I rode the Bandit Dual Battery Dual Motor...it was a beast! So much fun
It's mid 2023 and this tells me 2024 ebikes would have me replacing my car..
Car is pointless to begin with.
Why have something that you can't repair by yourself?
Nah 2026 at the latest, ebikes are the last segment to get new Electronic vehicle tech. They're just now getting GPS and anti theft....
@@fbyi2940True statement. I want to stop owning a car. I got my first car in 1974. It cost $300.00. We worked on our cars. A new car average price now is $50,000. It's just ridiculous.
@@fbyi2940I could repair my car myself I just want a e-bike cause it’s cheaper than gas and seems fun
@@fbyi2940 Kids, pets, cargo, elderly, overweight, handicapped physically and/ mentally, towing capacity to name a few. I have one, but I still need my Jeep for all kinds of stuff.
I'd absolutely recommend a dual motor. I live in a hilly area. In fact, the road that runs in front of my house would fit into San Francisco. I have two 750w nominal motors, a single 30ah battery. I haven't run it dead yet, but I have gone 43 miles and still had one bar. Granted, I don't go full speed. I run a mix of PA 1 & 2 with short bursts of 5 for safety with a mix of one and two wheel drive. My bike is heavy, all steel frame full suspension and mag wheels. I have taken full speed with two wheels, but honestly, I don't recall my max speed around 32 mph, I think. I'm not mentioning brand and all to be respectful of the channel, but I think the bike reviewed would be pretty darn close and has some nice features mine doesn't. I would say this bike would make anyone who lives in an area like mine very happy.
Amazing power. Where I live the law states pedal assist only and 250 watt motor power (dull I know) but there are a few bikes around with throttle. One example of the positive to this was a group of retirees that don't have the leg power of a trained athlete that need to get across a multi laned intersection quickly for their safety. Pushing the throttle lever gave them peace of mind to easily make it and after that they could plod along with pedal assist for exercise and enjoy their daily trip to the ice cream shop. This group I mention were all about 70 years old and still loving life. The ebikes gave them the ability to get out and do something they wouldn't normally be able to do. Inspirational stuff.
Where do you live........
@@darrylphillips6301 Australia. I wish they would update their laws regarding ebikes pedal assist or not. So frustrating at times.
@@richardharker2775 wow man that's crazy, hopefully that changes soon.
Oh finally! The vid I've been waiting for is here!
And That's' just the prototype version. Wow. It will easily do 45mph with the 1000w rear and the 750w front motors when its' on sale.. I will be looking at this one. Big Thumbs' up. Bro and thanks' for sharing.👍💯
36-38 is about what it should be able to do all day. 45mph on a full charge, and a tail wind, maybe for a few miles. But to consistently maintain that speed is usually seen on 60V systems
@@ChuiStrong Yes your right. This is the real world...lol..I Have fitted a 1000w front hub motor to my Engwe ep-2 pro. and with the stock rear hub motor 750w, my top speed is 37mph. and she pull's like a fright train..lol. The best mod.. love the power..lol. Thanks' for your reply my friend. oh just subbed as well.
I weigh 305lbs. I probably can't get it in th 40's... but I have a car, so I would ride this just for fun. I think it will support me at least. Considering buying it.
@@ChuiStrong Spot on, Ive had mine for about a month now and usually rips around 35.7 (Full throttle/ various wind conditions) but even at lower charges there is hardly little decline in speed
@user-ok9re2mi6p have you tried riding just front hub or just rear hub til 50% or so then switched to the other hub? I'm curious if this gets you into the 60mi+ range just running each independent until they get low then switching...
Im not a huge fan of the step thru design but ive also never rode one. Im sure its easier to get on and off. I like everything else about this! Its so hard to pick a bike when i find a new one that I want daily lol
I completely understand that problem, so many choices.
These style bikes look beasty in person . Dual battery and dual motor (1000w + 750w ) dual suspension. This one almost can’t be beat .

