Around 30million Filipinos living in poverty??? Don't you think this is a little bit exaggeration? It sounded like it did not change from around 20 years ago. I did some research myself in 2018 because I care, and I thought it was much lower than that.
There's so much to do in the Philippines but people do so little. They're afraid of progress and take one bad decision after another like: 'It's ok, White people will help me'. But come on.. Cockfighting in 2021? How's that supposed to help the country and its culture to move forwards? Sorry, but I don't think giving them free stuff helps them. They definitely need to upgrade their culture and adapt it to the 21st century.
