A Curious Caravan | Trouble in Theondir | D&D Campaign 1, Session 23

- Having mysteriously transported through a portal deep in the Temple to the Lady of the Dead, the adventurers were whisked away to the pinnacle of the Synchari Academy. Here they were met by Merek and were escorted immediately to Ildrox where they received a good deal of information concerning the grim state of Theondir.
With a new task given them to seek out and retrieve the Vambraces of Silus and Aldaen, the group would flee the Academy just as a Dracolich breached the protective shield of the Orb of Syncharis. The adventurers would hurry across the Deh-Lehndah River to meet up with Ildrox’s contact person, Phineas Neaphus, who would escort them out of the city through a secret tunnel system and thereafter saddle them up with mounts as well as lead them overland toward the harbor city of Truhamn.
After several hours of intense riding, the group would stop in the bluffs alongside a river in order to take a much-needed rest. Their rest, however, was short-lived as they suddenly observed in the valley below a curious caravan making its way along the river. But not only this, riding along the ridge were several Orc Scouts on boars-with each second coming closer and closer to the hidden group.

Our characters/players consist of Traego Tanglewood (Chad), Bholen Thaezregroth (Tim), Grogil Greenshanks (Eric), Niv (Daniel), Kerrhylon Balasar (Paul), Dzien (Mike) and the Dungeon Master Matthew.
