Paid $6,900 for Honda Accord LX 4cyl with 190,000 miles on it in Aug-2023 in San Diego, CA from a dealer. Prices were crazy hight at that time. Seems like a simple good reliable car.
My grandma just bought a gray 2008 Accord Ex-l with nav and a v6 with 105k miles for $5,500 about 3 weeks ago… Garage kept and a whole stack of service records since new at the local Honda dealer. Detailed quarterly, and a clean title too. One owner. I guess she just got lucky..?
My husband just bought a honda accord 2008 , 134 mile $10,390 with registration taxes and fees. Can you tell me is this a good price for this car . I mean car look very good and run fine too. Everything is so expensive do to inflation .
I once saw a 2009 accord EXL for 3.6k with 45k miles on it I was going to see if my friend wanted it because he was searching for a new car and it would have been a steal but a day later it was gone
@@hermanpeters549that’s good to know! I just bought a 2012 EX-L with 120K miles. I plan on keeping up on the maintenance. With what you’ve said and what I’m projecting, I could still have two thirds life left!
Honda family man just bout one of my daughters another Honda she had a civic said she wanted another Honda found accord for 1500 09 270,000 miles great steal rides like a caddy.
I aint knockin da hustle but..........at 258k miles, I would have to say that the fairest price would be around $3500, and personally I feel that's being pretty generous to the seller. I myself have a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L that I purchased for $6500 at 74k miles so how can that car go for $5k? Yes, Honda's are long lasting and durable and my car runs just as good as when I first bought it and I'm now at 130k miles!! And for me to get to 250k miles, I wont get there for about another 10yrs. Now don't get me wrong, Honda Accords are incredible cars that are very durable and long lasting but ANY car at that high mileage, once you hit 300k, at that point, your car can potentially turn into a money pit because you're going to have to put money into it to maintain it. So let's do the math here, would you pay $5000 for a car that will probably run for a good 50k miles until you have to pour serious money into it to keep it up?
How did you find a 2008 Accord (highest trim, 4cylinder) with only 74k on it for $6500.00? That's absolutely impossible. Right now, KBB has that car at roughly $8000.00 (private seller), I'm calling bullshit. And by the way, the car in this vid still prices out at about $6300.00 from a dealer, so you are way off with your $3500.00 estimate. I'm looking at a 2009 Accord tomorrow for $6500.00, but it's got 145K on it, and KBB has it right at that number.
I just bought a 2008 Accord EX 3.5 6 cylinder today with 218,000 miles on it. He wanted $5,500 for it but excepted my first offer of $4,800. Kbb has the value of my new car between $4,147 - $5,500
I drive an 09 Accord. When I got the car it had 203k miles on it and just yesterday I hit 227k. It shakes going over 65 mph but other than that she’s great!!
U can buy a front end suspension kit on Amazon and replace it yourself with some creativity And jack stands. Then an alignment and maybe balance wheels if needed. Now my 06 accord 2.4L hums away smooth AF at 75mph with 160k miles. It's a 5 speed too, love it
I bought my 2011 Honda accord Se edition for $5000 with 150,000 miles at a used car dealer in 2020 and it’s the best car I ever had and has 220,000 miles now. I think they made a mistake since the 2011 was the first year for se
That's unbelievable. I am looking at buying a 2011 v6 accord here in New Zealand. 80,000 miles leather, brand new rotors and pads front and back, new tyres and wheel alignment for that exact price. And the 2011 is a much better year. Supposedly the 2008 is supposed to be the worst year. It clearly isn't.
So I have a question do you think it’s ok to buy an 8th gen accord that has close to or at least 200k miles on it? Because I’m thinking of buying this gen and I’m wondering if It’s safe to even buy it with that many miles
Looking at one with a lot of side rust for 1500 so I would say at best 2500 nothing more than that unless it's one owner and meticulously kept them maybe more
Personally with this kind of mileage it’s only worth what someone’s whiling to pay for it. You’re rolling the dice with this kind of mileage even on a well made Honda or Toyota
258000 with the honda cylinder deactivation (vcm) system? I guess dealers don't talk about that. What about timing belt changes in that the 3.5 is an interference engine? These are great cars but they have some demons that need to be addressed.
Someone is selling me a 2010 accord with 226,000 miles it does have front damage but he changed the bumper it's not leather interior and also the hood doesn't close all the way. Any opinions I'm in WI
Are there any leaks or any other issues with your Accord on this mileage? I have 190K miles and wonder how long can it last before I need to get rid of it. Thanks

This is funny. I have an 08 ex-l i4 and I've been thinking about this. The thing is though. Even if it went up to 15k, I wouldn't sell. The changing value of used cars only matters to you if you're buying cars. For an ordinary person, you can't just pay people to sell their car, which is essentially what it is.

First try checking your tires for wear or deterioration, or possibly balance weights, to address the shaking.

The only reason they say it is because of the oil burning in the engine and the “uncomfortable” seats

It's very strange why the side mirrors are not the beautiful led ones and it's and ex-L
