@@Jeffreviews4u Right! I would too haha, but it happens. I also forgot to mention the money saved by this unit per.month vs a standard window A/C is a nice save that shouldn't be over looked. 👍
Just purchased this and I definitely don't think it's worth the money. Mine also wobbles alot and with a small toddler I'm just waiting for it to fall over. My base is snapped in correctly so that's not the problem. It also leaks a ton of water from bottom I can not find where it's leaking out from but very frustrating. Besides these issues it does cool down the room and I like how quiet it is.
It should be noted that the current version, the Tower+, now includes a plastic bottle where you can put water in it and freeze it and insert it into holder on the water tank. This gives you very chilled water without needing to use ice cubes, and that could make the unit run even cooler.
@@Jeffreviews4u I'm running it right now as I type this. Unlike the smaller Arctic Air units, the fan (even at low speed) blows quite strongly and if you fill and use the enclosed water bottle (frozen in freezer) and soak the cooling element and then freeze that too, the air coming out is actually *VERY* cold indeed. Yes, there are better evaporative coolers, but then they are quite bulky to use and you end up having to fill and freeze 3-4 supplied plastic bottles, not to mention filling up an 1.4 gallon water tank!

You need less humidity. That looks like it works really well. The oscillating feature is the best, as it’s essentially a “spot” cooler. I move to different position in my van and have to constantly move my arctic air pure chill 2.0. I’ll definitely look into this device. Thanks for the info.
Have purchased two different units, neither worked they would not pump water. I spoke to a salesperson and they stated that virtually all of the units sold were returned both the tower and the smaller units. Taking it back for a refund.
I thought this was going to be a cheesy bias paid review. Luckily I was wrong and I'm glad I stayed to watch the entire video this really helped me out. ;)
I appreciate your video and explaining how to use. Mine does wobble, but it’s never fallen over or anything. It didn’t put out real cold air, the fan doesn’t seem to blow out very far, I’m using in my garage and plan to set it up and use all day tomorrow while I work, so I’ll be able to see how cool it makes the garage.
8:12 it works like Jeff says, it cools my garage to a good 73 degrees which is comfortable to work in. I don’t use the rotation, I just keep it blowing on me where I’m working. I'm so glad you showed the inside, it helped me know if the blue hose in the back is supposed to go inside the water holder or outside (when I opened it, it was originally outside, but the water holder wouldn't close all the way so I was a little confused)
It's an evaporative cooler by any other fancy name is still an evaporative cooler. They are usually cheap, have no condenser and work by blowing air over a wet screen. I think the pumping noise that you're hearing is that it's filtering itself and I don't think you should worry about the wobbliness sometimes when things are made out of plastic it happens like that I don't think that's an issue at all as long as it's working and it's functional and is blowing out cool air then you're good to go.

Couldn't find anything to remedy the situation on the manual or the website. And I also know that the unit will not turn on if the grill cover is not on.
Hey Jeff, I recently brought the Artic Air Pure Chill that you reviewed. (Thanks for that vid. btw cause I hate reading directions) I found that if you put fan in front of that bad boy it actually cools down the room because it pulls that cold air further. I didn't have a fancy thermometer like you, but my dogs seemed to love it a lot more than just the fan by itself. An oscillating fan, and the tiny cooler I feel is much more affordable. Probably something you could test out. (If you won't)
what about water squirting while the unit is on ; ok now im seeing a mist control so I guess i answered my question again. i may have a newer model with mist control. ?
I hope you read and reply to my message but I'm not sure if you do a lot of that. I have watched 2 Arctic Air reviews that you done now and I love how you straight up said the $40 product wasn't worth it. Is this $100 air cooler actually worth it? Let's break it down to brass tacks. I'm in Oklahoma so it is more humid here and it makes me wonder if it's actually worth it. If you reply, thank you in advance.
