Is it just me or whenever he touches the hologram the ultrasound makes like a faint noise picked up by the camera
I heard that too but it could've been the bass from the music playing in the back.
DeathStrike1692 I think it was so "loud" it made it exceeded the spl on the mics and made it compress in a weird way
It's because the ultrasound pushes a gust of air that feels like a vibration, similar to P noises you hear in a mic like a Blue Yeti without a pop filter

Well perhaps 15-30 years down the line this could be a somewhat affordable vehicle when we finally figure out a way to produce mass amounts of energy and lower the cost for electric cars. As of now, this a car only multi millionaires and up will be able to afford.

Large automotive companies such as BMW have been creating examples of the, "future of the automotive industry" for decades now.... Any Millennial that grew up watching Top Gear on TV will know what I'm talking about... Every season almost they'd display images of some new showcase car with ground-breaking features... But let's be honest with ourselves here, how much of this innovative technology have we actually seen come to the common market? Yes, cars today have a few added sensors, and can park themselves with in-built cameras, but the experience really hasn't changed as much as they led you to believe...
For the most part these cars are produced simply to raise awareness of their branding, and to gain investor interest.
I think the made true on the i8 from concept to production pretty nicely, though. But, I get what you mean.

I can't wait for this. Amazon Prime ordering directly from your car and the head rest mounted speakers is super fantastic. I cannot WAIT for this to be released. I always thought that BMW was the worlds best car company, and now this video proves it.

Wow! To me this is one of the best show-cars I have ever seen! Normally I'm a V8-kinda-guy. But this interior is just fantastic. I also liked the book shelf in the back. Nice touch :-)

Glad to see BMW pioneering and coupling automobiles and technology, but I wish they would produce a caveman's car like the E46 or E36 again. Sad to think that children in a few years will never even see one in their life

Here's an example of why a car might need a heart rate sensor
Let's say an older folk is driving the car and gets a heart attack. The car can then autonomously drive them to a hospital, or pull over and call 911.

1. The demo wasn't of the car, it was of the interior - something far more advanced than both Porche and Tesla can offer. 2. Autonomous and electric are all Telsa can offer, but an autonomous and electric BWM would win every time thanks to the Germans.
