Great video man, Thank you. My girl backed up my truck into a yellow pole at McDonald ; I took the truck to a couple of body shops they were trying to charge me at least 2k for the job.

Yeah labor is very expensive. My bother does auto body but said would cost about the same. Hopefully you can get your back up and running only advice I have is to get way more paint then you think you will need.

Great job, I've painted house and cabinets, and I'm sure people will comment it's not the same, in fact I have a set of jeep doors I need to color match that I need to get done, ok back to what I was gonna say,
Use the tack rag to wipe it down right before you spray. Other than that looks better than the big hole. 😊

Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words words. Once I get to buffing it it should match pretty well.

Thanks for the video i used to do auto body in college just for fun and just informative i think why you got your orange peel is you said it was cold so im assuming its cold in your garage, and you also did some thick coats instead of more light coats. other than that looks good for a rattle can job.

You are correct! I should have been more careful with the coats.

Did you buff the clear coat with some compound? That will really make it blend in.

I have all intentions of buffing it. I just have not had a chance yet. Moved across the country and settling in here.

Great video! Do you really drive Uber in that? I can't imagine that's a lucrative return with the gas mileage.

I sure do. Mainly when it snows and cars get stuck. Good money on stormy nights.

Should have painted inside of fender as well. Will not last long with just factory primer.

That's a good point! I'll make sure to do that next time I have to replace a fender.
