequencing - what it comes after. The “coaxing” part is amping up motivation, which I think has nothing to do with creating habits. In fact, focusing on motivation as the key to habits is exactly wrong.

I used to write down something that I was grateful for each day. It got difficult over time, because it felt like I could only write something I was grateful happened to me or that included me. "Today I'm grateful for" is turning into "Today I celebrate" for the next month, and we'll see how it goes! Especially because my friend got a book deal--not something I can be grateful for in the same sense, but I certainly can celebrate it. 💞
"Working on ourselves is not like an overnight thing. It is having slowed down the past couple of months. Also letting go of a lot of things :
1. Perfectionism
2. Not taking my work and myself as seriously

I love the concept of celebrating our small wins. It's a practice I try to do daily by asking the question from the 3-Minute Journal: "What are 3 great things that happened today?"
Simple but effective in focusing our attention on the positive aspects of each day.

I made a New Year's goal to publish a fiction book. I wanted to publish a different story at the beginning of the year but as I moved further into this year i adjusted my plan and ordered edits for a standalone novel project instead. It's almost done with edits now. I'll publish it in early 2023 and the goal itself might not be done this year but i am very happy that i finally ordered edits for one ofy projects. I will draft a new story during NaNoWriMo this November and hopefully finish that new draft in December. I love the plan I've set for myself and adjusted, and i can't wait to hold my book in my hands in early 2023. ☺️👍

First I have to say that I never, literally never comment on videos, but this video was so inspiring to me and made me cry because you are so kind with your delivery. I love the pacing, it's not too fast where I feel like I'm being talked to by a manager or something that doesn't have time for me, but this video actually inspired me to want to do the things that I'm too afraid to do and have been wanting to do for literal YEARS! I've been living outside of myself and missing out on living in the present. I'm not looking at anything new but actually, getting closer to my goals in general. Can you please do a video of how to become the best self? I have a mental illness and it’s difficult to even set a goal.
I would like to know this too. Sometimes it does help for me to set manageable goals like clean for 5 min only, stuff like that, but yeah I find it’s extremely hard to set bigger goals and I’m just floating by being stuck and depressed. Like I kind of feel like other people are able to have a vision and set goals but I feel like it’s so hard for me
