For the daughter to understand that her mother didn't kill her father and then herself means she can trust her original feelings about her parents, not the stories that people tell her about her parents. It would change everything for her.
True, but Kamilla's not wrong: it also creates questions about why they were killed and by whom (i.e. who had directed the mysterious assassin who just visited her room).
@@bigdream_dreambig It was Conklin and Abbott who directed Bourne to kill Neski in an off the record mission which is why the mission wasn't listed on the files, which is why Nicky didn't know.
They nailed all 3 of them, which seems pretty hard for this type of genre. To keep the mystery going and tying in all of the plot points along the way, was so well done
I believe that the origin of Jason's decision to tell the girl the truth about the circumstances of her parents' death is meant to be ambigous on purpose. In part, he definitely did that for himself, in order to try to atone (we know this from a line in the next movie in the series) , but I agree that it wasn't just for himself. To an extent he is clearly projecting his own feelings about the death of Marie onto Vladimir Nevski's daughter.
I LOVE this movie! (It is my favorite movie in the trilogy) I does a wonderful job of showing how smart Borne is, gives Julia Stiles more opportunities to show off her acting skills, and pretty much everything (except the shaky cam) is great! No. Telling the "Neski girl" what REALLY happened was for HER benefit. Now she no longer carries the pain of HATING her Mother for taking her father from her. She still lost her parents, but NOW her memory of loving parents is no longer poisoned by why everyone TOLD her & she can TRULY start to heal.
I live in Missouri. David Webb is from Nixa, Missouri and someone spent money on a nice metal sign that read "Home of David Webb" and attached it to the Population sign when entering town, The Missouri Department of Transportation finally got wind of it and took it down. Missed opportunity to hype the town.
My parents died when I was young. Knowing how they died is... just necessary for me to function. I need to know they were good people. I need to know they didn't suffer. And I NEED to know if there was anything I could have done to help them avoid what happened to them. That it wasn't my fault.
I think the Neski girl is better off knowing her mom didn't kill her dad. She's still in the same situation, but at least she can remember her parents with respect and mourn them without the complication that the cover story presented. She now knows It was a situation out of their control. Terribly sad and unfortunate, but neither is to blame.
Jason facing the daughter and revealing to her how her parents died is parallel to how Jason himself had been manipulated and lied to. The whole movie is Jason reacting to Marie's death, such was the impact.
The actress who played the Neski daughter starred in a movie worth watching called Lilya 4-ever. Warning though, it's very sad & will break your heart. I can't really decide which Bourne I like the most, they are all great movies. Looking forward to your reaction to the final chapter.
Such a great movie. Parts of it were filmed in my home country Estonia and even starred a few Estonian actors. They also nailed the 90's lawless/bleak atmosphere very well.
The Bourne Legacy is quite good, even if it seems to be not that much liked. It doesn't have Matt Damon, it is about a similar agent played by Jeremy Renner. It has Rachel Weisz too. The scene where they are about to make it look like she did herself in, and Jeremy comes to the rescue, is super good! Very much a "If you want to live, come with me" thing!
I honestly love a three films. If I HAD to choose one, I'd choose this (second) one. Mostly for the start (with Marie) and the ending (with the daughter).
In the novel, Marie does not die... that's my only disapointment with this adaptation, but besides that, the whole Bourne saga is amazing. Great reaction!
The music/soundtrack in this film is beautiful. In my opinion The Bourne Supremacy is the greatest film of all time. I hope you continue watching up until the latest film which was in 2016 😊
Another Matt Damon film I enjoyed, but is a little niche, is Ad Astra, a psychological thriller where an astronaut has to travel to the edge of our solar system.
The actress who played Marie spent like two years, knowing that Marie dies early on. She went on the promotional tour like she was a major player in the film. They even listed her in the opening credits like a main character. And she couldn’t say anything.
Julia Stiles, who plays Nikki, is wonderful. She is also wonderful in Ten Things I Hate About You. It is Shakespeare, Taming of the Shrew, but set in US high school. Julia is of course Kat. I love how she is introduced, during the opening credits. She drives an old beat up car, and has Joan Jett playing, I Don't Care About My Reputation. And the dirty look she gives the girls in the other car. And it has Heath Ledger as bad boy Patrick!
My favorite moments in the second and third movies is when Jason is talking on the phone to someone, and they think they're being clever trying to hide information or lie to him, and he throws it right back in their face that he knows they are lying.
