    As a truck driver I like the idea of road signs. Old road signs sometimes used mirrored glass beads to increase visibility. Then they started using retroreflective lettering, which was better than ever directed lamps. But now the whole sign is retroreflective. That's fine if your vehicle has filament bulbs, but LED headlights reflect too much light making fog and snow even harder to see trough. And, those message signs are OK, unless they're set to the wrong light level.

      We like the idea of road signs as well lit with LumiLor Paint!
      What you are seeing with the paint is a frequency that is being emitted. This frequency is responsible for giving the color its hue tone and not brightness. The brightness is controlled with the voltage. The more voltage you put to the paint the brighter it will appear, but due to phosphor particles we use that flood the area and are not concentrated in a pin point the brightness is more like a vibrancy which will appear more neon like.
      With an LED pin point diode that is where you get blinded is with its concentrated beam.
      The LumiLor Paint will give a soft glow on the road signs which is easy on the eyes no matter how far or how close you are to it.
      Thanks!

    • @_paint_with_light

      Absolutely, give it a try!
      Get it here-> www.LumiLorPaint.com
      Just make sure to prime and clear those panels first to insulate the aluminum from the LumiLor Paint system.
      Good Luck!

    This is amazing! How long will the paint luminescence last? Do you think it could work for a mural?

    • @_paint_with_light
      @_paint_with_light  Год назад

      Sorry for late reply, the light only goes burns when lit and it can stay lit for 50,000hours before it dims half as bright.
      Yes murals are great to use this for. You can plug directly into wall power since it’s already Alternating Current, no inverters. 👍

      @@_paint_with_light Yes possible but will you do it because that would be awesome if the average person could print out their own custom light up signs without having to pay thousands of dollars for specialized equipment. You would have allot of customers all over the world outside of painting cars.

  • @myoung99wood

    Is the base layer positive charged or connected to the voltage source?? This would mean that you need and insulating layer between the panel so it does not go to ground. is the voltage applied to the top layer?
    I would be careful against making claims about safety related issues like painting doorways or signs and saying that you can see them at longer distances unless this has been tested. It is common practice to use light diffusers over top of LED or other lamps to create a diffuse look that this product creates. I would argue that this product is in fact less bright then LED but is cool because you can paint it on a complex shaped surface to create a custom effect after the fact.
    Fog lights on a car are specifically mounted down low and are focused so as not to create as much reflection of light while a wide diffuse source of light would be terrible at distance because of the reflection of the fog.
    I think that this product is great for custom signs and cool applications but you may want to reconsider your claims about its ability to cut through fog or be used in specific safety situations where the air is not clear.

      All good questions and concerns here!
      Yes, the base layer and the top layer both carry the Alternating Current.
      Yes, we do insulate the substrate if it is made of conductive materials. The Alternating Current will transfer to the substrate from the paint if it is conductive and if there is poor insulation between the lit paint and the conductive substrate.
      The paint is a form of Electroluminescence which is a 50 year old technology. The claims we are making for distances and visual representations in the video are based off of scientific Electroluminescent properties that can be researched. The brightness differences from Electroluminescence to an LED can also be researched.
      Thank you and if you have anymore questions or concerns please let us know!

    • @_paint_with_light
      @_paint_with_light  2 года назад

      Absolutely Ron!
      You can light up your drones and RC cars. You will need at least 9V to power the inverters. The system is voltage dependent so if you can have 12V available then your light will be brighter!
      We specialize in video training and can create a video tutorial for you on an RC car or drone if needed but we don’t sell the paint anymore.

    On a car application can the suns UV damage the lumilor paint like it can automotive paint?

    • @_paint_with_light
      @_paint_with_light  3 года назад +2

      Great question!
      Each LumiLor Paint application needs to be encapsulated with UV protectant clear. Just like the automotive paint that fades is due to the clear coat not having the UV protectant.
      If it’s not cleared with UV protectant clear it will break down quicker and get to the “half life” quicker.
      Just make sure it’s cleared with UV protectant clear!

      The system is powered with Alternating Current with two wires.
      One wire is connected to the backplane and the other wire is connected to the Bus Bar.
      Those two wires are then connected to an electrical system that runs AC. Most of the time it’s powered with an AC inverter from a DC system.

    • @_paint_with_light
      @_paint_with_light  Год назад

      @@gatekeeperoffroad it all depends on the type of substrate.
      If plastic you can drill trough the substrate and have your wire poke through from the backside to connect to your points.
      If metal or any other conductive surface when drilling through drill a bit larger than wire size and fill will resin. Then drill smaller hole in resin and pass wire through. The resin helps with insulation for when the wire passes through the conductive substrate to connect to your points. 👍
