For anyone wondering, if you need to replace the bulbs for the buttons in the HVAC controls (NOT THE DIALS), the OEM part number for those bulbs specifically is 79505-SNA-A01. Took me awhile to find out what the OEM part number was.
@@torque6389 You’re very welcome! I love to help others when it comes to finding the right information about their Hondas. UPDATE: If you’re looking to replace the bulbs that go inside of the AC dials that control the temperature and speed, the OEM part number for those is 79506-SNA-A01. Hope this helps someone 👍
What I learned...is that although I am very handy...after seeing the number of steps in this video...I will just leave those three little light bulbs dead...I have memorized them anyway. Clear video and instructions. Thank you!
Wow! Yes, I did learn a lot from you. I learned that you are very talented and patient. But this 66 year old woman decided that there are just too many steps for me to do. I think I’ll just live with half the lights being out. However, I will attempt to change the shifter bulb on my 2009 Honda Civic. 😀That seems much easier for me. Thank you anyway.
buttons on my radio,ac controls are not lighting up when I turn on my headlights but bulb looks good (including steering controls and headlight levels lights also not working) do we have any separate fuse for these light ?
Hey great video! I was just wondering which bulbs light up which buttons on the HVAC controls? A diagram would be helpful because I don’t want to buy too little or too many bulbs 😅. Thanks
My buttons on my radio are not lighting up when I turn on my lights is that one bulb that illuminates all the buttons or is it a bunch of them and do I get in the same way if you can please help thanks
Thanks for the video, at 5;20 this back cover don't need to remove to replace 7 bulbs, it's holes there already. but I don't know where are the green bulbs ,the one on top of each button ?
Hi Dani, when I remove the radio I see tath it has an airbag connector, a hazard switch and at the top it only has three connectors and I see 4 inputs, it is normal, it is a 2008 civic coupe ex

I’ll be addressing this problem in a video soon, can you send me a short video of what is going on, send it to dannysdiygarage@gmail.com

It makes it easier to reinstall if you remove that cover @5:25 I’m all about making things easier 👍🏼
@dannysdiygarage Yes, aftermarket bulbs are hard to turn .😅
I actually replaced all the lights on the radio and HVAC with LEDs (soldered, not the twist ones). There's a big thread on 8thcivic.
Thanks for that additional information 👍🏼
The top panel does not light up for me anymore (buttons 1-6) How would I fix that?
Can you explain this a little better, please add a picture or a short video of the issue you’re having, email me at dannysdiygarage@gmail.com
Mine is doing that same thing once in a blue moon they come on mine is an 08 civic lx coupe, it's in my numerical radio buttons..
ok what about the light for the radio station and clock
That’s probably in the radio itself, time to upgrade
My bulbs light up but once in a blue moon i might have a short somewhere?
update this thread if you fix it

If they're all not working, does that mean the fuse is bad?
They could also be all bad
True...just strange that they'd all decide to go at the same time.
There’s some then not working. It’s mean I need to change the bulbs or the fuses
What are the bulbs size?