This is Great! and Answers a lot of questions I had... My G-Force T42, 48V 20AH 1100Wpeak folder can get a 25AH rackbag battery and a 36V500W front hub motor, making a 45AH 45mph folder, for under $2000. Change out forks to air suspension, turtle neck folding stem and BMX bars, Sparks battery blender and it's a folding e-motorcycle under $2500...! Always taking care to 'air pedal' past cops, of course... LOL
I would not be going over 40mph on a folding bike just for safety reasons
Good point@@mikec4308, Although, after flipping the bike at 35+ last yr over a forgotten kickstand in a sharp left turn, The bike never 'unfolded'... And came out far better than I did! But, a stainless hose clamp around the locking handle might be a good piece of 'insurance'... eh?

This bike is shorter than many, and without folding it may actually behave for loading into an RV. Maybe. Today a question comes to mind: Having a geared drive up front, when the motor is off it adds resistance by all the gear and bearing friction. So I'm thinking the way to go up front is direct drive. I predict this will become the norm for a few makers who really get the reasoning. If price is competitive, and Bandit will fit in the RV, I call it a smart buy.
Yeah, it would fit in the back of a pickup. I have one that's a bit longer. And I have to put it diagonal. It folds, but the folding isn't terribly convenient.
I think the shortness of this bike. What actually worked better for... Traveling with it on or in another vehicle.
I'd love to see a range test on this bike.
Yes I seen the new production model has 750w and 1000w and dual 20ah batteries. That is impressive considering how good the non production version did.
Just pre-ordered one. So excited to try it out
Updates?
I'm curious, can you actually get a good workout in at lowest setting while pedaling? And how fast do you go while on lowest speed and pedaling.
I'm trying to find a bike that has good speed, all terrain, but also gets me a good workout when I want to.
@@brandonboss6868I acttually canceled my order and got a Talaria xxx instead because I decided I wanted an ebike fast enough to keep up with traffic. So I wouldn't be able to answer those questions, but good luck on finding something that suits your needs. There's definitely a lot of varying choices when it comes to ebikes so take your time looking for one.
Also really curious about an update? I am considering one myself.
And now it's dual 1,000 watt motors, depending on the model.
If you gonna buy Ebike now competitor like , emma rollroad 2.0 or emma rollroad 3.0 or juiced hyperscrambler 2 or
juiced hyperscorpion or bandit x trail pro, which one would you buy 2024?
Great question curious myself
I was considering the Velotric Nomad 1 for my first ebike based on your reviews. But for $500 more ($2000 with early bird)... I mean... This seems like way better value. At $2700, there's a lot more competition. My only concern is I can't seem to find much about this brand. How's the customer support? etc.

Did I miss seat height? Mfg page says 33.4 in which I simply do not believe. Looks closer to 37 in. You didn't happen to measure it, did you? Definitely a tall seat - you just barely stand over it and you're like what? 6'6"? Can anybody verify this 33.4" seat height? The seat is easily 9" or more above the rear wheel (about 2-3" more than it NEEDED to be, since there is more clearance than that with rear suspension fully compressed. Rear battery is pretty low capacity (15Ah is NOTHING) when most slide-in rear-rack batts are 20-24Ah capacity and no bigger in size, so that was a design error.
Trying to reach the mfg but they have very LIMITED HOURS of online sales/support so that's not a great sign either - almost as bad as the Nutt brakes with the 120g OVERHEAT-PRONE "death rotors" other companies have tried and ditched - what a nightmare those will be on such a heavy bike. But it's CHEAP ENOUGH that I'll try one or two, IF that seat height is TRULY 33.4 inches...
Awesome bike, would like the look of a top tube, this still in pre order? Honestly most ppl that have these types of ebikes do virtually zero pedaling, I don't on my motercycle style e-bike, it's an easy and less expensive way get around town and have fun on! And we don't need to worry about legal aspects of a traditional moped, scooter. I freaking love both my ebikes, and shopping for one more.
How would you compare this to the wired bike?
Oh, YEAH!
Hope you try a couple dual wheel 750's by Fabulous. The 60V versions. I like the folding bike with dual suspension. I might be able to lift it into my vehicles rear hatch 🤔

