Carol is acting like an idiot running off after Alpha which was clearly a trap, even a blind man could see it and props for Gabriel, he went full Rick and it was awesome .
Saylos Relyks yes, what carol is doing is stupid. But I get why. I mean if alpha decapitated my child and put his head on a stick, I would run after her too. Also, carol has been through a lot. She has lost every child she’s gotten close with. So I understand why she is doing this, but she is still being stupid and putting the group in danger.

Alphas smart enough to know that gamma was becoming weak and probably telling Arron, so she moved the heard before they find them

@Gabe Gibson That's what is so interesting about the communities' interaction with the Whisperers. I'm never %100 sure that a Whisperer is telling the truth. I think Gamma was truthful, but I never really felt that Alpha trusted Gamma. Alpha always has a plan and she uses her people as if she's playing chess with them. She sacrifices their lives, even convincing them that living in that way is the only option.
I definitely think that too. Since, from the clips for next season we got immediately following the ending of this episode, she came to Alexandria to tell them that the group were in trouble. If she was lying, why would she go to that trouble? Not to mention Alpha purposefully led the group to the horde (BTW, smart place to hide a horde, an old mining shaft)

I'm not even sure after her little cry, the way she responded, as she walked off, it came off a bit as if it was a show.... or at least "enough" to keep Daryl at 10ft. She wants this on her own terms. I'm hoping for a whole Carol POV ep where we see all this, through her eyes.
Yes I think Daryl knows Carol , he knows she wants revenge for Henry and the others deaths. But I think he wants her to look for their future

Father Gabriel was the MVP of this episode, in my opinion!
Gabriel did what Rosita should have done in the beginning of the episode.
The way Virgil reacted to Michonne quoting Rick, as if he had heard it before, and knowing that theyre going to an island theyve never seen before... could be Michonne and Rick are going to reunite.
She was quoting Siddiq, as was Rick when he used that line. It has a double meaning for her here.
Plus the island they’re going to is a small naval base. Virgil didn’t mention other people, just his wife and children. So I don’t think that’s it. And Rick isn’t coming back for the show. Just the movies.

Yeah I don't think she knew they move them out of the field. Her job was to take them to the field, then those other guys move them down into the cave. Remember when Daryl and Carol first saw them in the field, they also said that place was just a staging area.

@@calebsmommy812 Really I think she was doing it from the word 'go' because she already had a 'reliable' spy on the inside (Dante), so what did she really need Gamma for?! Gamma's just a young girl and Alpha is a grown woman, I think she 'rightly' believed Gamma would EVENTUALLY be torn up about feeding her baby sister to those Walkers! And a little bit of kindness (Aaron is kind after all) could a long way with a teenager, it did for her daughter!

if you remember Carol killed 2 ppl at the prison for 'the greater good' when the pig flu broke out. i could see her making a plan despite her past feelings toward Negan with him to be a whisperers mole and made a plan and let him out.

ending was kinda anticlimactic, but best part was Gabriel going beast on Dante, serving justice for Siddiq.

The episode was good, but I was expecting more since it’s a MID-SEASON FINALE
TWD usually puts more into premieres than finales
Would definitely have been bigger with gimple in charge, but Angela Kang seems to just include the big moments when they’re necessary to the story rather than shoehorning it into finales, like with 15 being the climax last season rather than 16
String Cheese Doughnut with gimple we wouldn’t even have this episode we would still be at the bridge part at season 9
Yeah I was expecting a least a few main characters to die in this episode
I LOVE Carol (she's around my age, and I love seeing a badass action hero that is a woman in her 50s) , love her, but she is on a path that is going to lead to either her, or someone she loves, end.

@@Ashley_e Because Daryl has actually 'changed', he's not the irresponsible & impetuous person he was so just like Rick didn't tell Michonne his plan for Alexandria because he knew she could (and would) talk him out of it, so too with Carol & Daryl now.

If her actions cause Connie or Kelli to die, I wonder if Daryl will snap. I say Kelli only bc of her relationship to Connie.

Vergil is a good character from the comics. Michonne will not be leaving until the end of the season. She was on set filming episode 13.

This episode definitely had its great moments and some weak moments!!

THIS moment...this is when Father Gabriel got what happened in his church - his "four walls and a roof" - when those Termites showed up, and Rick's group took them out. I really felt bad for Gabriel.

The mid-season finale was excellent. It answered questions, satisfied character AND viewer anger and left bigger questions for the future. I wish every season of TWD had been this loaded with episodes full of stories full of punch.

Virgil has some major balls. Imagine if rick or machone was in his predicament. There’s NO way they’d tell em where there group was. For him to divulge that info made me feel like he was sincere in his offering of help.

I think anyone that entered Alexandria with them is a 'Rick Grimes Family' OG. I include Aaron because he's the one that found them and brought them there, plus he was loyal to Rick from the moment they entered Alexandria.

This doesn't mean that Mary was lying. Even in the previews for the next half shows Mary still helping by telling the others that the group is in trouble. I think she is going to be the ONE thing that our home team has going for them. Amazing episode. Amazing season so far. God damn, I never thought that this show could get better once Rick and Carl were gone. Don't get me wrong, it would be THAT much better if they were still there, but still. It has been so damn good since Gimple fucked off and Angela Kang took over as show runner. Oh, and Gabriel has been there since season 5, so... 5 years he's been on the show. He's earned his OG status, haha!
Part 2 is coming back February 23rd. Seems like forever! I was SO mad at Carol for taking off the way she did knowing that it was probably a trap. Yes they wrote her like that to fulfill the disaster that is befalling them now. But the Carol who saved everyone at Terminus and so many other times would NEVER have run after Alpha like that! And risk losing her? Never, no, I rate this episode an 8 just for that. And Alpha even grinned back at her! Bring our old Carol back please.
Mary/Gamma didn’t know, she’s an ally. She tells Alexandria about the group stuck in the cave in the teaser for next year. Alpha knows there’s a rat in the group

Don't worry, apparently Michonnes story is just on pause for now and they plan on her returning in a couple seasons. I'm waiting for that Rick/Judith/Michonne reunion in season 12 or 13 lol.

True but Carol took that 'particular' Michonne story arc, this is something different. I believe she's coming back though because if she doesn't than the scene with her holding a 'BAT' ends up just being some deleted scene; plus I believe she was in the 'Coming Attractions' after the episode aired for episode 9.

They will then accept him as a full member of the group, at which point Maggie will return and start raising hell that he isn't still in his cage.

Just curious why no one has mentioned Virgil's orange/pink hicking backpack? The color itself is like a flashing red light sale! Specifically, if Virgil came from a military base/environment, why not have some type of Cammo-colored pack? I'm very suspicious of Virgil and Michonne's destination!

It was sad for me that Daryl and Carol got in a fight. They never had a fight and it just tears me up because they’re best friends.
After all they've been through with the psychopath whisperers, how can this group not see they're being played by Alpha through Gamma/Mary - who is also being played by Alpha???
Michonne is leaving the show but later on in season 10 who knows we may get to see her the actress come back in TWD movies with Rick in theaters we can only hope🙏🏼 but she wanted to pursue other opportunities
