IcyBreeze is the world’s first personal, portable air conditioner and cooler designed to keep you and your drinks cool anywhere life takes you. The better question is where wouldn't you use it? The IcyBreeze is perfect for campers, boaters, recreational sports, family sports, pilots, surveillance professionals, and tailgaters. Discover more great uses for a personal portable air conditioner.

Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I have the pro version and love it. Using an infrared thermometer to measure the air temperature is very inaccurate in this case. I measured mine with a high precision probe thermometer in the outlet and got a temperature drop of 20 degrees below room temperature. That is about the same as a standard air conditioner drop.

The corded remote switch is only to turn the unit off/on from a distance. Whatever the speed selector switch was set at previously will be the current speed when using the remote switch. Same with the Platinum, but the Platinum needs to be off when plugging in the remote switch so the circuit knows the USB port is being used as an off/on instead of a charging port.

Yet another video of not a bad thing to say about the icy breeze. I will be making a real review of the icy breeze from the perspective of a Florida resident middle of summer 92 to 97 degrees, real feel of 108 to 115, humidity 80 to 90%, dew point never below 75-78, oppressive.
Mid May till sometimes not January before it cools down.
The icy breeze is a 30 Gallon cooler.
You will see reviewers say it holds your drinks. This is true BUT be aware that the cooler will cool the drinks before it cools the air inside the cooler and the drinks take away from the ice volume.
What. Nobody has mentioned is, if you put a sub sandwich in the cooker for example, you are going to be smelling the food as it blows onto you. Obviously you wont have a food fragrance with just ice.
Next the cooker is small as I have mentioned before it is only 30 gallons.
The extension hoses and splitter for two vents puts this tiny cooler up over 500 dollars.
You are going to need to get creative with the hoses and how to attach them to blow as they will not stand on their own. They remind me of a shop vac hose but more brittle feeling.
Here in Central Florida the temp blows out at 52 degrees in a AC colled house battling the summer heat that is 80 degrees running 24/7 not in the 40s.
It is around 50 lbs loaded with ice have someone to help you lift it in an out of the car/truck.
The handle if you are tall over 6 ft… will not do. You will need to get creative and make an extender. In my case said extender is a rope with a half hitch knot.
Lets get some honest reviews out here for people.
Tho the icy breeze does work it does require a lot of ice and multiple batteries over the day or night at 100 dollars a battery and charger.
I could not bring it to Disney World it would be to large to be permitted. Tho their own parade floats I hear use these units.
Might be a good option for the beach or outdoor concert.
Its to cool you off not a hot room.
I have used my unit in the truck so I did not have to run the truck AC saving gas and it did pretty good.
With little ice the unit blew decently cold air.
Frozen gallons of ice last longer, about 6 gallons whacked with a convincer into smaller pieces, tho cubes blow colder.

The singular innovation they can claim is the cordless rechargeable nature of the unit compared to a typical 110v swamp cooler. You can find kits online to turn any big cooler into an "air conditioner" (😅) like this, but corded. A little creativity and a reused lithium battery powered tool and you too can make one.

One thing to help people save money on buying bags and bags of Ice. Get a large capacity ice maker. Something that makes 30 plus pounds of ice a day. If you use icybreeze daily during the summer, you won't have to spend 6 bucks a day on bagged ice.

Good idea and good design. Main issue I see is right off is that black top and black hose; for something intended to be used outside in the sun and heat, that can't be helping with thermal efficiency aka how long your ice lasts. Also for the financially impaired amongst us these can be built a lot cheaper than they can be bought. What are you looking at these days for one of these, $500ish after tax and shipping with battery? You can build one of your own in maybe 2-3 hours without much if any DYI background for maybe $200; even less if you already have an existing cooler to modify. Won't look as pretty or have all the bells and whistles but should still do the job of cooling just great. It'd be one thing if these were getting stellar reviews but they're not even sold on Amazon any more and it looks like they only averaged about a three star rating when they did.

Looking forward to the video on the accessories. Icybreeze website has only a little bit on confusing info. What length is the 12V DC power cord? Does the Super 12V charger come with the cord to plug it in to the "cig lighter" 12v receptacle? Show the super charger, so we know how it "attaches" to the battery. When I order a battery from Icybreeze, does it come with a charger? Can you leave the battery on the cooler while you use the DC charger? (I've emailed and called the co., but they haven't replied for 2 days.) Your feature list and video angles are good, better than their website, your video has more of the many "how to use" questions than the other video reviews, but I have questions about daily how features affect function, what you've learned in actually using it on a road trip! (maybe I'll have to get one and make my own daily use on the road video…). Thanks! P.S. THANK YOU for NOT showing us how to unpack a box, duh!

