A thought I had was copper leaf could be used and engine turned leaving one or both busbars as its own detail. (one busbar could be wider if needed for this detail) I don't know how well that would work as a continuous conductive strip. I'm sure the painted copper strip could be applied thick enough to engine turn. Something worth investigating for me if I choose to add this to my car.
Im watching this in preparation for trying this system out for a client. Im half regretting accepting to try it out. Lots of potential ways to trip you up....
Do you guys make lumilor for the clothing and shoe market? If not you should because people like my son who make custom shoes and clothing it would be next level and it's a huge market. Very cool product guys
Couple quick questions....😁 I know the minimum space between the backplane and busbar is 1/8 inch... is there a maximum space recommend between them? Something that should not be exceeded... Secondly, is there a maximum amount of surface area that can be lit up with LumiLor? Or is it all about the inverters and the load they can carry? Thanks in advance!! Cheers and Much Love from the BloodShot Studio!!🤘😎🍻
i have already started a autobody repair shop its not working yet .it lacks alittle more funding. really wanted to do this course and start my work shop soon

You may want to correct @ 19:34 - a reading of 0.0 ohms on a multimeter signifies a direct short while OL indicates open..... you are showing a correct reading in the meter - OL, but in the annotation you say "0.0 indicates no direct short...." Just saying.....LOL
An important first step is to put on rubber gloves and wear them throughout the entire process... Both for your protection and to protect LumiLor from your succulently supple meaty appendages.

Do you know the legalities of the different colors. I know in some states people who put different cosmetic lighting to their car will get pulled over as the colors are not highway correct. IE red lights in the front of the car. It seems some of the colors are safe anywhere but wonder about blue, red and orange (blue because of emergency vehicles.)
You lost me at the :20 second mark. Who designed your light bulb animation? Is that really how you think it works? I know... I'm being too critical. My apologies. I simply could not resist. Can you offer some pricing for 48039 area code? I'd like to try this out and see where it leads. Thanks for sharing.
Right? I laughed hard at that animation. Let's be fair, though -- being accurate would have muddied the demonstration a little ("why are the wires 'disconnected'?"), and that's exactly how we represent lightbulbs in circuit diagrams.

maybe, because you need to have voltage around it to light up if im correct, so you need to have those two conductive layers around it to light up but im not sure if you have the skills to make those conductive layers on the other side i think it can be possible but you would need a really skilled painter with a lot of patience and skill with for example mini figures painting, it would cost a ton and a lot of time but its possible
Hei Lumilor, Love your work and stuff!!! best technology! I have a question, for example, I own a camera is there a possibility to do lumination on the camera body?
Woow, HUGE mistake at 19:32. The text says that "A multimeter reading of 0.0 indicates there is no direct short between the busbar and the backplane". This is quite the opposite! 0.0 Ohm is definitely a short. The meter shown has 'O.L' on the display. This stands for OverLoad. This is the value you want to see.

I was thinking the same thing. Applied Science has a video on this, he incorporates an adafruit microcontroller of some kind to program the behavior, not that you would need to go to those extremes, but he covers a few points that aren't included here about what it could do. It would certainly be possible to put it on a guitar, but, will it shock, cause interference with the pickups, ? There's also whether or not you intend to have active effects in your build, room is a consideration, and if you have a programmed display, the chip running it will get hot, which will effect the stability of the instrument and potentially be a fire hazard. Maybe one could use an active boost effect and configure it in such a way that signal generated by the pickups activates the light, causing the lighting effect to correspond with the noise envelope, and the active boost counteracts some of the loss?
this product is incredible but dang is it time consuming, i cant imagine how many connections you'd have for an entire car. and the time it would take to do something like that. Incredible? Yes, Practical for entire vehicle application? Not really...