I have a pc in my room and it warms up my room. You think this can help cool the room down? Does placement matter too? Cuz I don't want it next to my pc due to fear of leakage
All right so I just bought one of these and I found this very helpful but let me ask you this, did yours leak at all and as your one little blue hose just dangling at the top? I have a short one that’s about 3 inches just dangling at the top. I also noticed my water is very cloudy after just a few days so I literally have to take the whole tower to the sink to dump it and wash it?
So just to clarify, I was showing you two different temperatures. The temperature in front of the fan and the temperature on top of the fan. I hope this clarifies. Thanks for stopping by and commenting
Thanks for the review. So this is helpful if you are 5 feet away, but if you wanted to cool a room, even a small one, would not be so helpful? And it's unstable. And is dumping the water out messy or much of a chore? How large is the filter. You say it fit sin your freezer but my freezer is very small, as is everything here. Thanks. You said any fan will cool couple degrees but thats not true, a regular fan would actually make the air hotter since its converting electricity to heat in the motor.
ya due to the humidity increase of these fans they really should only sell them to dessert/ low humidity area. Sometimes the muggy feeling is worse then the heat.
Hi, Jeff- Great review and video. Just wondering if you can order extra filters, ( sorry if I missed that on the video)? So you can keep one frozen for when the other one thaws!
I really love my small artic airs there good especially at night. They have a white noise and keep it cool. You just have to replace the ice water after it evaporates. It’s great as a one room thing as an addition to your central air. So It seems like the tower is the same but bigger version.
It spits water out everywhere and minimal cooling unless you already have AC. For anyone trying to use this without AC; good luck. Piece of garbage lol
@@courtneykelly5964 because if you keep your central air pretty regulated and it gets hotter than normal its good to have like in an office or your room.
I wonder if you put small blocks of ice in the ice water if the cold last longer And I'm curious if the temp would change more if you turned oscillate on
I used a huge chunk of Ice on the bottom with cold water. I like this little machine. Doesn't replace an a/c but feels good in a small room right in front of you!
I’ve seen Family Force 5 live sooo many times. Have one of there Wobble hats with all their autographs hahaha. Never met anybody else that knew them so that’s why I’m commenting 🤷🏼♀️ cool too find someone else bring them up for once!
So it is possible to operate this without the filter? or without water? The water pump noise is driving me nuts, I think I could use it as a dry fan. (It's really humid where I am so the water is defeating its purpose) Sad face.
I saw this thing at walmary for the 99 pricepoint and since the central air in the house im renting is down at the moment, running it now i do feel cooler than a standard fan with windows closed on an 80+ degree day. Doesnt seem like something id rely heavily on, but good for a pinch.
Have you ever done a review for a swamp cooler I was asking because that's the next thing to the Arctic Air tower. That would function and cool better than the other one's you have tested so far.
I got an Arctic king 5,000 BTU window ac for $40 and it will blow this thing out of the water lol. Although the power usage will be higher but its wayy worth it for the nice cool breeze an actual air conditioner puts out.
I can't find where to buy a replacement filter for this. I would like to alternate filters, while putting one in the freezer. I guess I could try putting the ice in the reservoir.
it is slighly cooling & got both sections of bottom bace assembled but can't get the support base assembled but can't get the base attached to the tower
I just got 9!3 and it doesn't retain any water ..when the water starts to enter the filter it just gets backed up and starts overflowing all over the floor.
Got one of those towers and when it runs on high speed the fan blows the water off the filter and on to the floor making a mess. Doesn't cool all that great either. Once the ice water warms up it's unless. Sorry I bought it!
I actually bought the Arctic Air Tower yesterday, i found it at Home Depot for just $80. I , my daughter & our Main Coon just absolutely love it!! ♥️ 😊😊♥️ It was really really worth the investment.
