Hey, I just had a hair transplant 2 weeks ago, with 3100 grafts exstracted. But I do have one small patchy area, where there's missing some hair. Im hoping its shockloss, because the rest of my donor area looks decent.
Hi, it took me 3 months before I saw a small recovery and after 5 months recovery was great I felt fine knowing the bald patches do grow back. Eat healthy, don't be stressed about it, it will grow and most important stay on finasteride to stop the fall out especially for the first year. @@rohithkumarburshayfernando
Can you have shock loss at the injection site where no harvesting nor grafting was performed? Why is the hair follicle at the shock loss site white or no color
Great video, thanks. Is there any way to see if there has been over harvesting on the 3rd day after the hair transplant has happened? They took 5000 gtafs in my case
I just had a hair transplant 2 days ago and the donor area is looking really bad and inflamed…should I be worried about over harvesting? They took 4,000 grafts…
How long will shock loss last in donar area ??? I got moth like patch in one area its big as a coin 1 pence coin after my hair implants I got no hair in their still it's been 2 months what's going on ?
I am a patient of OCD and taking psychotic medicine last 6 years. My main concern is my hair fall started when I was 14. Now I am 31 years old. Totally bald. Probably Norwood 7. But the problem is I have losing hair from lower and side portion of the head. Maybe retrograde alopecia. And also losing beard.almost 70% of my beard density has gone and losing my beard line. I saw many dermatologist but nothing works. I just want to know is it treatable?
It may be treatable with a combination of minoxidil, steroid injections and JAK inhibitors. Sounds like you have some form of alopecia, not only genetic alopecia. Unfortunately, you’re not a candidate for hair transplantation.
I'm at three month and still bolding patchiness round and above the right ear it's my second procedure and it's a risk of permanent thinning in donour area..I looked at it today and I'm heart broken it looks awful it's hurting me mentally I'm hoping it improves cos if not I don't know what I'm gunna do absolutely gutted and I'm sick of wearing hats n caps everytime I go out feel really down about this I hope so much it improves but when I look closely I doubt it'll get any better what can I do now?anyone any advice?
I'm in the same boat. I'm 4 months out and front is coming back great but the donor area still has demarcation lines. Most noticeable to me is some patchiness above my left ear. My right is not too bad. I hear sometimes it can take a year. Idk. I went from being insecure about my front hairline to being insecure about the back. It sucks
@pappa7t3 Hey, I myself had a HT in Turkey exactly one year ago and have the same problem, so you are not alone don't worry :). I also have a patchy area on the back of my head. The best thing you can do is let the sides grow, then buy a hair system (hair you glue on your head) and then do a low fade at the barber. Otherwise, you're not going to have it easy. I experience 1:1 the same concern. There is no other option. Personally, I don't want to do HT at all because if you have severe hair loss where everything on top is completely affected, then it's not worth it. You can't restore it unless you have receding hairline, then maybe.
@@MrGreen-gz4dh hey hope your happy with the growth mines filling out a bit but still thin and weak looking but grown it enough for me to hide it a little..I think my donour has been over harvested and the crown is started to go bold but gotta wait for 12month see what my options are as I may not be able to have another fue .. I wish I'd not started now it's so stressing
If u notice the picture that have patch is from other side and the 4 month is other side

Any update?

Would you say the area above and close to the ears are more prone to shock loss?
It may also be retrograde alopecia

Melvin do you have any knowledge on what is the best place in Europe for donor area SMP?
I don’t know of any SMP in Europe. Some clinics may offer smp.
Good information!
Glad it helped
Hey Mel.....can SMP cover up this issue?
It can definitely help if you shave the donor, but not if you plan on growing it out.

Omg i got overharvesting. Its been 6 months and still the same its in de donor area can i do something about it ?
If it doesn’t improve you can do smp, or BHT transplant into the donor.

No but you need to show the "overharvested" example up to at least 6 months to see the evolution before concluding it was not a good result

Get FUT and avoid it
FUT isn’t fail proof and has shock loss as well
@@HairTransplantNetwork the quality of the FUT in comparison is incomparable
