(Just A quick note, I am Australian who live is Australia) I don't understand why people get so upset when AH gets political on off topic. the entire premise of the podcast is members of AH and other RT related people having off topic conversations similar to those you have with people in bars or other social venues. Whether you like it or not, the state of American politics is a very popular topic of conversations right now. It is only logical that they would talk about it, especially in their case where they are based is very left leaning city that is in a very right leaning state. That is basically what Austin is known for, one of the main reason Austin is considered a 'weird' city is because of it's political leanings. As for those who are annoyed or aggravated because of their political view, welcome to politics, where there is a spectrum of different views and beliefs from people who genuinely believe that their should be no form of organised government to alt-right homosexuals. The important things is not to actively support or cause physical violence towards someone based on they fact their personal values and beliefs don't line up with yours. I personally support the Australian Green Party because the green party's policies are the ones that I feel are the most morally right. But when Trump was elected, several key members of the green part actively supported and encouraged assaults on trump supporter. I openly condemned them for doing so and I am considering voting for a different during the next Australian Election. But that is just my opinion on the matter and I acknowledge that there are people who think differently on the topic. AH is allowed to liberal because you are allowed to be republican, what is important is to tolerant to those who have different values and beliefs, and to condemn those is promote violence based on political differences.
"I support the green party" Oh, so you are a uni student with no concept of supply and demand? Yes, lets just open up mass immigration while opposing any sort of additional housing development because it "hurts the environment", the Greens' influence on politics down in Melbourne has turned it from one of the worlds best cities to one rife with homelessness with house prices spiralling out of control and a massive rise in crime, especially through immigrant gangs like Apex. That's the problem with the Greens and their supporters; too preoccupied with claiming moral superiority to notice that their ideas run cities and countries into the ground. After all it doesn't matter if everyone is miserable and everything has gone to shit; at least you didn't offend anyone and that's what counts, right?
I should have been more clear, I meant to say supported certain ideals of the Green Party. I believe in marriage equality and that we need to focus on clean energy. But I fully agree that their stances on immigration and housing development are outlandish and far too short sighted to be sustainable. You are right that I am young, I left uni about two years ago and I have only recently discovered the havoc that the Green Parties PC ideals have caused on Australia. I am fully against political correctness and censorship in all it's forms (Australia would not be Australia if you weren't allowed to go up to a stranger and call them a fucking cunt.). I regret my decision to support them in the past , but there is nothing I can do now but ensure that I have a superior understanding of the full implications that political policies have.
Yo Xarx3s I am pretty sure you just kind of made Jack Hogan's point exactly. Jackie boy had this whole thing about how strange it is to get mad or frustrated about people talking about politics. He only mentioned the Greens in an example of how he isn't blindly loyal to the people he supports, that was a very small part of his whole point but you've sort of latched onto the words "Australian Green Party" and gone off at him for it, completely ignoring the rest and disregarding the point. Tone is very hard to tell through text of course, but your harsh sarcasm seems aggressive, and it would seem as if you are frustrated by this. Exactly Jack Hogan's point.
Accidental Entertainment people are so ready to jump on others for political beliefs or even their age. People outrage about outrage culture and it's just a never-ending loop of people hating each other for no good reason. Being honest imo a lot of liberals follow stuff based on what makes people happy and not what's actually viable (in other words theyre ignorant to the real world) and right leaning people are fighting against new ideas and thoughts because they're too focused on the past and their pockets.
Jack Hogan I completely agree. My family knows I've been Green since I was able to vote, but the moment they condoned such violent behavior, I wanted to dissociate myself from them.
Meh, screw the comments. I like Greg miller, and I found the movie talk in this Off Topic to be fairly enjoyable. I've already re-watched it like 3 times.
Jack's Ghostbusters script suggestion it's probably one of the best idea I've heard in a long time. I hope someone important is listening because that would the awesome. Multiverse FTW!
Yes Trevor!! It makes me so happy whenever Trevor is in content!! He's great. Loved this episode, had my top three Achievement Hunter people in it. So good.
The talk of recording difficulties makes me feel really at home. My friends and I, like a lot of the AH community, make our own videos and we do it like Achievement Hunter (multiple mics, multiple screens being captured, all in one place, ect) and *MY GOD* nothing breaks my heart more than the problems they describe, like losing audio or footage from a GOLDEN video. It is strangely comforting to know that even the "pros" like Achievement Hunter have the same issues and the same conversations that my friends and I have in our shanty-ass portable recording studio setup
Can i just say the kid who had "bagpipes" for Ireland in Its A Small World probably had uilleann pipes instead as those are Irish and bagpipes are Scottish.
