It's easier if you just want to update the bios on a bootable pc like yours. All you have to do is follow the first few steps of downloading the bios file and copying it on to your usb. Next, plug the USB in and turn on your pc and go into bios usually by pressing F2 key or Del key on the keyboard. I going to get this motherboard with ryzen 5 5600x but the question I have is when I’m done building my pc will I have to do a bios flashback like you did in this video to get a new version of bios
You have to do the update with flashback method if you bought an old version of this model. If you bought your motherboard recently then there are high chances that it already supports your new ryzen 5600 cpu. Just look for a sticker on a box which should say "Ryzen 5000 Series Ready " or you can ask your retailer if it's supports your new cpu out of the box. TY !!! Have a sub !
Do I need a second PC or a laptop to download the Bios Update?
That depends. If you already have a computer with zen 2 cpu then you can just use that to update its build through USB by going into bios at boot start up.
@@un-box-it7807 And what do I do if I don’t have a PC yet?
@@zokriexd4716 so all you have right now is a cpu and motherboard and no access to other pc or laptop? If thats the case then I suggest you ask one of your friends or someone you know to make a usb for you or you do it on their pc or laptop.
@@un-box-it7807 Ok thanks for your help.
So how long did it take to finish updating ?
It took 4 minutes for mine to finish updating.
still wont boot.. D7 error
D7 error is mostly about input devices like a mouse or a keyboard. What devices are connected when you try to update?
@@un-box-it7807 Hi Thank's for getting back to me.this is a high end build, the keyboard and mouse were in when flashing the bios.the post error is saying D7, and the display look's like my ssd.thank's.
@@geo6519 sorry for getting back to you so late, my notifications were off. Hopefully you probably have figured it out by now, but try without any peripherals like mouse or keyboard attached and it should work.
@@un-box-it7807 All good, pal.reinstalled windows 10 (clean version) and it's full steam ahead.much love for the help. :)
Thank You :D
Can you do it with the CPU installed?
From what I know you can do it with the cpu installed but its not recommended to do so as you are just adding an extra possibility of things going wrong.
@@un-box-it7807 I was finally able to get back into the BIOS and did it from there, worked perfectly. Thanks for the video!
Thanks sir
You're welcome.
It don't wooooooooork the light isn't blinking
Are you doing it with everything installed?if so try it without anything installed like shown in the video. If that does not work, try extracting the bios file directly to usb and run the renamer on the USB. That method helped someone with the same issue.
@@un-box-it7807 aight i'm gonna try that
