I'm 15, just found out about copywriting around a week ago. I haven't come from a wealthy family so just trying to work from the bottom and get to the top. I've been watching many videos about it, some research and been doing some copywork. Got my business email set up today. I need to learn how to write better copy. Awesome!! The best way to start is going to sound annoying... but you just have to start writing! Start by re-writing good sales pages, writing mock copy to put your portfolio, etc. If you're really lost it might be a good idea to take a beginner level course. As a new copywriter I try to consume as much information on the subject as possible. I've found a few good sources on RUclips, but many of them seem to be sketchy unscrupulous douchebags. This channel is super refreshing and informative. Always my first port of call when looking for advice. Never change.
Thanks for your “advice” but it’s not that I don’t know this, I’m just not interested in it. I’m not interested in having a million subscribers of random people. RUclips isn’t my business. I have a successful business outside of this. My posse is copywriters and that is my genius zone. Copywriting is a small niche and I’m happy with serving that audience. At the moment I'm taking online courses to have some type of credentials but I'd actually prefer to just write and improve my writing skills this way. I'd ideally also like to be paid while learning. Or do you think it's better to offer my copywriting for free in return for testimonials?

Sharing my own perspective, you don’t need business school to learn copywriting. Tons of resources can be used to help you learn without the need of a course. Check out reddit for some top recs for books.

create mock copy! pretend that you were hired by a brand of your choosing, to write XYZ.. then follow all the steps you would as if it was a real project. Or alternatively you can re-write existing copy
Today, someone told me if I want to become a good copywriter I should give attention to my competitors and write a copy like them before writing for my target audience. what do you think about that Alex? because as for me before I start writing a copy I fix my persona and I try to write a copy for them. however, my copy always have a headline, a hook, an objective, and a CTA .
It’s not a bad approach to learning how to write for someone else’s ideal customer profile. Try it out for yourself and see how it feels. The trick to copywriting is practice, practice, practice.

I don't see why not! There are plenty of copywriters who specialize in one type of copy, such as Sales Pages, emails, or FB ads, etc.