I didn't even know Jesse Eisenburg was supposed to be Lex Luthor until halfway through the movie. They kept mentioning lexcorp, but Lex was nowhere to be found. Then it clicked that Eisenburg was supposed to be Lex and I just couldn't give any more fucks at that point.
What he forgot to say about the Falcon Heavy is that it's literally three Falcon 9's strapped together, _and two of them split off and land again close to the launch site._ (The third one lands on a barge.)
I feel really bad for Greg. he is such a nice and funny guy and he does not deserve all this hate. he's my 2nd favorite group of the LP family. first being of course funhaus.
sooo...if anybody's interested, the Japanese TV show that Ryan was on is called "Why did you come to Japan" (YOUは何しに日本へ). Basically it's just a camera crew interviewing foreigners in an airport. If they seem interesting, the camera crew follows them around Japan. You can find episodes on RUclips; maybe we'll get to see Ryan's episode.
I'm really quite happy that AH brought Greg Miller on this podcast, because without him I wouldn't have seen a comment section that mentioned Colin Moriarty, a man who I knew nothing about before today and is making a series on politics and history that hopefully I will enjoy very much.
As someone who's known Greg and Colin since Podcast Beyond, Colin has always had strong political opinions, Greg has always been friends with Colin and pretty sure it hurt to see him leave. They've been through the thick and thin from Greg diagnosed with cancer to leaving and starting KF. If you haven't been around and them or seen how they interact over the past decade, calling Greg disloyal is because of your own ignorance.
Last week Gavin talked about Aviation stuff, i've been watching Air Crash Investigation the entire time since and now they're talking about it again haha
this is the first time I've ever had to stop a podcast and listen to music while out. like an hour straight of just talking about superhero movies holy fuck
Jack, I'm writing a paper on the potential dangers of automated aircraft, the most dangerous part is the pilot, they rely too heavily on automation, that when something does go wrong, the pilot doesn't know how to react and the result is often fatal. But we need pilots in there now because none of the systems are robust enough to function with even 90% reliability, but once the system is perfect, then aircraft will be fully automated. For now, we still need to worry about pitot tubes freezing over, which is the Air France flight y'all were talking about, and other system failures that would wipe out the automated aircrafts ability to function properly. And Jeremy, hate to break it to you, but many large airliners can land themselves. Sorry, I'm a super nerd when it comes to aviation.
Is there any evidence that Greg wanted Colin to leave? because, from what I've seen at least, he seemed pretty sad about it, and Colin seems pretty much okay. My understanding was it was more that Colin and the KF guys just had different goals/wanted to pursue different things.
Kayla Block Colin obviously wanted to get into politics, and this tweet controversy seemed manufactured to me. It's like he was just trying to get his name out there and get some traction before his pivot to politics.
Well that's what they SAID happened, but that's way too boring for a lot of people, so they make up dramatic stories. God forbid we take them by their word. :P
WOW! I'm in high school and mt marching band played "Soul Man" as our parade tune! I refuse to believe that other high school students don't know the Blues Brothers.
Trevor's thought of the bumper to bumper traffic fully automated is something I thought about when I was like 5... "Why don't we just put all the vehicles on rails, and have ways to input when people need over for turns etc" so yeh... It is a legit idea, and a good thought... but being able to pull it off? In a monetary stand point... expensive as sin. In the human eye stand point? Well... that brings it to the individual and that can be bad in any number of ways.
I'm on Ryan and Jack's side of the PC/Console thing but Trevor has the best statement. I think PC is better than console but that's my opinion because they each have their own pros/cons and I like PCs pros and can deal with its cons more than I can a console's. Plus the argument of having to update and troubleshoot PCs constantly means they're doing something wrong. I only have to update once a month at most, the only thing I do often is anti-virus scans.
believe it or not, there are planes that can take off and land without human intervention, but Trevor is right about people wanting an actual human taking off and landing for peace of mind
The comments seem vicious to someone who has no idea what happened with Greg. But I'm just happy these guys are still making content. I've never understood the hate for people like Trevor, Jeremy, or even Jack. They're all smiling and having a good time. People need to chill the hell out
Thought it might be interesting to mention that most take offs and landings of planes are actually done on auto-pilot. In fact, most of the time if you feel like a take off or landing was kinda rough, it's probably because the pilot had to do the landing/take-off because pilots are required to do a take off or landing every once in a while so they don't become out of practice. Nowadays, for the most part, pilots are more there for safety reasons as a back up. I am exaggerating a bit, but this is true for the most part. There are even considerations being made with regard to flying vehicles like cargo planes completely autonomously. The main hinderence at the moment is that the laws are still being figured out and written to figure out how to handle this legally.

