When you said you had finished a half marathon, i felt slapped silly!! So many of us tell ourselves stories, excuses. Your perspective was refreshing. Just do it. What excuses have I been telling myself I have to look at my goals and own them or eliminate them. Thanks for opening my eyes. I saw this quote once - that goes something like… it’s easy once we figure out it’s not hard.

She seems like she'd be a great friend. As someone with some turmoil in my mind, and I was just born this way it seems (though it's gotten a lot better in recent years) I admire her positivity and attitude to life.
This was a great interview. I sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable when Chris interviews an adult of typical cognitive abilities with the same childlike demeanor that he uses to address a child or an adult who is more responsive to that childlike approach. It reminds me of when we speak more loudly to someone of typical hearing ability who simply speaks a different language. Having said that, Chris is an expert on these interactions, and I am in awe of his work.
That was the first thing that jumped out at me. She obviously has a normal or possibly above average IQ. Also asking about someone's life expectancy in such blunt terms without any leading questions is really rude. She might be smarter than he is. Lol.
Sometimes I wish I could be like her, skiing and ice skating. I have to stay home a lot. I have learned that being at home is okay, because that’s the reality of my disability. I think I am still living a life and it’s a good one.
I'm 28 years old and I was born with miller's syndrome I'd love to meet her and just get to know one another learn from each other she's wonderful
