      Love watching all you Tesla fanboys take apart their presentation like Tesla hasn't failed to meet delivery deadlines and sent out buggy products. This company may not be it but there will come a time when Tesla will be dethroned as top of the EV's because right now they have no competition. All it will take is so one to make something as good and sell it cheaper. Innovation isn't about new ideas it's about creating a better mousetrap.

      Dylan even if this hideous vehicle somehow does better than a Tesla vehicle on the market, its okay because that's what Tesla wanted in the first place. To encourage people to change to electric or 0 emissions in general.

      For goodness' sake, it's essentially an alpha release. There are bound to be glitches at this stage of the game. You need to take a holistic view of their vision and assess based on that, and their likelihood to deliver on that in a reasonable timeframe.

    • @Mtheorygarage
      @Mtheorygarage 8 лет назад +7

      Regardless that was very bad publicity. I am very certain that an alpha release for any product would never want to present a feature that ended up not working on stage without assessing the risk, and I speak for all companies. That couple seconds of presentations alone may have lost key investors which for a startup is super crucial.

      what's cool about it? The only thing i can think of is the horsepower. But lets be real, who cares about horsepower. None of us are going to be drag racing on the freeway or side streets. However, I'm glad that there's more EV cars being announced, because this will mean new things for the electric car market. The reason why Faraday Future isn't going anywhere is because Tesla is honestly better overall... Unless Faraday Future comes out with some flying high tech extreme smartness that simulate an airplane similar to car size, Faraday Future won't be going anywhere anytime soon...

      It will do just fine up to about $140k (comparable to Model X P100)

    • @TheTitanofgames
      @TheTitanofgames 8 лет назад +13

      a huge reason that tesla does so well is because of Elon Musk, faraday doesn't have him or the brand recognition associated with tesla.
      it also doesn't have the supercharger network, which is a huge drawback.

    • @supernonameaccountbrolol
      @supernonameaccountbrolol 8 лет назад +5

      Looks are subjective. When you compare a Model X and the FF91, while the FF91 may have a better 0-60 score and keyword SOPPOSEDLY more range, access to the Super Charger network, fairly new but established dealerships and repair centers, and a pioneering self driving mode, are the majority of the time more valuable to consumers. And when comparing price, the Model X isn't Tesla's final goal. That would be the Model 3. Which is guaranteed to be half the price of the Model X and be equipped to use all of the features that make a Tesla the most highly praised EV's on the market.

    • @MiserableAmerica
      @MiserableAmerica 8 лет назад +3

      It is sure to start at well above 100k considering battery size and what must be very large motors considering the claimed 1050 HP. LIDAR is not cheap either. Their interior looked very S-Class like. I will be surprised if a base model is under 150k.

    • @normaaliihminen722
      @normaaliihminen722 8 лет назад +2

      +Jacob Dwelle No one would ever buy this car. At that price. You could get Tesla Model S with half of that price.

  • @BigMan7o0
    @BigMan7o0 8 лет назад +12

    if they drop the price to like 50k, fix its bugs, and make it look a bit better, then there might be some competition for tesla to go against, but i doubt it.

    • @FiRe24710
      @FiRe24710 8 лет назад

      BigMan7o0 tesla' comming out with that car what's 30k tesla are making their cars more affordable to the general public I say this company goes broke within 5 years like that other company that tried to compete with tesla did.

    • @BigMan7o0
      @BigMan7o0 8 лет назад +1

      most likely yeah. i think FF would have to do something that is actually true innovation to even stand a chance against tesla. tesla already has a very good foothold in the EV market, and they have plans to get an even better foothold with their 30k cars.

    • @FiRe24710
      @FiRe24710 8 лет назад

      BigMan7o0 I only see big companies switching to EV so they can compete with tesla's then we could get some affordable cars. They have some concepts but they are to ridiculous for my liking.

    • @GtaRockt
      @GtaRockt 8 лет назад

      +waerp11 yeah sure, but they wanna show what's possible. If more and more car manufactures produce E-cars, there will also be more and more in every price range.
      A Renault Zoe costs about 20k and many countries now offer to fund you some money if you get an e-car.
      So it already is more or less affordable. And as someone mentioned before, if there is more competition, they will make better prices and stuff

      Faraday seems to have done quite a bit, now it's just a matter of building them, ensuring quality mfg. and making them affordable. I think these guys do need to work on their own presentations. They did a lot of repeating things and they could have compacted this down to about 1/2 hour and ran through more aspects of the car. Oh well right now, I can't afford either, so from that standpoint, these cars are not going to be used by the majority of the population.

Imagine it, just a comfy little sedan, pure electric, an aux cord/bluetooth, and just standard fare stuff like ac and heating. Make it as inexpensive as possible and with a standard method of recharging, so that it could use any charging station, and it would destroy the industry.

    The reveal is missing a lot of key details. Pricing, interior details for both front and back seats, different configurations, safety information, super charging infrastructure availability, etc. Also, there's no demonstration or test drives and the vehicle itself doesn't look like production ready yet. Though there are few new cool features, the company still doesn't explain why they are a different from other conventional car makers or other electric car companies. I wish there was more information during the one hour reveal.

      Yeah, they were way too early on calling it "the new fastest production electric car". Production means being made for retail deliveries within weeks. They don't even have the capability to do that yet.

    They forgot to have the car's lights come on when it's self-parking. Seems pretty dangerous for other drivers in the parking lot. Focusing on the complex while forgetting the simple.
