    Andrew, I've always felt the Talons are one of your favorite planes to fly. So I guess that it's just another good one!
    Thanks for this one and I wish you happy holidays and a nice 2024 new years!

    Hey Andrew, awesome stuff. I've been following this series as I've been messing with a talon for a while but have had horrible luck launching it. Mine torque rolls like crazy during launch. I noticed you have built yours quite a bit lighter than mine, and I wonder if that is what is causing issues. I used the bigger 5k lion, gopro, vista with a fan, larger gps, etc. The aup must be quite a bit more than yours. Mine will also shimmy and approach stall at the speeds you were flying at, I have to keep the power up.... so I think these all point to maybe it needs a diet.

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes many have had the same experience. It's not a great weight carrier. Much better keeping it light.

  • @tksamac
    @tksamac 7 месяцев назад

    I just built up my Talon Rebel GT over Christmas break and my buildup in hardware and in INAV are almost the same! However, mine torque rolls into the ground right after launch release. CGs and Props are correct. I am in total manual mode since that's how I fly my fleet of planes. FPV is new to me but am not having fun figuring out this issue.

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  7 месяцев назад

      Ailerons reversed or stabilisation reversed? Too much throttle and soft throw? Too heavy and not enough launch speed?

    • @tksamac
      @tksamac 7 месяцев назад

      @@AndrewNewton yes I’ve checked control surfaces. Throw is good, I think. Throttle is maybe 75 percent.
      Can’t say I’ve ever had a plane need so much more hard toss and thrust at launch. I see no one launches these things in manual on their maiden’s and I’m getting convinced this thing can’t work in a manual launch either

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  7 месяцев назад

      Watch my maiden. Full manual, no FCB. What's your all up weight?

    • @tksamac
      @tksamac 7 месяцев назад

      @@AndrewNewton flying weight is 1140 grams. I’m about to measure thrust and torque roll at full throttle with a scale. Being a baseball pitcher over 40 years ago, I thought I threw pretty hard still. Guess not, lol.
      Got an sdcard to measure this next time as well. My Accelerometer measurements kept drifting in INAV so looking into that.
      Thx for the response!
      Terry

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  7 месяцев назад

      No problem Terry, this is an intriguing problem. Others have talked about torque roll too, but that's usually with overloaded Talons and AutoLaunch. Your weight is good, your throwing would be way better than mine and you're in Manual so the FC setup can't be the issue. Do you have video of the launch?

    Hello Andrew, thank you very much for your videos. Have you rooted your DJI glasses with WTFOS? Are you satisfied? Is this stable with the current version? I've read about sudden reboots. Does this still happen? Thank you in advance for your answer...

      Yes, very satisfied. I have not had any problems with rebooting and I have been using it for about 8 months.

    I have no previous experience with aircraft. I want to use the auto launch and auto landing features, and if I am in trouble, I want to try turning on the support features. What does the plane do after the auto launch procedure? Do I need to turn on the RTH mode so that it draws circles in the air, or is this the continuation of the auto launch procedure?
    I'm a little confused about the modes that should be on during takeoff or the ones that should be turned on afterwards. Since I use flysky i6x, there are only 4 toggle switches on the remote control. I can't assign all models

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 месяцев назад +5

      Wrong approach, you will be wasting your time and money. Learn to fly a plane first. INAV will not help you to learn the basic.