Any idea when they will start shipping once we are able to order?
I love your reviews.
Up to 300k views better do the updated version. I really want one.☝️
Agree def need to do an updated vid of the production model.
I own a production model. I’ve had issue with my bike from the start. It’s slower than advertised (max 28mph regardless of mode) and range is closer to 70miles. With that said, it’s still fun for getting around town. Hill climb is decent but there’s definitely power fade over time. Also post sales support is non-existent... My partners bike is bricked due to a short 3weeks in and we’ve only gotten a promise of a call from a “manager”.
@@savorymaxwellSorry you are having such a bad experience with it. I would be pissed theres a guy by me with one for sale I was considering supposed be like new for $1800 I was gonna offer him $1500 but I keep hearing their customer service is non existent which makes me leary. Seriously only 28mph with 2 motors?
I'd classify this as an e-moped, instead of ebike. It goes well above Class 3 ebike category.
So?
Im only here because the scene where tchalla is chasing bucky and Captain America was 38mph in the movie
Is this cadence pedal sensor or torque pedal sensor?
Very good. Though have to deduct about 2mph since the speedo is NOT calibrated correctly. I have a 1500 Watt on my converted bike and get an actual 32mph.. But I'm about 220lbs right now. Pulls me nearly 30 up gradual hills to with 52v 20amp batts
Any plans to review the X-TRAIL URBAN?
One thing I'm curious about is the seat height. Seems like this bike was made for 6feet+ people...Could someone like 5'5 ride on this?
Your height should be good, as it has 20" wheels. The Bandit X-Trail Lite, and X-Trail Pro, are both good bets. Another top contender with 20" wheels is the "RAEV Bullet GT" ... but don't be tempted by their upcoming GTX model, as it's engineered for taller riders.
Just stand on the pedals, twist the throttle then climb up to the seat when it's moving. Anybody can ride any sized bike.

Hey I noticed you mentioned it didn’t reach the specs it claims for power and speed. I think they are referring to the production model with 750 watts front 1,000 rear. Your test bike is 500/750 your 500 watts short so I think it will meet the specs claimed. nice! a dual battery dual motor bike that doesn’t look like it was slapped together
Very cool.. Hopefully the production bike even bests this one top speed.
I was with the understanding that to climb hills you need 52 volts butit sounds to me from what you are sating that the motor is for climbing use?
Interesting observation, probably doesn't translate to Ebikes but on an ice engine in a car contrary popular assumption, if in the right gears, getting to speed faster uses less gas for the total trip than easing into speed, there's "throttle losses" associated with restricting fuel delivery
Then the car is most efficient at speed, so the longer you're there the better gas millage more than compensation for the fuel used getting to speed
Also counteractive, going up and down hills hill uses less gas than going straight, the reason there, ice engines are more efficient under load than with no load, even though you burn more gas going up a hill you reap positive dividends coasting down
Thsse details are probably reversed with electric motors, but I don't know, would be interesting finding out
Which one would you buy
Bandit x trail pro or
Rollroad Emma 3.0
I have a TWO wheel drive, two battery dual suspension E-Cells Super Monarch Crown that can do 40 mph on paved road. Better yet it is great in the mountains. Is there any cargo accessories for this E-Bike which is my only concern thinking about buying one for my first bike?
There is a small, and I mean small rear rack you can order with it if you preorder with it.
Who makes the motor's for these? I think any review should say what motor is employed.
To ride these e bikes on British roads, you will have to have it registered with the DVLC ,have a number plate ,have it taxed and probably have it MOT after 3years ,have it insured to make it legal. The police will fine you and you will have points on your licence. It would be classified as a electric motorcycle or moped.
So it's not a simple case of just buying one and setting off for a simple free ride
I think it is the same in Canada.
Looks like competition for the Ariel Rider Grizzly. Is top performance mode locked out, when you get the bike, or is it enabled out of the box? Some manufacturers want you to punch in a special code, or phone them, to access full performance.