After you watch the last in the trilogy, have to watch “The Bourne Legacy” with Jeremy Renner. He plays another treadstone agent, not Bourne so it’s not actually a Bourne movie. But it’s still pretty good and is tied to these movies. It’s definitely worth watching. Great reaction as always.
Jeremy Renner's character Aaron is an operative of project Outcome, a similar but enhanced program to Treadstone & Blackbriar but under the DOD not CIA.
Good to see you followed up on this. It's a great sequel in the trilogy. Just to clear things up a little, Bourne didn't leave his gun with Abbot. Bourne had a tape recorder as his "gun" to the back of Abbot's head. Abbot had his own gun to kill himself. I do think that Bourne did go see the daughter for himself and partially for her sake as she will find out what really happened when the news breaks with the political assassination being uncovered.
this is the thing about movies they always show good action but in real life as a spy or a tear 1 opperator you dont want to leave any trace that you have been there you have to be a ghost

I like the first one better. The Ward character had sloppy dialogue who was played by Brian Cox the spokesman for Mc D. (Badaa bump bumpaa). The assassin played by Karl Urban is awesome as Bones on the Star Trek movies!! Great Reaction!! I recommend all 5 though #4 is without Matt it's still ok as a movie 🍿🎥 Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
Brian Cox; A classically trained Shakespearean actor with numerous great roles to his credit including Logan Roy from Succession and you refer to him as the "spokesman for Mc D" 😂😢 wow.
I like all of the first 3 in this franchise best, and my favourite is the 3rd one. The 4th was okay, but I am not a fan of the 5th, as it felt like a rehash with little new.
Jason Bourne is just an alias (like John Michael Kane in the previous film), a cover identity for his real name David Webb. He was a member of Delta Force, the US military's most elite and top tier counter-terrorism & hostage rescue unit, and was recruited into the Treadstone program. Though u could be right that revealing the truth about her parents' deaths could be more for Jason, likely a way for him to atone his mistakes, I'd say it is equally much for the daughter as well. He wanted to relieve the daughter from the burden of lies on her shoulder by simply telling her the truth and not wanting her to continue to live a miserable life accepting what others told her about her parents. I'd also say this film is better than the previous one. The next film, Bourne Ultimatum, is a better one, in fact I'd say the best one in the entire franchise, with cooler fighting scenes and choreography.
nice reaction. By Jason confessing to the girl that he murdered his parents is supposed to give the girl closure. All she was told was that her mother killed her father. That's suppose to be a horrible thing to know about your own mother. At least now she knows the real facts.
@@bigdream_dreambig The 5th one is pretty forgettable but the one with Jeremy Renner is actually a good movie that gives a little more depth to Treadstone/Blackbriar. It mostly got poor review for not being a Jason Bourne movie.
If you haven't already reacted to "Good Will Hunting" starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and the legendary Robin Williams. I highly recommend that you do.
It doesn't matter that she (the daughter) doesn't know the story behind it, is not that who is important: if it's not your mother who killed your father and then committed suicide but a pro killer, that's something to know (it's better for "you"). You need to know that your mother didn't go crazy and (first of all) that didn't choose to leave you.
I enjoyed the first movie, The Bourne Identity, the most. The second one, this one, kind of annoyed me with all the chase scenes. Thanks for editing them out. The third was even worse for chases. They get old fast, so yeah I'm pretty much over them.
Looking as beautiful as ever 💕 Each 3 are better than before, wait until action in 3rd! Then movie Jason Bourne, years after 3rd, him and Nicki are older, different ones in charge, so good movie but not as good as the 3. But worth seeing. Now watch the 3 of The Equalizer same thing, each one is better. Denzel is awesome.
The Bourne Legacy is the best. It is set at the same time as The Bourne Ultimatum, and integrates scenes from Ulitimatum into Legacy. It stars Jeremy Renner and it has more of a story, and involves further iterations of the evolution of these programs. The camera operator isn't high on meth as he is in the Damon films.

You can tell a difference in her as she looks at the picture at the end of the scene.
They nailed all 3 of them, which seems pretty hard for this type of genre. To keep the mystery going and tying in all of the plot points along the way, was so well done
30:45 I disagree. It wasn't just for Jason. The girl now knows that her mother didn't kill her father. And then kill herself. That's HUGE.
