I love your story. I too understand being in a dark place and art helping to bring light. When I began my fluid art journey I was inspired by many of the same artists. Funny story. I was first inspired by Dutch pours. I purchased squeeze bottles and paint and made pouring medium. I got everything and spent 8 hours mixing paint. Then discovered that Dutch pours are not my thing. I’m not good at them. I don’t super love them. 🤪 so I had 36 bottles of paint too thin to do the stuff I actually liked. Which is flip cup, swipe, open pour. Thank goodness my daughters and granddaughter liked them and used up some of the paint. Haha. I’m new to your channel and already finding you inspiring. The green and yellow pour you did some time ago was gorgeous. You have a calm soothing voice by the way. Thanks for sharing your art.
I’m so happy to see more males taking up this form of art. I suffer from mental health issues due to my service in the defence and it gives me “my time” and zones me out
I love open cup pours. I use a lightwieght open cup and let it travel around the canvas as I manipulate the tilt. You have probably already tried it but if not give it a try. Fantastic colors composition and a beautiful piece.
I bought artists loft white and got lumps straight away. Horrible stuff I wouldn't use again without straining. Bought liquitex instead and that's much better. I love this picture. It looks like an amazing (as yet undiscovered) sea creature. Much Kudos to you.
I absolutely love this! The blue's are gorgeous! I'm an acrylic-painting-newbie, just found your channel a few days ago, and I'm going to try to duplicate your every move. I think it looks like a jellyfish! Thank you for all of your ideas and experiments!
#FREEJOEBOB Unleash the beast & give "JoeBob" him free reign of the Studio!! Also, another lovely open cup pour, colours are amazing & the lacing is a top touch. Nuff Respect J.Mo dude 🙏🏻 👌 🙏🏻👊
Johnny! WOW!!! I’m a new subscriber, cruising through all your videos and hitting on the ones that catch my eye first. I’m a total sucker for the blues and the greens and the purples! This one is AMAZING!!! I’m watching several artist’s channels, trying to learn this amazing craft, and I am really glad I found your channel, you’re easy going and relatable. I love how you narrate your way through the videos, and especially love how you share your excitement when we see something amazing evolve right in front of our eyes! You’re awesome Johnny, looking forward to learning good things from you!!! Merv
Johnny. if you put a piece of used (but clean) nylon over the opening of the paint bottle and secure it with a rubber band, it makes a perfect filter to keep those blobs off of your canvas. Hope that helps! 😊 also, when you used the hair dryer to blow out your last piece, if you use it on low you have better control of your paint. Brenda Porter
It looks 3D... like a frozen world growing out of nothing.... like a hole in the fabric of time! To be completely honest this is probably my favorite one I've seen on your channel thus far! How inspiring!
@@JMoPainting I Do thanks, but I miss being creative, but it’s not possible at the moment because my home is going through a huge makeover so there are to much dust and chaos . But I’ll be back ;) In the meantime I’m enjoying great videos like yours 🙏🏻❤️🇩🇰
Enjoyed this painting. Blues get me every time!!!! Also a sucker for cells and negative space so this one’s a winner in my eyes. Loving your dude of a brother. It’d be a hoot to see him try to put do you! ;) PS new sub
I recently discovered your channel here and I can say out of others I have watched you by far exceed all of them (my opinion). Others may not agree. I learned pouring quite awhile ago but then busy life forgot about it. Thanks to the pandemic/ quarantine I found it again and am loving it. You make sure that you discuss every detail of what you are doing and why. I seem to get more of instruction and understanding of what I need to do with my pours. Thanks. Be safe and have a fun day!! Mark 👍🖌🎨
From 9:23 to the time you started blowing it has a 3 dimension look. Very beautiful colors and thank you for the explanation as your creating! Amazing!!
Oh Johnny, what a beautiful piece! "Geek out and stare at it" was hilarious! I do the same thing. I cant help getting lost in them. I love watching you. You're so inspiring. In fact laundry and housework can wait.....I'm going to go play with my paints instead! 😁. Until we meet again...have a lovely day! 🌞💙🌞
Absolutely gorgeous but I would have blown out that right side that was a little flat but that's my OCD. lol that Turquoise reminds me of the clear Turquoise blue ocean 💙 in Okinawa and in Hawaii such a distinctive blue so breathtaking. Could u put the black closer to the bottom because the white lacing might have been more prevalent. I guess that means you'll just have to make another gorgeous painting to see & I would love to see it now using a blow dryer with that flat attachment. Equally amazing I'm sure. Thank u for these videos and thank u for ur service. I was a AF military brat & a AF military wife & now a retired unremarried former spouse as the AF calls me after 20yrs of being married. I've been attached to the military my whole life, I was even born in an Army hospital. I'm familiar with military ways u could say. 🙏🤜🤛
