God, I love this show so damn much. And I'm thankful for you that I get to re-watch it. There are so many reaction channels but Orphan Black has very few, and you get it. Your tears were mine years ago when I watched this amazing show week to week, year to year. When Tatiana Maslany won the emmy for best leading actress for this season I was so suprised I cried. I never expected her to win with this show being so on the fringe. But my lord, how deserving it was. One woman playing so many characters, all different, all fleshed out, all either amazing or shitty. I can only imagine how much work she put in. From make up, styling, accents...to portray these many characters and have us, the audience, almost forget that it is the same woman playing them all. Incredible. Tatiana is incredible.

Sent me down the rabbit hole. I feel sorry for people who don't know about this show. And also I must say, and I've been restraing myself from it for a long time, I love your opening credits dance.

"You are s*** mother" I LOVE how much Helena has learned to care for her sestras and brothers (she may be the only one who feels what the brothers have gone through! ) Helena will always be my favorite clone!

Only upside to Gracie and Mark is that they didn't have to grieve for each other. Such an intense episode. I have big love for all of the sestras (except Rachel but kudos Tatiana for making her so completely different) but especially for Helena. I love it when Sarah calls her meathead, too. Still blows my mind the sestras are all portrayed by just one actress - their scenes together feel so real, lol.

If you think about it. Originally the Leda genes came from Ms. S's mother. So by splitting her Chimera genes, Sarah is the stepmother to Ms S. Which would make Kiera, Ms. S's half sister. Imagine if your daughter was the genetic copy of your mother. Strange times.

I've always felt robbed that we didn't get to see Sarah finding S's body, too. Or any kind of immediate or overly emotional reaction. Their relationship was by far my favorite on the show and it was developed so well, but they really dropped the ball in the last two episodes when it came to respecting that relationship. One of the only up sides to a character you love dying is getting to see the other characters grieve so you can see just how loved they were, and it feels like we were totally denied that with Siobhan and her death was glossed over. I really thought they were building up to Sarah breaking down about it with the way Cosima and Alison talked about how Sarah hadn't even cried yet, only for it to lead to nothing :/ Justice for Mrs. S!
EXACTLY. I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! I know they were running out of screen time but it seems like a crime. We should have seen Sarah find her.
Great reaction, Kelsea. You needed to see them grieve over the body so you could grieve for Ms. S. It's understandable to me.

So, the reason they didn’t use the same actress as Charlotte is that they wanted to show Helena at a younger age than she could play at that point. They also wanted someone that was able to pull off Ukrainian and capture Helena’s ferocity and I think the actress they chose did a fantastic job! Also, it’s such a small moment in a crazy episode, but Al-Khatib saying he didn’t know where they’d taken the science and Rachel correcting him with “Her name is Helena” is such a great moment for her character and shows how far she has come. I remember feeling so relieved when Art shoved Scotty out the door 😂 I was so scared he was gonna get himself killed right at the end. I’m also just glad in general that the show didn’t fall into the same trap that so many do where they think they have to kill a bunch of characters for shock value just because it’s the end. It’s so much more impactful that Mrs S was the last of ours to go and because of her sacrifice they were able to win
Ya that makes sense! It did occur to me that she was younger than the Charlotte actress at that point. And Ukrainian accent is probably really hard for such a young actress if she'd never done it before!
Yes that was a fantastic Rachel moment!! Seeing her sestra as a human and defending her humanity. Rachel came so far!
I'M SO GLAD SCOTTY IS OK. I never would have forgiven the show if something happened to him. And you're right, if too many people died it would have drowned out Mrs S and her sacrifice. I think it's perfect that she gave her life so that no one else would have to. She was a mum to her dying breath. Giving life to all her chickens.

Honestly, Mark and Gracie were never characters that mattered much to me, but with your reactions, their ending hurt me more. So sad 😕