When Jeremy said he could play trumpet, I saw Jack's face light up like he's one step closer to achieving his dream of turning AH into a ska band.
(Just A quick note, I am Australian who live is Australia)

Meh, screw the comments. I like Greg miller, and I found the movie talk in this Off Topic to be fairly enjoyable. I've already re-watched it like 3 times.
I love Greg's passion when he talks about movies.
the fact that Jeremy refers to Bucky as Bucky and not the Winter Soldier makes me so happy
Jack pulling that sword out and smiling was genuinely frightening. Off Topic's Last Call is gonna be grim as hell.
I liked it when Trevor became more lively once they brought science into the mix. He became more intrigued.
I love every time they randomly cut to Jeremy and he just hams it up. What a treasure
*sees Greg Miller In Thumbnail*... Oh god
So good.
people acting like Greg is the only person who fired people, RT has done it too

I love how Dad Ryan is building the toy for he kids of Rooster Teeth lol
I love Jack's Occupy Mars shirt, that's frickin' awesome.
EchoMarauder it's pretty good
That beer trophy will never stop bothering me. Please dear God, anyone, rotate that can!

Greg Miller is hilarious, the last off topic he was on I had to watch it 3 or 4 times because I couldn't believe he just ripped the shirt off haha
Greg Miller has such a unique trait. His memory to portray his stories is incomparable and peerless.
I feel really bad for Greg. he is such a nice and funny guy and he does not deserve all this hate. he's my 2nd favorite group of the LP family. first being of course funhaus.

This is my way of finding out the plot of movies I haven't seen
When Jack talks about space, I feel my soul slowly turning into Geoff. Salt of the earth though.
Geez, the gun's bigger than Jeremy.
Ryan has the best ad reading voice.
"screw attack glass? ewwwwwww" SHOTS FIRED
Greg Miller and Kinda Funny are part of the Let's Play community!
favourite bit Jeremy turns to Trevor "have you tried this"
I had no idea that Jack was this interested in Space and space travel. I love it.
I just love when everyone talks about the nerdy little things
45:38 The fuck is that flashing behind Trevor's head? I wonder if that is what Gavin was freaking out about 2 episodes back...
As someone who's known Greg and Colin since Podcast Beyond, Colin has always had strong political opinions, Greg has always been friends with Colin and pretty sure it hurt to see him leave. Drinking game: take a drink every time Jack says an unnecessary "so"
I live near Pittsburgh, the city of bridges, I can only imagine how bad it would be if the bridges collapsed, it being on three major rivers
I Always wondered, everyone asks why is there no Autonomous Planes or Cars, but we dont even trust TRAINS to be automated
There should be a compilation of every time Off Topic says the title of the episode
Jeremy (a short angry man) dual wielding big guns? Jeremy is the gunzerker from borderlands 2 confirmed
this is the first time I've ever had to stop a podcast and listen to music while out. like an hour straight of just talking about superhero movies holy fuck
Wheel of morality spin spin spin, tell us the lesson that we should learn.
Coal? Flynt coal?
Jeremy was in marching band, this makes me so happy. :D
I can't thumbs up knowing Geoff is slowly experiencing death by strap on and no one from RT is filming.
love how Ryan is just Casually Building the Mastadon

Sorry, I'm a super nerd when it comes to aviation.
My college did a "Humans vs Zombie" nerf tag for a week. Ended up by myself with 20 zombies with a Rampage. I survived. Had kill marks on it.
I liked the moral of the story at the end. Thanks for the advice Jeremy.
Ryan's computer only serves THE MAD KING!!!!
From listening to Greg, DC movies seem to suffer from what happened to the Warcraft movie - it only made sense if you already knew the backstory
im 20 and Blues Brothers was one of the greatest films I viewed growing up. That and Flying High
Greg is the heel that this company needs.
I bet the fans would love Mica and Greg in a video together. Have just them playing some game. Haha oh god, reading the comments would be hilarious.
Kayla Block the only one ones that were sad was Nick n kevin, Greg n Tim didn't give af kept going business as usual.
It was rough watching Nick's reactions that day..
Drake and Josh is where I first saw the song from Blues Brothers, but then my uncles and dad sat me down to watch it since I'm from Chicago
YES I fucking love Greg Miller he's just a kinda funny guy y'know?
1:20:46 I got taken on that Alien Breakout ride as a kid and none of my family told me what it was.