That is a bad design in my opinion. It DOES draw air into the cooler, bringing room temperature air into the cooler. I would think that is about the same as leaving the cooler door open. I had one and returned it.

    • @daniels9025
      @daniels9025 3 года назад

@@erleysmiff5151 To me that would be the perfect design. This is the way a normal AC works. If you used it in a tint or even a small room/Cabin you would want that rooms "air" to Cycle through the cooler over and over again to achieve the lowest temperature possible. And ice is cheap to make you can even freeze water bottles or anything so, replacing Ice isn't that big of a deal even if you have to ever 4-6 hours. I'd like to add i don't own this i just saw it on searching for 12V AC's and Reviews.. i think its a neat design with the heat exchange. Right, the platinum with the pump off turns the cooler into a swamp cooler, exactly what they claim it's not. But that is what it really is, a swamp cooler with an upgrade (stage 2). Stage 1 is the swamp cooler, stage 2 is the heat exchanger that should remove a lot of the moisture, and in already humid areas return drier air than what entered the cooler, introduced in stage 1 and further cool the air.

Has anyone tested the theory to put table salt in a plastic bottle, say 23 % of the total volume, then water, freeze it and place in cooler. Supposedly the bottles with the frozen salt water help to extend the life of your ice? and do you know how long the 12V power cord is? I still can't find that answer on their site.

Hi Tom, I'm not sure how the ICYBREEZE would cause mold or mildew because the air is completely dry. I can assure you it's never caused mold or mildew with the ones I've used, I think you might have gotten some bad information. Anyways if you are looking to cool a room these don't put out that much cold air to take the place of ain HVAC unit or even a window unit. Now could you use it to have cold air blowing on you directly, but it's not going to cool anything but maybe a really tiny bathroom. This is definitely not an HVAC replacement. If the cooler lid is airtight and properly sealed, the cooling fan static back pressure will drastically cut the fan air volume/ velocity output. I don’t see any vents for the incoming air, so it is safe to assume that the cooler lid is not tightly sealed...?

The cooler lid is not completely airtight but it still fits tight enough where it's not going to come open on ya. But the fan blows air really hard, I can't believe it's able to blow so hard but it does. Plus this cooler has a lifetime warranty so that's pretty amazing. I figured I have a good 15 to 20 yrs left so I'm gonna get my money's worth. When I saw the cooler the 1st time I was sceptical about it until I used it. My family and I go to the local short track. We race in the late model class. We have a 28ft trailer and it gets 90+ degrees in the trailer in summer. Do you think 2 of those would keep the trailer cool? I did the math and the trailer is 8'x8'x28'. That is not very much square feet and I may need to get those clear walk through things for the door opening on the trailer. I have price and ac for the trailer and $700 seems to be the normal price for an ac unit. We are buying something because once we get done racing and come back home I am drained totally! The heat just takes all the energy out of me. Also, we need to keep our driver cool so he can focus better once he is in the race car. Hi Michael, I know you are looking for a definite answer to your question but to be honest I'm not sure. I know it gets alot hotter inside of a trailer then it gets inside a room in a house because you don't have any insulation or an attic to help get rid of some of that heat, so it's really hard to say to be honest with you. I know the IcyBreeze breeze blows out some really cold air with a good amount of force. You might have to call IcyBreeze and ask them because I don't have a garage to test things anymore.

The icy breeze website says that it is designed to be a personal cooler. From their FAQ page:
While the IcyBreeze is perfect for breaking the heat for the person it is aimed at or a small, insulated area, it will struggle to cool a large open space or a space with lots of direct sunlight.
I tried to cool a small around, and found that it didn't cool it much. When I tried to return it, I found that once used, you will be charged a 25% restocking fee and also you have to pay for return shipping.

The case is the same size, but our batteries are a custom designed 12v made specifically for our application. Lithium batteries have a control board built inside to monitor state of the batteries to make sure everything stays at safe levels. Power tool batteries are designed for quick bursts of high torque energy, where our unit uses a low draw over an extended period. Using a 20v battery pack will cause premature wear on that battery pack, on the IcyBreeze, and could potentially leave that battery in an unsafe state where it could combust.
