Cheers for sharing, Numi. Wonderful to see the SOTD in all its glory. No one else has visibly shown the plain edge on their coins. Rather predictably, I'm holding out for the proof version later this year. My only gripe is Royal Mint's eye popping price increases that are now completely disassociated from spot.

I think the proof version this year will be good as well. It will be high mintage but tbe demand will be huge..

Key factor appears to be that it actually looks golden, rather than rose gold. Trick of the light in the video? Marvelous in the frosted.

Nope, same colour as all recent sovereigns.

@@trende1378 That's a shame. I was hoping that perhaps Charles would express new standards. Maybe he'll get there eventually. We need someone of influence to bring it to his attention, so that his Royal Personage is "less than best pleased at the colour of my Sovereigns".

I just got word that my SOTD sovereign made a 70 at PCGS! 🥳

Why don’t all the sovereigns have a matte finish? Proofs are obnoxious

Hi, Numi. It has a very nice finish.

I seem to detect a pit mark on the obverse at the base of Charles' neck near the F in DEF. If it is & not the capsule, know the feeling as I have this coin with two pit marks on the rim.

Beautiful coin!!!!! I like how the crown distracts from the giant ear.

It may be 22 carat gold, but for me the clown on the obverse debase's the coin to such an extent that I would only be interested in it as a bullion value coin.
Pistrucci's master piece on the reverse, and the clown on the obverse, no thanks.
