All good questions and concerns here! Yes, the base layer and the top layer both carry the Alternating Current. Yes, we do insulate the substrate if it is made of conductive materials. The Alternating Current will transfer to the substrate from the paint if it is conductive and if there is poor insulation between the lit paint and the conductive substrate. The paint is a form of Electroluminescence which is a 50 year old technology. The claims we are making for distances and visual representations in the video are based off of scientific Electroluminescent properties that can be researched. No you need to clear coat all the layers after you light panel. You then add your matching color of the car over the clear coated lit area. 👍

Sorry for late reply, the light only goes burns when lit and it can stay lit for 50,000hours before it dims half as bright. Yes murals are great to use this for. You can plug directly into wall power since it’s already Alternating Current, no inverters. 👍

Yes, it is all possible if you have experience with automotive spray equipment.

Absolutely Ron! You can light up your drones and RC cars. You will need at least 9V to power the inverters. The system is voltage dependent so if you can have 12V available then your light will be brighter! We specialize in video training and can create a video tutorial for you on an RC car or drone if needed but we don’t sell the paint anymore.

Things like... the best ways to lay them out, time saving methods for spraying the Dielectric and Lumicolor over multiple fields of light. How to busbar and spray CTC when using multiple fields. And lastly any information on using multiple inverters to create separate fields on one piece that light up individually would be greatly appreciated. .... .. . @@BloodShotAirbrushing All great questions! We will work on getting together a vid for multiple fields, but to help you out now.. It does not matter how many fields you have, the inverter principles still stay in place. Small inverter powers 1 sqft and Large inverter powers 2 sq ft. You can have 100 tiny pixels that fit into 1 square foot and all you will need is one small inverter. Depending on layout and how close those fields are together you can use one single bus bar to power all your fields that fit into 1sqft or 2 sq ft as well. That single bus bar now becomes the “common” amongst all lit fields and all backplanes having their own independent connection will allow for independent controlling. THIS IS ONLY IF YOU HAVE AN AC CONTROLLER. Second part is having a proper controller. We do have a controller board that we call the LumiBoard that we have created equipped with 12 field output with the possibility of having 4 inverters of any size and each board is infinite stackable, so however many fields is no problem. All the videos of our animation, sequencing and other next level work is all done with our programmable LumiBoards. Last but not least you can use an arduino board which is DC OUTPUT but that now means you will need an inverter for each fields because it still needs an AC signal. This is the most common way but if you’re looking to step up your game and do crazy animations or sequencing then you will need an AC controller and not an arduino. This saves from having 100 inverters connected and you can write any code to make any animation. Makes sense?? Thanks again!

Yes, Steven. Each one of those segments or fields needs to be wired individually to be triggered separately.

Great question! Each LumiLor Paint application needs to be encapsulated with UV protectant clear. Just like the automotive paint that fades is due to the clear coat not having the UV protectant. If it’s not cleared with UV protectant clear it will break down quicker and get to the “half life” quicker. Just make sure it’s cleared with UV protectant clear!

The system is powered with Alternating Current with two wires. One wire is connected to the backplane and the other wire is connected to the Bus Bar. Those two wires are then connected to an electrical system that runs AC. Most of the time it’s powered with an AC inverter from a DC system.

@@gatekeeperoffroad it all depends on the type of substrate. If plastic you can drill trough the substrate and have your wire poke through from the backside to connect to your points. If metal or any other conductive surface when drilling through drill a bit larger than wire size and fill will resin. Then drill smaller hole in resin and pass wire through. The resin helps with insulation for when the wire passes through the conductive substrate to connect to your points. 👍

We like the idea of road signs as well lit with LumiLor Paint! What you are seeing with the paint is a frequency that is being emitted. This frequency is responsible for giving the color its hue tone and not brightness. The brightness is controlled with the voltage. The more voltage you put to the paint the brighter it will appear, but due to phosphor particles we use that flood the area and are not concentrated in a pin point the brightness is more like a vibrancy which will appear more neon like. With an LED pin point diode that is where you get blinded is with its concentrated beam. The LumiLor Paint will give a soft glow on the road signs which is easy on the eyes no matter how far or how close you are to it. Thanks!

Training for this is possible but will need a strong commitment and years of learning. Comparable example is that in order to have a career or profession you will need to have higher level of education completed first.