Oh boy, I can't wait for the salt in the comments section. No Michael AND Greg is on the podcast? BRING OUT THE POPCORN LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
Well... that brings it to the individual and that can be bad in any number of ways.
idk about you guys but I enjoyed this podcast
I'm on Ryan and Jack's side of the PC/Console thing but Trevor has the best statement. I think PC is better than console but that's my opinion because they each have their own pros/cons and I like PCs pros and can deal with its cons more than I can a console's. believe it or not, there are planes that can take off and land without human intervention, but Trevor is right about people wanting an actual human taking off and landing for peace of mind
Jack freaked me out at 1:01:55 because I had also just made that noise at Jeremy's prediction. XD
The comments seem vicious to someone who has no idea what happened with Greg. But I'm just happy these guys are still making content. I've never understood the hate for people like Trevor, Jeremy, or even Jack. They're all smiling and having a good time. People need to chill the hell out
Jeremy wielding 2 of those big guns? Introducing Jeremy a.k.a Salvador the gunzerker!
This is fantastic, I could listen to Greg and Jack talk about movies for hours, well actually yea thats what I just did. FACT!
Studying for chem exam, and Ryan mentions PVC combustion. Triggered
Ok, not gonna lie, when they were talking about the Blues Brothers at about 58 minutes, I thought they were talking about the Blue Man Group.
Something tells me people did not listen to Colin when he explained that him and Kinda Funny *are still friends*. The whole thing was a shit show, and nobody was attacking anyone specifically. Even Tim Getty's tweet was not what people interpreted. You all seems to forget that Colin *chose* to leave. Can you blame him? He was already drifting away, wanting to focus more on politics rather than games. It's unfortunate, but that is the case. For God's sake, he still *lives* with Greg. Do you think that if this was some sort of betrayal that he would still be there?
Please understand the whole story and its full context before throwing out outright lies about the people involved. I was and am on the side of Colin, as I don't believe he was doing anything wrong with that simple off-hand joke on Women's Day. But antagonizing all of Kinda Funny for something that no one wanted is petty.
Jack, I live in Virginia and work in Maryland, I have a 2 hour commute mostly by train. I pretty much just listen to podcasts (including this one). I do not enjoy the ride because now I'm all caught up and need to find something else to spend my time on.
I see Ryan I Like
while the function is not often used, modern airliner autopilots are sophisticated enough to actually perform all aspects of flight now. the computers are capable of takeoff and landing, though that function is reserved for emergency landings at this point, but as Trevor said, people wouldn't trust the idea of fully computer controlled flights yet, so humans still take the stick
Greg as blues brothers would be great
Jeremy low key looks like Leanord Snart / Captain cold from the Flash with that haircut
Franchise to remake:
The princess bride.
I have 1 thing that would make this acceptable, much like Jack's for ghostbusters.
If Fred Savage plays the role of an older relative (could be a father or an uncle) and reads the book to a kid.
If they cast Duane Johnson in a part, then it'll do well
Oh no. That movie is perfection. I NEVER want to see it be remade.
SanctusEspiritus37 especially by Hollywood I don't trust Hollywood to remake it, someone without agendas and board members maybe but not hollywood
Jeremy looks like when you crack the top off an M&M.
oh hey, it's Greg "fire my "friends"" Miller.
Harry O'Sullivan Collin mad a joke on women's day about how quite the office was, twitter and tumblr screeched autistically about how Collin is sexist and Greg was scum for working with him, and then Collin just happened to choose that time to leave over "creative differences"
Harry O'Sullivan oh nobody is gonna watch kinda funny.
skilledwarman Greg kinda spineless miller
you can fire a cofunder? that's new
Ding rown If there are more than 2 co-founders then it's very easy.
How to solve the DC problem: option 1: give up, option 2: fire Zach Snyder
Chris savage!! love ir
Yess! A Blues Brothers Reference would be awesome
Jeremy with 2 of those would look like gunzerker from borderlands 2 ahahahah
It's funny that people insult the comments bitching about Greg Miller, because if you go to the Kinda Funny reddit, they all hate AH and bitch about RT and AH whenever they're brought up, but because it's reddit and not YT they don't get dismissed as "basement dwelling virgins".
Anyway, this was mostly a meh podcast. Too much movie talk.
Thanks for the free content!
Dude. The alien breakout ride. I went there as a child. I didn't go in because I was scared of it. I was sitting outside waiting for my family and a bird shit on my head. Goddamn it.
honestly can't wait until you guys get here to Tampa!
Trevor wearing glasses looks like he's wearing Groucho Marx glasses.
I truly don't understand the hate against Greg.
Aww man the backlot studio tour was cool.
yess finaly a superhero podcast
Would of been cool if they had Collin on the show
TJ Would have been cool if it was Collin instead of Greg
He isn't really big on this type of content. According to his last GoG that is. He didn't even want to do the merch deal with RT.
Matthew Darragh what gog was that?
