Incursions at The Academy | Trouble in Theondir | D&D Campaign 1, Session 22

Having stumbled into a long-forgotten underground temple to Kiaransalee, The Lady of the Dead, the group would make their way through an ominous portal leading into the temple’s altar room. Here the adventurers would solve a riddle concerning extinguishing the light and thereby be given passage to the crypt.
Upon entering this room, however, Bholen would fall under mind-control, turning on his fellow travelers just as the northern and southern walls burst with a rush of horrifying skeletal warriors charging down upon the intruders. With some quick thinking, the group would extinguish the flames in the room, thereby freeing Bholen from his mind-control and ending the animate spell holding together the skeletal bones.
The lid of the sarcophagus being blown off, the group would pass through a portal into another dimension where Grogil would both find and don a unique ebony-shaded breastplate before the entire group would emerge from the dimension through another portal where they would find themselves at the very pinnacle of the tower of the Synchari Academy-the mysterious destination that the group thus far had been entirely unsuccessful in breaching.
