    Did you know that google assistant also knows two Harry Potter spells and understands it? If you speak "Lumos" it will turn the flashlight on and if you speak "Nox" it will turn it off
    I mostly use google assistant to play music, set a shopping list, for opening apps sometimes and jokes. Although some of the stuff in this video are new to me. I'll definitely try them all.

      +Dhaval Shukla I did not know about the Harry Potter spells working with Assistant. Just tried it, that is super cool. 🙂

      Dhaval Shukla
      OMG! I had no idea about that. That is so geeky and I love it. I usually use Google to open apps, play music, do a shopping list also, and I also activate the random fun here in there. Google assistant is great and I hope Google keeps adding more functionality, as well as the Developers. Thanks for those Harry Potter spells, I'm going to use that :)

    • @abum75
      @abum75 7 лет назад +5

      Dhaval Shukla can also say "silencio" to put your phone into silent mode

    • @DhavalShukla
      @DhavalShukla 7 лет назад +2

      Jason Davidson wow really? Cool. However I have doubts on that command being a Harry Potter spell.

    I'm about 100 yrs old and so I remember when we had NOTHING in the way of technology. As a result, I'm practically amazed out of my mind every time I see something new -- I'm never blase about it. The TECHGUMBO channel is another thing that never ceases to amaze me. I may not use everything (I doubt anyone does...) but I always extract something helpful from the videos.

    • @BrettInTech

    Up until now, I have enjoyed using Assistant but after checking out THIS specific video & learning about ALL 'her' talents, trust me, I will definately be using my assistant a lot more...not just to make some things easier to accomplish but to give a real boost to my level of self confidence, improved time mangement & having a general sense of feeling superior to my former self..(teehee) Each function has been laid out in a step by step guide on not only how to interact with 'her/it' but examples & suggestions on how to get the information you are looking for more efficiently AND frankly, delivered to me with a kind of digital sense of humor....if there is such a creature, makes for more enjoyment..FUN ! Good communication is key in any relationship (professional or casual, business or pleasure) whether it be between humans, animals &/or machine ensures a succeesful.
    So, in shocking conclusion, let me just urge you to check this out & make your own decision. It will be an easy one. Many thanks to the developers.
    OH! My only suggestion for improvement or change would be ALLOWING EACH USER TO GIVE THEIR ASSISTANT A NAME OF USERS CHOICE..or at least have the option to be able to choose from a list of names other than 'Ok Google'. Highly suggest everyone to check out ✌😆🎶🎹🎷🎵🎸

    A couple of things I might mention would be 'where did I park my car'- I think she knows that. And when you setup a reminder you can do it for specific place and I think also for when you talk and maybe text people.

    The only games that I can find today riddle rooms (tell me a riddle), and Santa needs to know in what type of music his song has to be (talk to Santa). These days I have to try a few times. When you hear phone sounds, it works.
    Since I can't really focus but being distracted by these interactive games in a positive way, I am eagerly trying to find more, so I get things done. Please share here if you know more.

    Maybe someone can answer my question - How to make google assistant process commands from the first device which caught my voice? For example, I have google assistance on two devices - google home and google assistance on my Pixel4xl. And the problem is that if they both are in the same room and I need to ask something for assistance (I say Ok, Google) and two of my devices trying to answer me. Is it possible to set up that only the first device will answer me and not both of them in parallel?

    You can also ask it various versions of 'What song is playing?' and it will listen and identify it in the majority of cases

  • @berry186
    @berry186 7 лет назад +7

    you can also say "take me home" (or "take me to work") to navigate to your home or work (but you will need to tell her the addresses the first time so she can save it but once she saved it you can just use those commands instead of you having to keep putting it in. She can also save your most frequently visited places in the favorites list.

      +aditya agarwal It's a good thing I didn't keep repeating "OK Google". That would have driven your phone crazy! 😀

    Excellent .I used my built-in Voice Recorder for shopping parts description and the Share feature but this is worth the service charge...can you mount it on your dash and speak and drive.and be Safe ? Did th know statistics recently say 40% of car accidents happen while talking and driving .

    Google Assistant is amazing! Just bought an Iphone as I was having problems with my Galaxy S7. Assistant is light years ahead of Siri-- for sure. And that's assuming Siri understands what you're asking for in the first place (often several tries needed). I've tried some really obscure stuff on Assistant, including homophone words, some with foreign language roots. Sometimes seems to think about it a few seconds-- I guess analyzing the context-- but then gets it right nearly every time. May switch back eventually, largely on the utility of G. Assistant.

      +Geronimo122 I agree with you. Siri is so far behind Google Assistant. I even find Cortana to be far superior to Siri.

      What types of things are you saying or asking where Google's better that's practical, every day useful things? I've tried both and both work great or don't work great. So, for me in terms of what I am requesting, they both are good and bad. I certainly, at this point in time, don't use voice commands often enough to make it a top priority, there are other things that are more important to me.
      but in Apple's defense, they just had Siri under Eddy Cue and Eddy's not my choice of who I would have in charge of Siri. They handed Siri off to Craig about a month ago, so I think in the future, Siri's going to get a lot better since I have more confidence in Craig getting his team to work on Siri to make it a lot better.
      Either way, for what I use Siri for, it works pretty well, but I'm not used to giving voice commands and talking to my phone isn't exactly the best method in noisy environments….

    every time I asked my Google Assistant repetitive questions I have to say the Okay Google. I cannot asked it questions back-to-back it just simply will not answer me. anything I have to do to make it not shut off directly after the questions been answered or some work that way and some don't?
