Sometimes when you watch youtubers that talk about self-care, being more productive, etc, you tend to think like "omg i wish my life would be as organized and productive like this", so it's definitely refreshing to see that the people we look up to also struggle at times. It's more realistic and also makes you feel less guilty hahaha

MY LIFE! I procrastinated for a week then fell into depression. Just recovering and realising that my work is so EASY. I saw myself right there - the whole productive procrastination.
“Productive procrastination”. I like that! 😄 I do that. I procrastinate because I am a perfectionist and if I can’t do something perfectly I don’t do it at all. One of my favorite authors got me to change my perspective though. Elizabeth Gilbert talks about being ok with work that is good enough. Embrace the “good enough”!

I submit assignments or whatever I need to do just 1-2 mins before the deadline ends 🙂 I actually feel paralyzed to start my work before even though I know the anxiety of crossing deadline is not worth it.

Wow I have NEVER felt so relatable to a video. Every time I'm making a video I become the exact same procrastination potato. I just don't have anything holding me accountable to my deadlines so a one week video will end up taking a whole month! Thank you for sharing your procrastination with us Rowena. im so surprised that i go through the same stages as rowena! im a teacher and where i work i need to upload videos every week (we dont do zoom meetings often because the internet in our area isnt the best) i handle grades 1-6 so it’s always overwhelming having to make content for kids that’s informative and at the same time interactive and eye catching... warm hugs to all sweetest potatoes and to u rowena! ❤️ i feel less alone now, saranghae!

Loved this video and that you shot from another person's point of view! I completely agree with the productive procrastination, I am writing my PhD thesis and I constantly have to remind myself of the end goal and to show up everyday (even a little bit) but resistance is real. Especially when you work alone or doing something that need inspiration/creativity I feel it's hard to keep the motivation going, fear of failure can also takes more and more of your mental space. Lots of courage to everyone, you got this ;)