Sorry for those whom don't know what a Main Coon is, they are 1 of the biggest house cat's around & they do have lots of beautiful long & thick hair. So now you know why our Car love's it so much! 😊😊♥️
I wanted let you the water was weak out I had to my tiles fixed you cannot empty the water easy they make to get the water out turn it over to get water out you say that maybe they would fix that issue
One of the worst products I’ve bought. 1: The water pump is pumping too much water for the filter to keep up with, causing flooding in the filter and then a spill over onto the floor. 2: The tank was damaged and leaking from a small hole in the bottom of the tank, causing pooling around the base and then spilling out over onto the floor. I’ve only had it for about 30 mins after buying it from Home Depot and it barley functions now, 100 dollars burned.
Web doesn’t show where I can purchase a additional filter for the Arctic Air Towel no one answering the phone I see filters on Amazon not sure which one is compatiable.
I was not impressed! I have added ice and froze the filter. I'm going to buy an AC unit for my apt. Did not feel cool air. Imma give it !more time. My cat likes it.
I'm with you there. We just got ours and we do have a window air conditioner, but our rental, the outlet no longer works. But this Arctic Air Tower isn't permanent and there's too much condensation. They should install something to prevent this condensation, or recycle it
I'm hoping an HVAC professional sees, but I live in Houston, Texas. A particularly humid place already. My HOA does not allow us to have window units so I resort to portable AC, but a portable AC is pretty pricey. I really just want to place this in my gaming room where I have a lot of electronics and I won't be running it for hours at a time. Could this be a good alternative to a portable AC or should I just avoid this. I'm worried about rust but I'm not sure if that's a thing with these types of units.
@jeffreviews4u My original post/question for you was too long, so I’m breaking it into multiple parts. I apologize in advance, but you definitely seem like the perfect person to ask, so PLEASE be patient with me🤗🤗🤗🤗
Mine took a year to quit oscillating. It quit circulating water months ago. Still using it as a stationary fan. Thank heaven my a/c got fixed, which is why I bought it in the first place.
in the water reservoir the tube with the blue tip is near the top of the water container- shouldnt the tip be lower to where its in the water level ? i just noticed the blue tube lowers as the door is shut but does not appear to lower to near the bottom
there are two blue tubes in the reservoir, one is connected to the pump at the bottom of the reservoir, that takes water to the top of the filter. The other hangs freely (i think this is the one you are seeing) returns water to the reservoir from the bottom of the filter. As long as that tube is pretty much hanging downward so water can drain out of it, it shouldn't matter much, I hope you this helps you or someone!
Three 300 watt solar panels ($50/ea. + shipping), an inverter and battery and you'll have free electricity for a 500 watt window air conditioner for 10 - 20 years+

So it is possible to operate this without the filter? or without water? The water pump noise is driving me nuts, I think I could use it as a dry fan. (It's really humid where I am so the water is defeating its purpose) Sad face.
yes, I do run it without adding water...I prefer it that way. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I saw this thing at walmary for the 99 pricepoint and since the central air in the house im renting is down at the moment, running it now i do feel cooler than a standard fan with windows closed on an 80+ degree day.
Doesnt seem like something id rely heavily on, but good for a pinch.
I agree... not as an AC replacement but better than a fan. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I WANT TO ADD ICE AGAIN, SO DO I NEED TO TIP THE TOWER OVER❓
ANY HAZZARDS DOING THAT OR JUST LEAVE OLD WATER UNTIL.....WHAT ~
THX 🙋♀️🐾💜🐾
I got this at a liquidation store for 8 dollars. I also have the same small blue fan you have behind you.
Have you ever done a review for a swamp cooler I was asking because that's the next thing to the Arctic Air tower. That would function and cool better than the other one's you have tested so far.
That is a swamp cooler
Do you need to put the filter in the freezer and place cold water in the water holder.
You do not need to, that's just how you get the best chance of cooling. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Got one of those towers and when it runs on high speed the fan blows the water off the filter and on to the floor making a mess. Doesn't cool all that great either. Once the ice water warms up it's unless. Sorry I bought it!
Can u reccomend a good mop to clean the water off the floor when my cat knocks the tower over
That’s hilarious!
