Today I'll be painting Jiji and his kittens from Kiki's Delivery Service. I really enjoyed painting with the jelly gouache and I've been using it a lot. There are lots of beautiful scenes in Studio Ghibli films and this is one of my favourite, probably because I really want a cat 🐱 Let me know if you want to see me paint more Ghibli scenes down below!

Very cute! I got my jelly gouache today and im struggling LOL im used to watercolor so much but i want to try to incorporate it into my practice because i just layer watercolor over n over. i feel like gouache might help speed up the process a bit if i can figure it out. ty for the cute video!
Thanks! 💕 I think in time you'll get the hang of it, I'm still trying to get use to gouache too. I love that it's as fluid as watercolour but can be opaque like a matte acrylic. Like forreal I'm starting to like gouache more now hahaha
If you need any tips, which I'm sure you don't. You should layer them up as well. If you have a blend-y kind of artstyle then you'll have a blast with these!

@@pinkcupcake16348 So I found this out recently and it blew my mind... In the american version Jiji talks to her again at the end, but in the japanese version they can no longer communicate :(

I just realized I have the same clips as you, how do you prevent them from leaving marks on your sketchbook and paper? Also I looove ur painting btw ☺️

This is beautiful and a great idea of a scene to paint! I think my favourite scene of Kiki's Delivery Service is when Kiki is watching the sea with Tombo or when she flies over green fields.
