    Hi Dr Julie
I’m a 77 year old male who has battled anxiety since my mid twenties and learned progressive muscle relaxation back then.
Your technique of adding such simple beautiful music in which the manner you did,was just amazing, not to mention your soothing beautiful voice. Thank you! I’m listening before bed and first thing in the morning! ❤

During the meditation, you asked to sense the emotion i was feeling. I named the emotion and felt it in my head. The moment i touched my head, i started crying uncontrollably. I guess thats where the emotion was trapped. I released the emotion and will come back to release more emotions.
    Thanks alot for this

The same thing happened to me! I felt grief and sadness in my heart and my throat . I thought I was having a panic attack that’s why I turned this video on but no…as soon as she said “feel the emotion” I cried uncontrollably and felt the sensations in my heart and throat. It was incredible! Thank you @drjulie for your ministry! God bless you and I’m sending hugs to you @yusrameer8755

I'm very sad and lonely everyday. I have no friends and no purpose in life. I lost all my life in god and dont want to be here anymore. No one cares about me, not even god ever helps me. My heart is broken and I am hopeless which resulted in me using many addictions so I dont have to face this pain. This meditation makes me cry alot. I will keep doing it. Thank you.

May I suggest you use his name in prayer, and pour your heart out to him, as he invites us to do. Ask for the help you need, and see how he will answer you. You are precious. Thank you Dr. Julie. This was an eye opening experience. It helped me think deeper about my self talk. It’s always been telling me you could be better. I can improve on my chores and the work I do. A lot of the times I would fail to meet my own expectations and it can lead to a negative spiral of behaviors or thinking. It can range from the subconscious thought of telling me you’re not good enough or just ignoring the problem and start on a new problem that needs to be fixed. As someone that was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD at 28 years old, I have accumulate a lot of poor behavior or coping mechanism. When your guided meditation instructed to feel the stress point in the body and place your hand to just feel its warmth, then have it represent my own kindness to myself, I immediately realized how lacking I am in self appreciation and outward appreciation. I want to explore this further and will incorporate more meditation throughout the day.

I find absolutely all your videos amazing, Dr. Smith! The power of the present moment... and the great practice of acceptance towards the inner tensions and pains you convey through this video. Not making the negative sensations go away, but rather getting into some peaceful harmony with them, which paves the way to a step-by-step spiritual healing. You are really blessed with the power of influencing the soul and the mind. Please do more videos of any kind! They are always helpful and very much appreciated!

I always withold and conceal my true emotions. Even the happy ones. Only anger seems to be unable to be uncontrolled. But, the more I meditate and look inwards, the more Im finding that anger is only there because there is too much pressure inside.
So Ive gotten into the habbit of doing something I cant stand to do, I tell myself to "let go" and allow myself to lose control.
This video did help in some ways, but the first emotion that came to mind when asked was "alone". And that emotion is right over my heart. I tend to block emotions and just float from day to day, and not allow myself to feel. But, this, this hit hard. It forced me to let go and feel them.

My therapist recommends doing mindful meditation along with journaling, yoga, and sound and nature baths daily if possible. I haven't been consistent in a while with all the mindful work, and I decided today to get back to it as I've been emotionally dysregulated much more recently. This was a very good 10-minute meditation and something I can do at my desk. Thanks for this and I look forward to more of your content.

Good luck! Try to be consistent with meditation, all is good, but daily meditation is most important. And if I may: try Qigong instead or with Yoga (or Yoqi!) Nature bathing is also wonderful, sounds like you have a good therapist. You just need a lot of time, like a full time job. Don’t give up!

I normally find meditation recordings really irritating and hate the sing songy patronising voices. Suffice to say I usually end up chucking my phone across the room because I am so wound up! But I was in a bad place and willing to try anything. This exercise Dr Julie was a revelation. Your voice was so calming and soothing and I felt allowed to be as I was, not "instructed" to be a certain way. I felt emotion but it didn't overpower me as it often does, it felt safe to let it just be and I didn't fear it. So helpful and will keep using this meditation exercise. I hope to discover more in the near future.

Dr Julie, Your 10 minute meditation experience was so very peaceful and relaxing!
Your Voice, Calming ,The Lighting, The Background music is all so coordinated to feel a true sense of Total peace, Healing, Being kind to myself, To stop and do something for me and my Body and Spirit.
I noticed such a difference in how I felt afterwards, I actually went out on a walk, I've been in chronic pain since my Heart Attack .
It's been really hard to deal with How I've been feeling and acceptance of where I'm at in my life. Choices that I need to make.
I think I can do a better job with the clarity that I feel after Your Program.

Wow. I'm new to this. 5 cervical surgeries and told root nerve damage. Constant shoulder pain. Recently found the mind-body connection via Dr. Sarno. Never thought I would believe it, but I now do.
Only my 4th meditation ever and it was fantastic. Subbed and bell on. Thank you so much for what you do Dr. Julie

    Hey doc
Just found this and it’s really good to listen 👂 to.
I’m on a new journey of early recovery ❤️‍🩹 from addiction and my spiritual guide has asked me to start working with meditation 🧘‍♀️ for just ten minutes to begin with.
This is very helpful to me and being my breath is connecting me back to myself and who and what I really am.
Thank you so much 😊 and more please 😊❤

Hi, I have just come to this channel after starting your audiobook today. Before listening this guided mediation I completed some of the journaling as per the first few chapters. Within this mediation you ask us to place a hand on the body part where you feel the strongest emotion. I placed the palm of my hand on my head, within five seconds I felt an uncontrollable surge of emotion and began to cry. It was very powerful, as this is not a standard way for me in meditation practice. I am not sure how to process the reaction though. Thank you I guess, will keep on exploring it with further work.

I was also interrupted by an ad but successfully brought mind back to breathing. I have much physical pain and these exercises literally allows relief to the pain because my mind is focused on breath & sounds, etc. this is extremely helpful. If you might do mindful meditation keeping in mind a body that has much throbbing pain. That would be amazing. Thank u. Music on this one might have been turned down a wee. 🇨🇦 ❤

I found you through TikTok and have found your videos really positive and helpful.
Your ten minutes of mindfulness made me cry because I was honest and said out loud how I was feeling.
I listened to your voice, allowed the tears and focused on my breathing and kept bringing myself to the present - it helped.
When I put my hand to where the pain is and started to be kind to myself, my children and friends came to the forefront and that made me smile, thank you.
I think we're all guilty of not allowing ourselves to stop and breathe. I will certainly be practising your technique.

I include mindfulness meditation in my daily routine. Thank you for this session which was what I needed, not overly spiritual or excessively filled with gratitude, which I know has its place but isn’t necessarily what I need.