I bought this cooler and the water spits out from the front really bad.l have to put towels in front.empties water in a couple of hours
The questions is . how is the temperature outside?
I actually bought the Arctic Air Tower yesterday, i found it at Home Depot for just $80. I , my daughter & our Main Coon just absolutely love it!! ♥️ 😊😊♥️
It was really really worth the investment.
Sorry for those whom don't know what a Main Coon is, they are 1 of the biggest house cat's around & they do have lots of beautiful long & thick hair. So now you know why our Car love's it so much! 😊😊♥️
Cat
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Lol.
How does one empty the unused water out of this cooler?
I turned my fan over in the sink to clean it out...it should have had a drain to make the Job easier. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
So to dump the water u have to pickup the whole tower too?
Thank you.
You are most welcome! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Thank you!
I wanted let you the water was weak out I had to my tiles fixed you cannot empty the water easy they make to get the water out turn it over to get water out you say that maybe they would fix that issue
Mine wobbled because I didn't latched the bottom to the tower correctly..should hear a click when you turn the base
Why does mine leak so much water at the bottom.? I did evrything right!
Hopefully you still have your receipt so you can return or exchange it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
@@Jeffreviews4u I thankfully do!

Thanks for sharing your experience with this fan! An air conditioner will definitely do a better job of cooling the room.
I'm with you there. We just got ours and we do have a window air conditioner, but our rental, the outlet no longer works. But this Arctic Air Tower isn't permanent and there's too much condensation. They should install something to prevent this condensation, or recycle it
My tower won't even stay turned on . I hit power button it turn on for2/ secsl and then just shuts off . Won't stay on ..
???????????I pit ice water bottle in it works great but????? Filters are where????????????? Can't find one
Does this actually cool a whole room or just a small area?
In my experience just a small area. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
It cools you down that’s about it
Why is mine spewing water everywhere from the front?!
@jeffreviews4u My original post/question for you was too long, so I’m breaking it into multiple parts. I apologize in advance, but you definitely seem like the perfect person to ask, so PLEASE be patient with me🤗🤗🤗🤗
very helpful
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I want to test in real heat temperatures like in Houston Texas, where the humidity 37 and heat temps like 91 to 99. Help
Jeff has "arctic hair" 😁
Great review bro
Just a quick look at the comments seems to me this is not a good product. Finland is also too hot right now and soon we are like British Columbia :(
Love the narrator voice! I bet you get asked to say things alot. Like, in a world or E A Sports its in the game.
One of the most asked questions on a fan is how loud or quite it's. He talks over the fan the whole time and doesn't mention anything about it.
it's pretty quiet, i can hear it
Good video LOUSY PRODUCT!
I am on my second ArticAirTower… I’m having problems with the oscillating… it stopped oscillating within the first couple days
Mine took a year to quit oscillating. It quit circulating water months ago. Still using it as a stationary fan. Thank heaven my a/c got fixed, which is why I bought it in the first place.
Love the little helmet of the bills...... Go Bills.
Oh Yeah, GO BILLS!
in the water reservoir the tube with the blue tip is near the top of the water container- shouldnt the tip be lower to where its in the water level ? i just noticed the blue tube lowers as the door is shut but does not appear to lower to near the bottom
there are two blue tubes in the reservoir, one is connected to the pump at the bottom of the reservoir, that takes water to the top of the filter. The other hangs freely (i think this is the one you are seeing) returns water to the reservoir from the bottom of the filter. As long as that tube is pretty much hanging downward so water can drain out of it, it shouldn't matter much, I hope you this helps you or someone!
I just checked this item out. So no swamp cooler for me in the south. Too humid!
Three 300 watt solar panels ($50/ea. + shipping), an inverter and battery and you'll have free electricity for a 500 watt window air conditioner for 10 - 20 years+
I live where humidity is high so lucky I saw this and just bought a regular fan!!!
Yeah, these aren't intended for areas with high humidity. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Hi I got one of those arctic air towers and mine is making a clicking noise is that normal
The website they give does not exist.
