Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
That bottom drawer is a freaking nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It won't go in correctly and you wind up spilling water everywhere!!!!!!! Can someone please address the blue hoses?????!!!!! Apparently it's supposed to have two, mine only has one and it's not long enough, it's so dang hot in our house right now, brand new AC is out and the heat is unbearable in Florida at 4:30 am.... I'm with you my friend, thank you for letting me know I'm not alone with this nightmare.
To fix the water spill, I'd drilled four holes on top and bottom of the filter so water wont overflow. And it works. No more water spilling out of the fan tower.
@@noelleli4187drill four holes using 2/16 bits on top of the filter casing where the water flows . Then drill another 4 holes at the bottom of the filter casing to drain the water back to reservoir. This will solved the spilling of water from the fan.
We are returning ours! I used it yesterday and it pulls water from the bottom container every minute and 1/2. Not giving the filter enough time to soak up the remaining water from the small container at the top above the filter, which causes it to overflow and spew out water. I put two towels down and they were soaked after 4 hours of using the Artic Air tower. It spews out A LOT of water and after 4 hours I already had to refill the bottom container. So it doesn’t last 12 hours like it says. It’s a defect! If the unit waited 5 minutes in between pulling water giving the filter enough time to absorb the water that holds at the top then it wouldn’t spew water. This product has potential. It just needs to be modified.
Thats horrible . Its a bad design none of the evaporative coolers I reviewed have the pump working 24 hours they all have button where u can turn it on and off. This fan just has too many issues there was 0 quality control at the factories where they made these. Mine has huge issues with closing and opening of bottom tank and more I use it the worse it gets I just gave up on it .
The opening and closing of water tank is one issue I’m experiencing alone . Doesn’t seem damaged in any way though . From comments I’m getting here lot of people complaining about leaking and spitting of water from the front . I rarely leave bad reviews but had to be honest about it .
amzn.to/3NbcuR3 here is link to it it’s one I’m using every day . It’s not ac though . It won’t lower temp of your room it will give you 5-6 degrees lower temperature of air that’s pushing out of it .
how many liters of water can fit in the tnk ?? i do not see that importan information on the box... i see other similar and said 5 liters but this brand do not give information ,, Do you know how many liters??
Ok, i think ive figured out a fix. I put a small hole in the hose that runs from the pump. It lets water escape inside the tank and doesnt push as much into the reservoir up top. This really shouldnt be something that needs to be done but its no longer spraying water across the room. Start small, like pin holes cause you only have one shot. Too big and it wont put water in the reservoir at all. Good luck.
That’s a decent fix hopefully it lasts . It just seems like they haven’t put much thought into design and build of this fan And feels like they haven’t even tested it properly . Biggest issue I’m having is with the water tank it just won’t close all the way and it’s pretty hard to open and close it
mine leaks the whole tank I'm trying to figure out why, there seems to be a hole in the back bottom middle that is obviously made to let out water, but why just leak it onto the standing surface?
Just a bad design I try to figure out how to drain water I thought it was that rubber plug at back of the unit but that thing has no purpose it’s such a bad design . Anyways I read in manual u supposed to tip it to drain the water . Not sure what hole u talking about I don’t see that one .
This thing sucks. Don't waste your money. I literally just bought it and it keeps spitting out water from the front. This is a common problem apparently Save your time and money and don't buy this.
Yes it will work without water but I recommend you just buy regular tower fan you can find it for half the price and probably better quality and with remote also .
@@MiloB😂 Thank you for your review. I bought one a few days ago, so far so good. Different model than yours. Hopefully it will continue to work...too old, 85+ years, to try fix things😅.
I bought my wife one for her she whatever area. She just asked for a $30 fan. She complained about that fact. I told her I bought her a $30 fan and $70 worth of water everywhere.😂😂😂 But seriously, it feels great. It’s not an air conditioner. If you don’t like the wet bulb feature, just turn it off. It’s a hundred bucks. Did I mention it’s not an air conditioner? It probably does clean the air a little, simply because it introduces the dust to a misting water vapor. Which would make it heavier and just fall to the floor. Right along with the rest of the water that everyone is complaining about. Takes about 6 solo cups of water with the ice pack in the tank, to fill. Won’t last all night on full blast. Have fun with it.
Did you mention it's 100 bucks? Yeah you did. Maybe leave that out if you want people to buy this garbage product Why would I pay 100 for a tower fan when I can pay 200 for a AC?
@@cat6926 cause I don’t care whether you buy one or not. It doesn’t put anything in my pockets. I just wonder how much that ac whatever is going to cost you to use, vs a fan. Then again, I really don’t.
So I purchased 2 and just got my son to bring 1 out of the basement wet filter freezer move forward to filling adding frozen filters and ice plug in and it won’t work ??!!! Frustrating worked the day I packed it away! And I always hated the base to this model. This item is getting 2 thumbs down not even a yr old Will check the other and update !

You can’t take the bottom water reservoir out to clean it. So that gets real gross. If you try to wash it, the product breaks. Don’t buy it
There's no way you're going to cool a house with only one of these the reason is cuz I tried it myself with the chill 2.0 you need to use your strength by numbers in order to bring the temperature down in the house
look like the filter of that item is NOT really good... i have evaporative cooler and are big and has a honey comb filter .. i think is best filter that the one use in the Arctic Air Tower.. but i never see working a Arctic Air Tower
Worst "filter" I've ever seen. It's just a POS design from start to finish. You can't use those filter strips the way they made them. It needs to have an actual full-size rectangle pad to soak water, not some ignorant blue foam strips turned sideways that leave huge open gaps between them. The water just runs down the plastic and sprays all over the floor leaving a big puddle in just minutes. On a laminate wood floor, you end with with permanent damage.
For just once I wish someone can show just how to set it up and forget all the other talk about how your box was damaged etc that has nothing to do with how to set it up. Sorry but my time was so limited and had to pass. My AC went out and I was frying. Lol
There is nothing to set up just add water and turn it on . This or any other evaporative cooler won’t help you without ac if temps outside is over 95 and sunny

We bought three; two are now unusable because of leaking at the bottom; probably from plastic breakage and our last is spewing mess. x.x Def. Wont be buying artic air products again.
That’s frustrating and sad but I could tell moment I received mine it was low quality and not build good . Tank was big issue for me I can’t even close it properly . Mine didn’t leak yet but it did spit water from front
