    I already understood! This is Inav version 6.1.0. That's why the artificial horizon was so good!

    Still got three brand new in the box PNP.all came with Co-pilot and fpv camera. Paid £70 each for them over a year and half ago. I think its about time i got one in the air.

      Certainly worthwhile getting more than 1 kit as spares are pretty hard to come by

    Love all Talon planes. Will be exciting to see how many amps it draws on cruising. Right now it is hungry for batteries. My Minitalon cruise around 4 amps and nano Talon 2 - 3 amps. Great video, thanks

      It still has some tuning for sure, i am thinking of using a lighter battery for it something around a 7000mah li ion and see how it goes. It also seems to pull to the right on takeoff in the few launches i have given it, at first i thought it was a balance issue but resolving that it still veers to the right on takeoff. It could be at time poor throw not helping it sometimes but i have tried to correct that and it still does it after the throw just like in this video.

    Nice build! I just ordered mine from Banggood on a flash deal for $66.99...so stoked!

      Awesome hope that you enjoy it. I would recommend getting a second for spares though.

    My understanding was that di-pole antennas shoup be mounted with the active side up and the ground side down - so for the Vee shaped ones, like a fin -

      I think you are right I was unaware about that. Somebody else mentioned that as well. Probably explains the less than average video reception I was getting.

    The unassembled ZOHD Talon GT Rebel 1m Wingspan V-Tail seems to retail for $60.. but that doesn't seem to include any of the electronics, correct? You still have to buy the servos, Radio, Flight and Electronic Speed Controllers? And I assume an FC for a drone won't work on this?
    Do you recommend any Ready-To-Fly plane that has everything included?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  Год назад

      No this kit has no electronics, I believe you could get this as bind and fly for a bit more $$$ though I’m not too sure if they produce it anymore. Pretty certain the Talon GT never came out ready to fly. Sorry but I can’t really give you a recommendation of a good RTF plane as all my planes were built from kits. Best to build I think, that’s if you confident enough, it gives greater satisfaction once it’s all airborne and it’s also the best learning curve. Any flight controller that can install either iNav or ardupilot would work on a plane but it’s best to get one more suited for flying wings such as the f405 or f765 from matek those are design purely for planes.

    Vee's are very directional with quite a narrow beam. Other's have mentioned the orientation. Should get way above 30km. Should also have 1.3g antennas on the rx as well. Great setup and plane.

    Hi! I maidend mine today, but it was quite windy, so i do not have a good understanding of its flight performance jet.
    Only think i noticed is that the CG markings are quite far forward on the wing compared to other planes i own, so i wondered where you have your cg

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  8 месяцев назад

      I also have used the markings underneath the wings. The battery I used in mine is quite large I plan to use a smaller battery in it from now on.

    I've been following your build of the rebel gt so thanks for those videos, I have the rebel gt unassembled kit on the way and also have the zoid xl enhanced which has been a great plane. Just wondering which of the 2 you prefer? Also im trying to find recommend control surface throws on the rebel gt how is yours setup? All my planes are also running on expresslrs 3.3.0 and so far no fail safes on my 1.3ghz fpv i use only RMRC tx and rx have had the XL out to 7 miles no problem. Any advise would be appreciated Thanks again

      Hi and thanks for the comment, out of the 2 planes I currently prefer the Dart XL its setup well faultless auto launch and tuned quite well. My Talon on the other hand struggles on the auto launch especially on a more windy day. I run the same 10000mah battery as I run in the Dart Xl. Where the Dart has no issues using it I think the talon struggles more especially on take off. Once the talon is up it feels a more exciting plane to fly, more agile than the Dart. Both great planes but I have found the Talon harder to get flying with the 10000 mah battery. I do plan to sometime get a smaller battery maybe 7000mah to make it a bit lighter upon takeoff hopefully that helps it. Btw great range on your Dart 7 miles, I havent pushed mine that far, mine has gone out to about 6km still with great elrs range.

      The throws for the talon I am pretty sure are in the manual. From memory I think around 10mm ailerons and 12mm elevator although I’m not 100% sure if that’s exactly correct.

      Ok thanks for information, my rebel gt is still on the way but I'm trying to figure out what would be the difference as far as autolaunch I know that's a heavy battery but with same wing span, motor and prop combo seems like one would launch similar to the other, I build my own 18650 packs been flying with 4s2p 7000mah battery but C rating to low 20amp, in process of building a 6200mah with 30amp C rating but to me thats still border line, my ar wing pro and dart xl pulling 32 to 35 amp on autolaunch but will see how it goes. Keep making those videos very informative.

      I'm still flying my rebel gt every chance I get And flying good but only thing its still banking hard right on autolaunch just like yours, just wondering if you ever got this figured out. I've tried everything i can think of but still banking hard right. Thanks

      @stonesrcchannel  6 месяцев назад

      @@egtreadway4232 although I haven’t flown it now for a bit since my it had a slight mishap on launch because of it, it still would bank right on launch, I never really worked it out but I think I will give it another flight soon to see if I can suggest anything. It seems to be an issue quite a few people have had with. It’s the only plane I have which flies good once in the air but getting it launched has me holding my breath every time. I put the cause down to it heavy weight.

    Hi, friend! What version of Inav is installed on your flight controller? I ask this because I see the excellent work of the artificial horizon on the screen VTX.

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  Год назад +1

      Hi, it’s running 6.1 latest version.

    • @pvsv7667
      @pvsv7667 Год назад +1

      @@stonesrcchannel Yes, I already understood it. Thank you! Almost all of my planes already have the 6.1 version of Inav installed. But not for everyone. I also have a glider that still has Inav 3.1 installed and it works great. And I thought, why change something???

  • @k1ortia

    That matek vtx is terrible, maybe try AKK or Tbs Unify?

    The inverted V antenna should be pointed to the front of the plane, not up in The air

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  Год назад

      Is that what’s recommended with that antenna? I will give it a go see if it improves, I’ve never seen any info on the antenna where it should be positioned that way. Thanks for the tip.
